Dennis, it is a bit of a challenge to learn but the potential of the technique id boundless. It just takes patience and a bit of practice! Just remember pianists don't start learning with a Chopin polonaise...they all start with ..Mary Had a Little Lamb...and that lamb's got baggage that ain"t Louis Vuitton!

It happens to everyone. This got made because it happened while I was preparing a different video...so i figured might as well film this as well!

Hello! I purchased a year ago your amazing book but I had some trouble to understand the 1,2,3 stitch to embroidery individual sequins. Can you upload a video explaning the process?

Phillipe, I know the section of the book you mention. As it happens I was just filming demos from that chapter this morning when the sequins got away from me.....that's when I decided to make and post this video! Starting in September I will be posting ...hopefully every week a demo to go along with each chapter of the book. The filming of the "Isolated Elements" chapter is done I just have to get editing done so it will be ready to upload this fall. Be sure to subscribe so you will get the notices when the videos get posted. Be patient...all will be revealed! PS. glad you liked the book...tell your friends!;)

What fabric do you recommend for beginners? I’ve found that the more sheer ones are easily rip ...

the best fabric on which to learn the technique is silk organza. If the fabric is tearing when you make he stitch your are applying WAY TOO MUCH TENSION ON THE THREAD! As the song goes "...let it go...:

I start all my student son silk organza as it is very tough and yet forgiving. IF your fabric is tearing when you work the stitch you are missing a step in the process or using way too much thread tension.
