Very interesting topic of this podcast. The problem with mental health is that nations and generally modern human civilization is deteriorating or collapsing because of global crisis with huge global public debt with huge economic inequality, and generally human rights such as labour rights are getting degraded. Also many civilians are more individualist and they dont care at all about others people problem's.
Very insightful! Appreciated! Edit: (I speak only from my personal view) With regards to the fact that mental health care is everywhere now and accessible, however peoples mental health is down (and getting worse) - It's the system. Ie: You cannot therapy your way out of poverty, war, unemployment, environmental crises [insert legitimate problem here] We are at the point (worldwide) where the systems of how things are run NEED to change, or no one will be any better. Currently it feels (and looks like) Its every country and man for himself and everyone else can be buggered. We have forgotten that no man is an island. We have forgotten that we are social animals and NEED community, that we succeed by working together not apart. Therapy treats the symptom but not the cause of whats messing us up right now, and whats messing us up needs to be destroyed and changed for the better.
One of the best episodes so far
