I understand the sentiment, but historically this could just as easily be a Jaguars thing, a Lions thing, a Browns thing. There are a number of cartoonishly incompetent teams. I don't even think the Jets are the goofiest. They're just in New York, so you notice it more.

The space between Lawrence and the rest of the field of QBs in this class is huge. I like Trey Lance the most out of the remaining, but if Lawrence is off the board no QB is worth taking #2
Sam is better than the rest, maybe one of the other guys turns out better but I agree Lawrence is who you want, I would rather trade back if I was the Jets now and get 2 Olinemen
As a jag fan who is convinced we’ll figure out a way to win one more, I agree. I think Fields and Wilson are way overrated. Kyle Trask is the second best pocket passer and it isn’t close. But, he has physical limitations.

2020 Jets season might be the worst season any die heart has ever endured.
This might be the final nail for many of us. After how many years since Broadway Joe they are constantly finding new ways to kick the fans in the chest. Getting Trevor was the solution to the endless cycle of misery. To be so close and have it snatched away is probably the lowest I've ever felt as a fan.

As a Seahawks fan I now have to thank the Jets twice. One for beating the Rams yesterday and vaulting Seattle in to first place in the NFC West. And two, as Eisen mentions, for trading that 6th overall pick that gave Seattle Walter Jones, Seahawks' best Offensive Linemen in its history.
The Jets had their shot with Darnold and blew it. The Jags deserve Lawrence more because the Jets would just destroy his career too.
What you think Jags are gonna do not destroy his career.
The Jags had a free hit at pairing their Super Bowl calibre defense with Watson (Just won a National Title) or Mahomes and drafted Leonard Fournette instead. Jags decided extending Blake Bortles was good idea they don’t deserve a thing.
