I actually recently watched one of your videos about clearing any item you haven't worn in a year in your closet - and I plan to do that after Christmas gifts are opened. Also, I've been trying to clear off my phone and get rid of all the loose papers and receipts around. Just general downsizing.
As an older person who has just recently come to realize that intentional living and aspiring to be more minimal is starting to bring some peace and joy in my life that I've been missing for far too many years, let me just say that the advice here is wise and thoughtful. Well done and thank you. For those who said "it's too much" - pick a couple things that resonate for you. You don't have to do them all.
I want to continue my decluttering project. It’s a long, slow process but the results are worth it as I see cleaner areas of my home. New subscriber here. Thanks for all the great advice!
1. I need to finish going through items that I know longer need and will donate them. 2. I will be backing up my things. 3. Buying a new laptop. 4. Getting rid of papers I no longer need.
I've been getting an early start with some of the things you listed, especially finance and my health. I always believe that it's never too late to get your life back in order. I hope you have a Merry Christmas, Ashlynne! :)
One thing that has been holding me back is that I can gather the things but like you said getting it out is tough. I don't have a vehicle so i depend on the person I live with which is less willing to declutter, but now what I'm doing is calling places like green drop and salvation army to come pick it up!
Doing a first round declutter on sentimental items to fit them down to one trunk (not including what's at my parents' house at this point). I'm sorting into Keep as Is, Scan/photograph, and get rid of (trash/donate). I also have a bunch of medical files that I'm putting into a spreadsheet and shredding. I don't expect I can get it all done with out-of-town travelling as well but I'm going to try. I'm also preparing myself for a drastic cut in my food budget so I can meet my savings goals.
I think you and I both need to add cleaning our laptop screen to this list! 11:37 Yours is almost as bad as mine. lol Thanks for the video! Bring on the roaring 20's!
I am finally going to schedule my eyebrow and hair appointment, buy 5 new camis so that I will only need to do laundry once every two weeks, and make my spreadsheets for my 2020 monthly budgets! 😊
The one of ending a relationship came hard. I'm going through a possible breakup with my partner right now. Big fight and troubles. Which means I will be spending Christmas alone this year. Like alone alone.
As a minimalist, you need to declutter 3 important things in your life in 3 categories: declutter your mind of any negativity, declutter materials you do not need or use any more and declutter relationships that do not serve you in any good way. This is the definition of the minimalist. I has watched a video of you of last year mentioning decluttering ugly living plants. Would you declutter an ugly animal or child from your life? It is a living creature. Try to be creative, care for this poor plant and amaze yourself with the results.
What is something you want to accomplish before 2020?

That’s so awesome! Glad you’ve found a creative solution!
I have been decluttering my bedroom and bringing things to donate!
I'm going to put my house up for sale in 2020, so I'm now getting everything down to the bare minimum to make for an easier move
Awesome! That’s a lot of work, but good luck!

Yey I decluttered my shed!!
Great ideas! I can probably do two of them! 👍
That’s great!

That must be really difficult, I hope you’re doing alright!
#17: I managed to start and end a relationship in December 2019, if that counts 😂
Helpful ideas ✔️ Adding two together: Declutter to do list 💚 Merry Christmas Ashlynne. TFS ☮️
So good! And glad you enjoyed 🥰
I am hoping to start digitizing my old pictures and I want to scan everything in my grab and go notebook.
That’s so awesome! Love the scanning notebook idea!

Which editing app do u use for thumbnails 🎉🎉
You should also do 20 things to do after 2020
Declutter more! Set some goals for the new year that I can succeed at.
Also, what do you use for budgeting?
I’ve used the app every dollar for a while!
For the IRA it's $6000! They increased it this year.
It seems too much to me in a so little time...
V good
It’s actually $6000 now, not $5500. Just FYI!
Thanks!
I'm not an adult yet but taxes seem scary and time consuming 😂😣
