I really value The Man Without fear. His work with Frank Miller - It was a seminal and important graphic novel. Respect. A diamond amongst a lot of trash.
Love his interpretation of Spider-Man. I have to admit, I didn't really like his run on X-Men back in the day, but over the years, when I look back on those issues, his art with Dan Green's inks is really outstanding. I've gained an appreciation for his art on projects other than Spidey and X-Men too. Maybe he'll never transcend the label of "Romita's son", but as far as I'm concerned, he's carved out a legacy of his own in this industry.
the best artist who draw spider man..for me.He bring certain wilderness and dirt spider man needed and remove a bit of his naivety.......the best spider man to the date...with all respect for other artists...
I love his current Superman storyline with Geoff Johns, it's the best combination in the book since new 52 start. I love his Spider-man and his drawings as a whole as well.
I love his work. He draws the best spider-man ever. I am a fanatic of his work in the amazing spider-man. I just like the way he draws, the level of details in his artwork is just incredible.
He may be humble about his artistic skills, but his visuals on Man Without Fear became the template for the Marvel TV First season version of Daredevil.
0:26 Funny for those of us who don't know that much about comics (yet) to imagine why on earth he's talking about The Karate Kid. Now I'm a little wiser...
John Romita Jr and Roger Stern were an awesome team. AMS 226-227: Black Cat AMS 229-230: Juggernaut. AMS 231-232: Cobra and Mr Hide. AMS 233-236: Brand's plot AMS 238-239, 244-245, 249-250: Hobgoblin. John Romita jr and Dennis O’Neil were an awesome Team as well. AMS 208 Fusion and Lance Bannon (I miss them AMS 210 Madame Web AMS 211 Namor and Joseph Pincus (I miss the later). AMS 212 Hidromam AMS 213-215 Frightful Four AMS 217-218 Sandman and Hydroman AMS 223 Roger Hochberg (I miss him)
Ugh... John Romita Jr. I don't like his art style, but every once in a while, some of his drawings look gorgeous. Gotta give credit when credit is due.
Which begs the question: what is storytelling in this case? I mean isn't it already a sign of bad storytelling if those action scenes lack life (just going by what the other guy said)? And I don't even mean this in a rhetorical way, I'm actually curious. I like JRJR's drawing style (and action scenes) tremendously but they always say he's a storyteller first. Is there any other way to describe his storytelling skills other than... I don't know, "it's clear" or something?
Nope,he have different stile then Miller,Miller is best Comic Director from beginning of Comix known as art , he influenced generations of Artist in Directing a Comic but in Drawing Romita have his own style...
am i the only one that find him average? i mean, he was great on punisher warzone, daredevil with Frank Miller, thor, amazing spiderman, but since a couple on years he is bad, his work on kick ass is bad even though it is clear and easy to read...
by more than one likes or does not like another, his art sells and will continue to sell, though his father is better, do not worry because we like your drawing, you are concerned about selling their comics
I really value The Man Without fear. His work with Frank Miller - It was a seminal and important graphic novel. Respect. A diamond amongst a lot of trash.
John is very underrated artist. I love his gritty style.
I, mother-freaking, love John Romita, Jr artwork! On the rare days that I open my comic books, I look for JRJ's stuff to look at, each time.
He's one of my favorite artists and I still enjoy his work.
great artist seems like a good man too
Best JRJR you are the man!
Quick and beautiful!
I love this guy. He has improved a lot.
Romita Jr best artwork to date imo
I love the way that John romita draws and I love the end result

jr jr is definitely not a bad artist I think his art style fits with characters like punisher, daredevil ,wolverine and so on
JR JR your great!!!
JRJr owns. Love his work.
I can relate to him as a artist my self
His run of the Punisher back in the 90's was awesome. I love his blocky and bulky style. Very simple and easy to read the planes of the body.
Legend!!!!
Ditko and Romita Sr were great but, honestly, Romita Jr I'd THE definitive Spiderman artist as far as I'm concerned. His Daredevil was great too.
the best artist who draw spider man..for me.He bring certain wilderness and dirt spider man needed and remove a bit of his naivety.......the best spider man to the date...with all respect for other artists...
I'm so excited, I might be meeting this guy today
great artist great personality!
He's going to be drawing Superman now with Geoff Johns writing. They are taking over after Scott Lobdell.
I love his current Superman storyline with Geoff Johns, it's the best combination in the book since new 52 start. I love his Spider-man and his drawings as a whole as well.

Oh shit! Its tony danza
I love his work. He draws the best spider-man ever. I am a fanatic of his work in the amazing spider-man. I just like the way he draws, the level of details in his artwork is just incredible.

2:00 He's not a patch on his dad.
Classic style beats deadline style every day.
One of the best & other than Bruce Timm only person who holds up the Kirby crown. Not bad at all. Show respect to the greats .
john romita jr is the man kick-ass lol
His work on Uncanny X-men was his finest...
this guy is my 2ed fav artist. Bagly being the 1st.

I hope he stays I love his art work his unique I love how he draws daredevil! ")
Yeah it great
I like his 80's-90's style. But the recent ones not so much.
had to put aside their detail to be faster, it is clear that the draw comics is a business
its all about the storytelling.
Yea, need a bio behind it...
Hmm his characters are a bit tinnier then Millers but he have really great solutions he modernized it...
Ralph Macchio. NOT the actor, the EDITOR!
Ugh... John Romita Jr. I don't like his art style, but every once in a while, some of his drawings look gorgeous. Gotta give credit when credit is due.
What's wrong his art style? Look thd same in comic character
Yeah AvX isn't his best work, but I think he was rushed to get those books on time. It's also pretty hard to draw all those characters that quick.
Dead lines
I have the issue he worked on with frank miler
I kind of like his art more than his fathers
Braxton Pap yah his art reminds me jack kirby

What
I liked his late 70s iron man and 80s spider man but that's it. He also had good inkers those days. Never liked his stuff afterwards.
whoa nice earrings
maybe it's just his colorist and inker for his latest books that make em look flat nd ugly. his man without fear run is beautiful .
i'm a great fan of jrjr but i can't disagree with you, totally
Go back to the Daredevil, please!
@elgriego331
funny because he is considered by many overrated xD, but this interview explains his art style which does make sense
Nope,he have different stile then Miller,Miller is best Comic Director from beginning of Comix known as art , he influenced generations of Artist in Directing a Comic but in Drawing Romita have his own style...
Drugs have nothing to do with it, flash to "Eight Ball"!
IM BATMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
am i the only one that find him average? i mean, he was great on punisher warzone, daredevil with Frank Miller, thor, amazing spiderman, but since a couple on years he is bad, his work on kick ass is bad even though it is clear and easy to read...
@xAxelTheGreatx ALREADY MARRIED WITH KIDS, YOU KNOW THAT, RIGHT?:p
Cool guy, but art is not passable. I know if I handed something like what he does to DC or Marvel, I'd never get a job
+John Noble (GEM Reviews) well you know shit. This guy is a legend, and deserved his spot
IGarrettI I think you meant to say, "His dad is a legend. Thats why he has a job..."
John Noble nah bro
Your drawings fucking suck
by more than one likes or does not like another, his art sells and will continue to sell, though his father is better, do not worry because we like your drawing, you are concerned about selling their comics
I dislike his art style !
I don't like his art, his fathers is better.
