Ashlynne Eaton my best advice about simplifying my life was definitely focusing on creating one habit at a time. When I started doing that habit without thinking about it, I could move on to the next. A year later I make my bed every day, take vitamins and get more stuff done each day. I’m more productive than ever and I feel less clouded by trying to remember these little habits.
1- turn off notifications 2- buy less 3-wake up 15 minutes earlier 4- simplify your financial life 5-learn to say no 6-single task 7- declutter your home 8-use the 80/20 rule 9- take time to decompress 10-unsubscribe from unwanted emails 11-focus on 3 goals 12-exercise daily 13-open fewer tabs 14-spend time alone 15-meditate 16-buy multi tasking products 17-write a to do list before you sleep 18-find a creative outlet 19-learn to pack light 20-opt for quality over quantity 21-take short breaks during your day 22-develop a simple morning routine 23- give yourselves some white space
I love this. All of it. I sometimes feel weird or wonder if people think I'm lazy for choosing a quiet, slow life but it allows me to actually live and not suffocate.
I turned off all notifications about a month ago (except for text, phone, and email for work) and I can’t even tell you how big of a difference it made.. it’s so much more peaceful, fr. I also deleted all social media.. it’s a struggle so far bc it IS an addiction but I notice without it I’m so much more productive in the day.
Just wanted to say that your videos are getting better and better. I remember seeing one a while ago, and you seemed a little nervous (still a great video, though), and that's gone in this video. Really cool to see you building your channel.
I love your videos. I started last week becoming a minimalist. This makes me so. I feel great. The more I donate the more I want to get rid of more stuff. Thank you.
Great list. I chuckled when you said learn to say no. Not because it's funny but because so many people struggle with this that I've seriously thought about starting a service to say no on behalf of other people. I absolutely love saying no. Been invited to a party you don't want to attend? I'd reply on your behalf with a no. LOL...seriously. Decompressing has been something I'm focusing on. I try to take a few minutes to sit in my car in silence before I head into the office. It has made a big difference. I also no longer listen to the news on my way to work because it was stressing me out.
This was a lovely video!! It makes me feel better about living a more simple life. Sometimes I feel guilty for not feeling stressed out and running around crazy like most people seem to. I love having time to just relax and live! Thanks for putting out such great videos Ashlynne :)
Just wanted to say that I’m a new subscriber and am absolutely in love with your videos. The information is so helpful and you are just so likeable. Keep going and I hope you continue to become a successful vlogger!
You are looking beautiful as always all of your videos are so well-planned and thought-out you do a wonderful job I wish you great success in 2020 with your channel and everything else
You encouraged me to go through everything in my bathroom. I so far threw out a whole bag of bottles and old products I didn't even realize before I started how many were empty or how many conditioners of the same type I had opened
Ooh, I love the idea of creating white space. The air conditioner in our house broke yesterday and we're waiting on a part to be ordered before it can be fixed. Long story short, all the window are open and I'm enjoying hearing nothing but the birds chirping and feeling the cool breeze. I'm also grateful I'm off from work today to enjoy nature.
Single Tasking is my thing at the moment! I am trying to focus on one thing at a time. It’s really hard because I am used to trying to do 4 things at once. So it’s a process of unlearning and learning again! Love your videos Ashlynn, and your positive vibe! Love from New Zealand!!
This is probably just the grandmother in me , but I kept looking at your bare shoulder and wanted to reach through the screen and pull up your sweater! Lol. Btw I enjoy your videos.
I struggle with paperwork, I have all my bills emailed and do everything I can to keep the paperwork down but I'm still swamped. Do you have any organising tips?
I stretch to just be. Have had a rough couple of years since my divorce but working on that. Just need a few things legally accomplished. I am physically disabled with a hip problem that surgery cannot replace, having dislocated my left hip posteriorally years ago and working desk jobs or in drs offices sitting a lot for over 20 years. The wear and tear caught up with my also after childbirth. This is important because it is relatively common so just thought I'd put it out there: tendons do not always return to their original places after you have a baby. I underwent PT but it did not help.....So now @ 58 I walk with a cane. I love your videos, they make me feel younger. 🎶💜🏝🌷🎶💜🏝🌷
As a European I find it very strange to have one or several credit cards since we normally have debit cards here. why would somebody go into debt to go out for lunch or buy nice clothes?
@@AshlynneEaton yes back then I had 10,000 junk emails and it was a pain in the but but me and my fiance we deleted a lot of them. Now going to the store if they ask for a email I tell them no thank you.
This is the one thing I do not do. I simply send mine to SPAM. I unsubscribed once and I could not sign up again to get coupons for when I do need to use them. When I need a coupon for a necessary I do a quick search in my SPAM. I did that recently for a purchase I needed to make. My inbox looks great now!
I would say all of them are good advice, I’m saying that and I listened to your video while calculating amounts for my tax return... Maybe should I try not to do everything in the same time... :-)

Definitely quality over quantity! I got rid of sold so many bags, and had enough money for one I loved. It is so nice to find the things you love!

You are a truly amazing young lady Ashlynne. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing. :)
Research shows the mind does not multi task. It jumps from task to task to task. That really helped me to slow down !
For sure! That’s huge! 💙

#10. BINGO!!!
As a European I find it very strange to have one or several credit cards since we normally have debit cards here. why would somebody go into debt to go out for lunch or buy nice clothes?
True
Great question! A lot of people trick themselves into going into debt because they get cash back or some other benefit.
I need to do that unscribe to email junk
It makes a huge difference!!
@@AshlynneEaton yes back then I had 10,000 junk emails and it was a pain in the but but me and my fiance we deleted a lot of them. Now going to the store if they ask for a email I tell them no thank you.

Whats your favorite idea?
... mine is being creative
why you are so beautiful !!
Legit question. Hooow do you get rid of your childhood toys and part with stuffed animals?! 😭😭😂😭😭 for real though.
Think of it as allowing another child to enjoy them now (donation/ charities). Like Toy Story 3 and 4.
I would say all of them are good advice, I’m saying that and I listened to your video while calculating amounts for my tax return... Maybe should I try not to do everything in the same time... :-)
Haha that’s great. Good luck on your tax return!
Just turned off all my notifications. Good call!
Love it!!
I did the same a few months ago and it is so liberating. Love it!
Great advice. But one small thing... pack lightly. Not light.
I set my alarm clock 15 minutes, sometimes an hour in advance, I literally just snooze it and roll over
Haha maybe try putting it on the other side of the room to force you to get up?
Thats exactly what I have to do, put it at the other side of the room.
Ditto...
I can't put it on the other side of the room because I'll simply fall asleep while it's going off
I don't mean to be a dick but I found it ironic the 23 simple tips aren't simple
Still was a great list with every tip.
That’s why I also mentioned to use them as inspiration and pick only the ones you most resonate with. Simple living looks different for everyone 💙
