    Are you using a length of thread that is preloaded with beads? I am watching all of this for the first time and haven't tried this yet, thanks.

      In all cases the beads or sequins are put onto a SPOOL of thread. That is why a tambour beader needs beads that come in hanks and sequins that come in worms ...just tie the thread the beads/sequins come on to the spool of thread to be used and transfer them ! Easy peasy! Sometimes the beads one wants to use dont come in hanks but are loose. In that case a bead spinner makes short work of threading up the spool with beads
