One thing that really adds a lot of ambience to the shot is room noise. I always record audio of the space I'm in for a minute or two. It's almost like it adds a 3D effect to the sound.
Great points 🔥
So you mean you pre-record a space, like a park, and then overlay that on the recording of the audio of the actual shot?
@@ClapperDan Yes. If I'm shooting a scene in a park. I will take my portable Zoom H1n and record two minutes of natural ambient sound of the park. When editing I drop that audio track onto my timeline and bring the level up just enough to start opening up the audio. I'm not really sure how to explain it but you will hear it. Liked I said, for me at least, it almost gives your audio a 3D effect
Room tone.
Going to make a helpful comment on the lighting. I took 5 years of film acting classes and in there we often went over how to set up lighting to film ourselves for self-taped auditions. The best tip I was given on the cheap was to go to Lowes and get the cheap clamp lamp with the conical front and the back end adjusts and has a squeeze clamp. Then take dryer sheets and tape them around the outside of the cone creating a cheap diffuser. It costs maybe $15-$20 to create and if you're getting started, it became invaluable to my setup kit.
Love it!
What a great tip! Thanks for sharing!
Just picked up mine s24ultra, this is dope information!! Thank you!!!!
Glad I could help!
This is hands down one of the best filmmaking videos I have ever seen.
Thanks!
Finally! Thanks bro! I was looking for a video like this. With that quality, with this exact phone for my music videos Thank you! I liked, subscribed and when im ready to shoot finalize i will be enrolling in the course. Especially to see the full breakdown and edit of the beginning scene! Thank you for all your hardwork! You're the best!
Very informative, learned a good amount of things here! Subbed! Thank you!
No words. Subscribed! ❤❤
hey thanks for the video, especially appreciate the settings info. I have one question though, under settings > advanced video options do you ever turn on the HDR10+ setting?
Thx Anthony..so inspiring to start a new lesson for filming.
You got it!
It's really helpful video, thanks for the great content. Question, do you edit your videos in laptop/PC? How do you usually transfer the videos from S24 to pc/laptop? Since I can't seem to find a fast and stable way to transfer big video files from the phone, any tips?
Ayehoo, this is so entertaining and nicely explained!
👍🏻💪🏻🔥
What an amazing video! Fantastic suggestions on improving everything as well.
What do you suggest for the person who's genuinely looking to do it all on their s24 ultra? I'm trying to have a completely self contained system in my new s24 ultra (meaning no need to carry a laptop, subscription editing software for said laptop, as well as a subscription for music as well).
I previously used VLLO on my s22 ultra, which worked fairly well...but the music selection was...questionable. Exporting 4k/high quality videos always seemed to result in some unexplainable choppiness (filmed @24fps and exported @24fps).
I'd love to see/hear your suggestions for editing professional videos WITHIN the s24 ultra, this would be such a huge step for mobile content creators!
Maybe a comparison of mobile editing apps?
Love the video and the channel, can't wait to see more!
Im new to this and plan to learn more, will see where it takes me 😁, thank you for your motivational video.
Loved the intro😂, cool tip to put while balance to manual before record. this video deserved million views!
Thanks so much!
Awesome information thk u
I have the Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra and I don't have a microphone plug in option. Does the 24 Ultra have one? I see you have it linked, but I didn't see it on your person. I'm asking because I'm actually about to upgrade and I am also looking into getting the Sony ZV-1 Mark 2 camera. I'm thinking that the phone would be the better option. Your thoughts?
Very detailed and cost friendly video! Thanks a lot!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you 😊
Learned so much just from this one video. Thanks man.
Glad to hear it!
I'm gonna shoot some metal concert videos next month (not professionally, for myself and to share with friends) what frames do you recommend? 24 or 30? It's gonna be mostly dark with the occasional lights/flames going on and off during choruses, solos etc.
You rock man!
Thank you!
In the camera settings there is anamorphic lense correction built into the s24 ultra for x1.33-x1.55 lenses
Good job ❤👌✊
Really great summary and inspiring 👏👌.
I'm familiar with the processes, but I still got good new little tricks and reminders.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
Good job❤️ i love s24 ultra i wish i could have it one day
Very good video. So informative. Kudos
Glad it was helpful!

I just purchased my S-Ultra and excited to get going. I have to say this is one of the very best well thought out and explanatory Videos on Filmmaking with a Phone i have ever come across and it takes a lot to impress me..well done and respect
Glad it was helpful!
Is the s24 ultra that large of an improvement over the camera on the base model or could i get away with using the base model to start making videos?
So good video priceless informations and ideas. But problem is that's not budget filming at all. But all others are really good nice of you to share with us all this informations and ideas.
14 day film maker is awesome! Highly recomend!
Thanks Brian!
Does this work for foldables to
Great video 👍🏼

Can you please help me with choice of gimbal for Samsung s24 Ultra. I can't figure it out.
Hi you always doing great job brother your the best Assad ali from Kenya Mombasa Africa
🙏🏻💪🏻🔥
You happen to have a video like this for the iPhone 15 pro?
Thanks for this video, this is something I was looking for since I bought my S24 Ultra! Would you say the Shiftcam's LensUltra lineup matches the S24 Ultra camera specs? I can see the anamorphic works perfectly even though they say on their website it only works with the S23 series. Any thougts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Yes they work perfectly together 🔥
This dude is a legend 😎
Thanks for another great informative video....always go to your channel when I get a new phone🙌
I appreciate that!
Great video. Thanks for your tips about S24 Ultra...I'm just bying it :)😄🙃

:)
Good tips for content creators
Glad you think so!
Hİ from Turkey. Thank you.
How are deciding where exactly to angel the camera when the screen is facing the opposite direction?
Film test clips and review them followed by adjusting the camera
Do one for photo please
Why my pro video camera is flipped like mirror but it up to down
Subbed off this first video!
Thanks so much!
@@MrPaulXavier you're welcome 😊
Would the apple pro res be better than the s24 ultra??? cause I don't think u can true cc in s24 file output?
Yes Apple pro res is for sure a superior codec for people serious about color grading
A segment on outdoor settings would have been great
We use the same exact settings outdoors, only addition would be an ND filter which we talk about in our recent video on s24 camera accessories.
Mine doesn't have a button to change resolution to uhd. It's just not there
You need to be in pro video mode
I have a Samsung 23 ultra. Can you tell me what resolution I'd need? I don't see 4k as an option. It's on UHD 30 right now
UHD is the same as 4k
In pro mode you wanna go uhd 24
What iMovie equivalent does Samsung have to edit videos on the phone?
I would use CapCut. We teach that in our course and have a video on it on this channel as well
I'm going to save this to try on my s25 ultra nexts year.
Nice!
Would it be possible for you to make a comparison video of uploading story and post quality in Instagram for both videos and photos between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S24
Ultra?
Samsung announced that they have done a partnership with insta for optimisation
I will definitely look into this!
I'm confused why we would switch it to auto for white balance, just to switch it back to manual before filming. What's the point of switching it to auto?
To lock in the autofocus so it doesn’t change while filming. You use auto to set it in the correct spot and then manual mode keeps it locked there so it doesn’t shift accidentally
Ok. Thank you
So to master the s24 ultra cinematic filmmaking i need all the equipment for cinematic filmmaking for a camera anyway? :/ very informative
Absolutely not. They’re just extras
Douche
Can anyone suggest best gimbal for Samsung galaxy s 23 ultra
Hohem and DJI are my favorite brands. Click our recommended gear link in the description!
Are you selling used s22,s23 ultra or something like that i need to get a one
I am not right now
One tip I can give as a graphic designer and still applies to photography and cinematography is practice practice practice.
Yup!
❤❤❤
Awesome. I use 3 S21 ultras for 3 camera podcasts because they're so powerful yet cheap. I use the pro-mode too. But this S24 makes me HUNGRY!
Haha i know exactly how you feel
*Meanwhile video is 16 mins long 🤔*
Haha I’m sorry we provided one extra minute 🥶
There's an intro in the first minute😅
Special Edition: directors cut
I know, could e done without seeing him brush his teeth 😑
😅
Whay 24 FPs?
The 24 FPS gives the video a more cinematic feel that you know out of movies. Less makes it feels glitch and more fps will make tlyour movie appear more like a home video. It's a hood trick and works really well because it balances the motion blur.
One day i will be a part of your Community 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I hope so too!
But why are no one asking why you can't use the contrast, saturation etc. in Pro video mode in 4k ??
"Pro shooters" would like to turn down the saturation a bit and have a flatter contrast for better post production, but I guess no Pro shoots over 1080 ?
It can't be a processor thing, I don't believe it!
I've had all the S Ultras, and every year I'm looking forward to this being fixed, but no :(
Watch from pakistan 🇵🇰 dude
💪🏻🔥
I guess I just have talent how did I know all of this before watching it lol
Bro got his own advertisement on his own video
Always 💪🏼
hai
Broke AF, still enjoying the content, what else do I need.
Patience and keep hustling! That’s all it takes 💪🏻🔥
Na ! Camera = photo Video camera = film phone==say hello LOL
😂😂
You made me hate photography, life, my work, my days, and my phone. I divorced my wife, and we were put in first care homes. My life’s motto became, “I will never imagine after today.”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
S23 ultra owner shift cam was horrible. If your not an iPhone owner. The Universal clip was a nightmare
Sorry to hear that, I honestly like the universal mount but I can see how it's not perfect.
Incredible🥹❤🔥
Thanks :)
2:23 2:25
??
First!
😁💪🏻🔥
What is Ultra cinematic?
Not sure what you're asking?
This video Doesn't support poor people poor country, You must need to be in Europe and America
You must need to have home like him
You must need to be Beautiful attractive like Him💔
SAying From Experience
You need to get partners. Pool your resources.
Where there is a will there is a way.
Good luck.
Ewan pero ang lamya ng dating ng parts ng bini, it can sell to high schoolers tho, rap parts were so good.
Huh?
footage sharpness is too strong. But then it's a Samsung phone.
Yeah a little over sharpened
25 or 30 fps is better fps.
Care to back that up with an explanation? 25 is specific to European countries whereas 24 is for US so not sure why you would say 25 is better than 24.
The video is labeled as 15 minutes, but it actually runs for 16 minutes... Should we all press charges?
Hahaha I’m sorry I failed you
@@MrPaulXavier and you’re lucky we didn’t press any charges
Can tell its a smartphone but its good but not the best
👍🏻🔥
24fps is not ideal
It’s definitely ideal if your goal is realistic motion blur. It’s also what 95% of Hollywood movies are shot in
I got the S24 Ultra and although a good phone I’m going back to Apple .My wife uses Apple and I miss airdrop to my iMac and her phone and generally sick of all the permissions Im expected to give almost every application.
bit useless
How so?
Another useless pointless review about dam photo video and sound quality. Where most of people need is how well would Sammy S24 📱 can get connections at Mt. Everest and Guam Pacific ocean bottom reception. Because what will happen when people need 2 🐝 connected @ 🕚 when lost at Mt. top or falls down in bottom of ocean.
Please U-tuber stop this stupid way of making money videos. I'm getting sick N tired of 👀 over again N again N again N again.
I’m so confused by this comment. The title of the video is very clearly about the photo and video qualities of this phone. Based on the title were you expecting something else? Or did you just click for the sake of leaving a negative comment 😂
IT just a phone 🎉
𝐒𝟐𝟒 𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐑𝐀 is king better than Apple. My new S24 ULTRA ❤
Haha why do Samsung fans hate Apple to much?
