He's right, the Maverick is what the Ranger should have been. Having driven both, the Ranger is too much old truck, might as well be an f-150 variant.

I am happy with my 2022 Maverick XLT with 2.0 Ecoboost. Coupled with a utility trailer in tow I have the same or better carrying capacity for most of my needs than my gas guzzler full size truck.
Yeah even the 2.0 turbo has pretty darned good MPG and some serious power to go along! Glad to hear about your utility trailer, that’s what I plan too!
Went and checked one of these out and it had a "Market" mark up of 5k plus other charges and they had the nerve to be offended when I made fun of them for trying to sell a 20k truck for 30k.
I totally understand the frustration! That’s why I contacted about 200 dealers and found one who was able to not charge 5-10K over book. It’s crazy times out there!
I currently have a GT350 and Fusion. Past owner of an Escape and Ranger. All bought new. I will be buying a new Santa Cruz in May with minimal markup, and at least I get something in exchange. Ford Dealer markups are a slap in the face to Ford’s regular customers and while I want a Maverick, Ford Dealers can kiss my Gluteus Maximus.
@@dahe8883 Well then you haven't looked around. They're all doing. Hyundai's in my area have 4-7k ADM on them.

I wish my dealer would have contact me about my Maverick like Tony dealership does. Like when production started and finished and when it shipped and when it estimated to be received by dealer and where it was as it travels by train. All my dealer said to me was it was delivered.
Yeah, I’ve been pretty happy working with Tony. Dealerships make a world of difference!
I've been getting emails from Ford telling me when it was scheduled to build, when it was built, and when it shipped. It should be here next week, ordered it 1/19/22.

I had ZERO contact with my dealer since the moment the deposit went down. No emails, no phone calls, nothing. Couple of days ago I got a call saying it was in and to come pick it up. When I asked why, they told me the salesman retired.
I've had mine a couple of months and it is a great vehicle. Ordered in June, 2021 and took delivery in December. I think Ford is not taking orders now to allow them to build what they have on order already.
Not too shabby on delivery time. What trim/engine/color did you get?

I wish the state of the new car market favored the buyers…it does not. Demand is smashing supply, It sounds like you were ones who was able to buy a high demand vehicle under/at MSRP, Congrats! What color did you get?

Who cares what a Dealer really thinks they don't make the cars? A dealers job is to take as much money form you as possible and your job is to keep as much money as possible. No random Dealer is your friend
I’d bought 20+ new vehicles and I know what a difference a reputable dealer cab make. Friends..well if they treat you right they establish Loooooong term relationships..bad and peace out!

Power Ranger, it's morph'n time! Queue sick guitar. I looked up one to buy in Canada and the price is really good for a hybrid machine. It's actually super encouraging that you can get something like this for under 30K right now. Congrats on the new truck brother.
I’m really excited and to be honest the power ranger has and continues to serve me well! But yeah it’s an amazing deal!
Ordered my Lariat FX4 with the technology and 4k tow on Oct 14. Received it January 9th.

Been from Australia I wish we got Maverick, just like you I would get Hybrid drivetrain, XL trim, but all wheel drive but I know it’s not on offer Hybrid. Interesting building process👍

Why not talk about the justification on the markups.. 7-10k .. they have no problem doing it ..so why not say it openly on the justification on doing it ?
I'll reiterate what I've told other views.. I think you bring up some great points. Currently Mavericks are selling at an average %25 over MSRP. Ford corporate has been pissed off and threatening to withhold new products for dealers marking up over MSRP. The truth of the matter is that with so little supply and huge demand, dealers can do that. Don’t kid yourself It’s not just ford dealers, it’s all dealers with high demand products. Used car prices are up 20% so it’s basically the same. Also as much as I’m sure that would make excellent viewing, I’m 100% sure dealers would not consent to making themselves look bad in any sort of interview. And who I talked to was not a friend, that was a dealer..my dealer who sold me the Maverick. That dealer was the first in 200 I contacted that did not try to super gouge me, or even had one available to order. I feel that frustration Guillermo! Many do and it sucks!
@@MCCJustMotos i agree is all dealers.. the Toyota Rav4 hybrid sport base starts at 40k .. So even a markup on a hybrid truck is still 5k lower than that. .. people are complaining more on the maverick because they majority of our client category was for those that could finally afford it at 20k .. Really never could as promised.

@@guillermoortiz1492 TBH and I’ll probably catch heat for this, is the Maverick is really $5000-$7000 underpriced vs. anything else out there…Compared to everything else Ford really underpriced it…and dealers are taking advantage. What color truck do you have?
@@MCCJustMotos no you should not get any heat ..the daym truck is way underpriced.. i really believe it was at least 7k underpriced Base model should start at least 25-7k .. the escape hybrid starts nearly at 29k ..i dislike blue.. but i let my son choose the color this time and he picked area 51 blue

I ordered a XLT hybrid with copilot 360 back on 9/9/2021 and still have nothing but 3 e mails from ford 😪 very disappointed
Yup, I only have 2 emails so your 1 ahead of me. The best thing I can say is you’re not alone and Ford’s not alone in this huge delays with customers getting cars I heard Toyota has cars that are three years out after ordering.
My June 26 xlt hybrid order arrived mid Feb. I got no emails, just a surprise call from the dealer it's in. I had the same discouragememt about when and if will it ever be built.

Why not do a video on how greedy dealers justify fleecing Ford customers. Would love to hear all the excuses you can record from all the dealers who enjoy our support for Ford products during the lean times, then turn around and bite us when they get a chance. I’m switching over to a car manufacturer that thinks I’m a customer not a pincushion.

I do know a few dealers not asking over MSRP, it’s a good way to maintain loyal customers.
@@MCCJustMotos I’m well aware of the ADM situation and the rest of it. I looked all over for a Maverick and was willing to travel but every single dealer was more than happy to take advance to the tune of 5 to 10K over. Again, make a video whereas they justify to you why they have to gouge the Ford customer to that degree, instead of maybe $1K over. Go find the dealers, instead of talking to the friend. I’m sure Ford Corporate would be interested in it.

@@MCCJustMotos a salesman at a dealership in Coco FL called me yesterday. Told me a about a Lariat that came available on the lot. I said send me the sticker and what’s the ADM. His manager wants $6,000 ransom. I told him dealers were pissing off customers like me, and the guy who ordered the truck, waited for it, then refused to be upcharged which is why they were offering it to me. I said justify it. His excuse was the housing market. He said people were paying more for houses, for example. He said they weren’t getting inventory so they have to make more profit to keep the dealership afloat. For one thing, I asked, why exactly $6K? It’s just arbitrary. He said if the car didn’t sell he’d let me know. So what if everyone sold products this way? Only the rich could afford products. There is no shortage of Marvericks that are driving dealerships into bankruptcy. They are doing fine. It’s going to backfire; there are only so many suckers with money who Ford Dealerships can screw over, and I’m now a Hyundai customer, I’m getting a Santa Cruz.

I feel ya, but keep in mind ALL dealers are just like that..7 cars on the lot when there used to be hundreds. Toyotas Have the love longest wait times of any of the car makers. Some cars have to wait 3 + years for. Sad reality.
@@MCCJustMotos it is really sad.. for once in my life I have a sizable amount of cash saved to buy a 25k vehicle outright and nothing is available
So Ford basically made a Flex into a Ranchero.
More accurately a Ford Escape into a ranchero!
@@MCCJustMotos I knoa it's based on the Escape underpinnings but if yoy look at the wheelbase and dimensions it's nearly identical to the Flex.
