Unfortunately the standard mode is very useful if you want to keep things simple, effective and fast. Promode is useful if you want a fixed setting for shutterspeed. Problem: overexposure when there is much light because ISO cannot go low enough. I tested Video vs Provideo. Provideo setting: auto-speed and auto-iso. Move the camera slowly from a dark area (ie in your home) to the outside world and back (30 seconds). Do this also for the standard videomode. Although you might expect no difference, you will notice that the standard videomode gives better results regarding overexposure in bright areas. My conclusion: Only use Promode in specific situations in combination with ND filter.
so the pro mode sample was with the ISO all the way turned down? Would you generally say outdoors during the day all the way down and indoors or at night bumped up to the max?
hey i have been facing issue with 24 ultra in pro video mode it giving flickers in indoor white light please tell me what setting i have to do i have tried every setting but still flickers does setting have pal format? please tell me
change the electrical freq according to your country. PAL(50hz)Europe, asia and australia, NTSC(60Hz)-North America, South America, Myanmar, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines, and some Pacific island nations and territories.
Yo, l've been having this weird issue with my Samsung S24 Ultra. When I record horizontal videos, there's this annoying lens flare on the left side of the main lens. Have you ever come across something like this? I could send you a video if you want
Hey Tom. Great video, really deciding between a couple phones. Have you tried testing out the Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra for videos and photography by any chance?
Video stabilization is actually digital one and it crops a bit. If you disable it you still have stabilization, the hw one. It's almost identical quality but not cropped.
why do you think the s24 ultra does not have 960fps video recording like the S20FE? That's a recording mode I use often and I was expecting that the s24 ultra, which is much more powerful, would have 960fps recording with longer times and more options (like better resolution, HDR, etc).
This works for S23 Ultra and up.. Use Pro Video - ISO: 250 or below, just play with it.. - MIC: Rear, you want to prioritize the sound on stage not the shouting of the audience.. - File Format: H.264 as HEIVC will consume a lot of storage.. - Turn slowly and steady when following the performer on stage, as it will be dizzy to watch when you get home.. If you want to practice, play a video on, turn off your lights on the room, and shoot from afar.. Enjoy your concert! 😊
My pictures randomly get dark, sometimes sometimes during editing, even before any adjustments are made, sometimes just while viewing my pictures. It's really weird behavior. Definitely a software glitch. Samsung needs to get this sorted out!
So the S24U cam actively switch lenses while recording at 4K 60fps huh? That's a first on any smartphone if I am not mistaken. Even the IP15 Pro doesn't do that.
@@ItsTomRich omg really? that's bragging rights right there. that doesn't get advertised and pointed out by reviewers well enough. it's my biggest complaint about the S23u.
For those who are having issues with their scenes adjusting to light you should (Lock Exposure). Technically there is no such thing as 1 setting that will work in every situation. Spend a little time with your phone and learn the settings in different lighting situations.
I would like to see the s24 ultra recording with the mcpro24fps app, I have tested it with my s23 ultra device and I like the quality, that is if it is necessary to use a gimbal.
That dude meant "video recording" not video playback. Thought he'd address the broken Prime Video playback that renders videos darker than on my 6yo Note 9.
Yes unfortunately it's due to light frequencies. On normal cameras this is fixed by changing from PAL to NTSC but don't think that's possible on these devices
@@ItsTomRich what about iPhones? Have you ever had a similar problem? I've seen it when recording a video with a light, for some reason the light was flickering, even the iPhone had a flare
Hi, i have just tried to capture the cruise ship going out of port in Scotland the focus was absolutely rubbish not impressed atoll! Are these settings good for far away? So may settings in this camera my fold 5 isn't the best but its better than this at the moment till figure out what works best for these lenses! The auto lens switching i don't like on it seems to lag well you see it now switching through the lenses i don't like that much, im a samsung nut the camera has been amazing till tried the zoom and taking video from the balcony looking over the river at the ship
No, forget all smartphones but get a decent action cam e.g. like DJI Action4 with 10bit and LUT support. Costs a fraction of all flagships phones Samsung Apple Xiaomi whatever, is more robust, more flexible and gives even better quality. Took me some time to accept it, but it's simply the truth
This video just exposed my ignorance on cameras. S24 Ultra is the beast. I don't regret buying it
Yeah so many people just shit on s24 U's cameras but the truth is, they just don't know how to use it
I've been looking for something like this. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Is there a way to reduce video sharpening? like it is on the camera assistant app for picture softening ?
I'm shooting a workout video in the a.m. I'm going to give this a try and see how they come out. Thanks so much!
Good luck!
Is there any way to turn off raw dng processing in default camera and colour bending in 50MP and 200MP mode in low light situations?
Appreciate it. Im going to silverstone tomorrow and would like to know how to get the best quality, etc, when filming and taking photos .

At night bump up to where necessary - generally I’d keep the ISO as low as you can on the S24U
will be my next smartphone thank you so mush 😊
Have you ever had an issue where when you initially swap to video the screen shakes? And the video comes out wobly? Just for the first second?
Nice information on Samsung S24 Ultra 👍👍👍

I only have 12m or 50m resolutions on pro mode..any reasons,
i am using s24 ultra, 12-512. how can i take still photo while i keep shooting vdo in 4k 60 fps or 4k 60 fps HDR10+ mode?

Great video
. More please
Great tips! Thank you! 😊
There is no PAL option ?
I've been wanting to know how to use the camera app on Samsungs for maximizing the camera's full potential, thanks for this video
could u do budget phone like xiaomi redmi 13 settings for camera and video
can some of the settings work on the regular s24 too?
Lots of them

Can I sht 4K Video with 120fps?
I just got that yesterday ❤

I've gotten the sudden darkening also in the S24 plus. When I zoom out or zoom in on video recording, it shouldn't be happening. samsung needs to fix.
@FightMang36 The 5x lens captures less light, resulting in darker photographs.
I actually think thats the phone optimizing the photo it happens to me as well
try vivo x100 Pro, Great Camera

Using an IP15 Pro and it definitely does it
@@ItsTomRich omg really? that's bragging rights right there. that doesn't get advertised and pointed out by reviewers well enough. it's my biggest complaint about the S23u.
My videos turn out to be darker is there any particular reason behind it ?
Maybe it's just the scenery your trying to capture🤷🏾 When using manual mode you normally adjust your camera based of your environment, time and place
Bump up your iso
I'm trying to film dark videos 😭 I hate over exposured videos no matter the scene
get a lense for it. its a big difference
Turning HDR10+ off for sure doesn't give you the best quality possible
Can you explain more about why you want to turn off HDR10+
Hardly anyone has screens that actually can view them and lots of social media isn’t even compatible
@ItsTomRich does it store more info that would help with color grading or would it be basically the same and other issues are the limiting factor

Cant find uhd, 8k, 4k on my s24 ultra.
Is it just me or does the softening in Pro mode make videos look less good compared to regular video mode? I actually like the sharpening 😅

6:52 in the lamp i experienced the same thing

but if you'll share over insta HD 30fps is what people are recommending :(. I personally prefer FHD 60fps
This is probably true

My s20 ultra has still better pics and videos. I also have the s24 ultra and I'm not impressed with the overall photo and video quality
I used my friends s24, 4k 60 videos are so so noisy….
Lot of video noise
How to get 10x zoom video in S24 ultra? Help 🥲
Good info. Thank you!
