  • This is the system to develop back corner shots in a controlled situation with many hits and fluent movement. The movement is the key as it gets the best ball to body relationship for power and options.
As you see the timing can be difficult to master requiring fast feet movements and then the added target and power hit target as players get better.
This will lead to rotating drives which is a critical routine to master but you must do the work early to make rotating drives easy.

Thanks for the video Garry. I take it “racquet up to left shoulder “ and “face the back wall” are 2 of your key couching points for getting good rotation on the backhand?

Early racquet prep and body prep will give power and options and most players are late with these movements so if you can learn early prep at an early age you will have effortless power.

@@squashanalysis5670 thanks. I’ve been playing for years and never learnt this properly at a young age. Do you have any tips for practicing it in my case? Maybe could be a whole video in itself.

what is the advantage of two legs drive in the back over one leg?

You hit more with your core muscles and use far less energy to hit a much more powerful and more consistent drive.
