- It was a lot of work, but it honestly was a ton of fun and a cheap way to add games to my collection!

A trick I've used for cleaning the dirty pins is rubbing crumpled aluminum foil against it. Aluminum is softer than copper so it only removes the dirt and not the copper.
The black boxes that replaces the Nintendo logo when the game is loaded is an indication that the cartridge is getting power but not all the pins are connected to the handheld most of the time (based on my experience anyway).
This could have been 10 times longer and I still would have enjoyed every minute of it. Glad I found ur channel
I can not believe you actually put that rust bucket into a working boy. I actually feel bad for it. Is there penicillin for Gameboys? 😢 This was a great video and I would love to see more of a similar style. Top marks 🤘
Nice this’ll help me with some my broken games
The super damaged Medabots game is such a cool display piece! It's amazing that the shell is still in such good shape
I’m thinking about getting a mini frame for the board
Very cool as always! Thanks you for showing everything you do. It's because of you that I started modifying, repairing and do stuffs with electronics :D
Using a fiberglass pen on cartridges that only have minor dirt is a terrible suggestion. Using one when you don't know what you're doing with it can strip the solder mask on the cartridge and even damage the contacts themselves. Using one on extreme cases of rust or corrosion makes sense, but for anything else (99% of cases) you're fine with IPA or metal contact cleaner and/or a pink pencil eraser.
Yeah for the most part Jake has some great tutorials and is a good resource for doing mods and repairs, but I hate how he uses a fiberglass pen on everything. It's total overkill.
i saw a trick where they pour hot water on battery terminals in cars to remove corrosion, do you think it may work on game boy games or at least see what happens
Awesome video! It could possibly be a bit more detailed, but otherwise great! Awesome easter egg in the end.
You could try to replace that corroded board, otherwise, nice saving :)
Where do you buy a bunch of broken Gameboy games
I'm glad you are feeling better.
Instant subscribe from the title of this video.
Yep I love this kind of video, thank you :)
Where do you find all the broken gameboy games and consoles? I would like to try to get into repairing these myself. Ebay doesnt seem to have a lot of broken stuff. Or maybe im just missing them.
Great video! Amazing channel btw. Just recently found it 😄 keep up the great work. 👍
IS THAT A NEW HAT
Where do you get those!??
I’d love to test them if you wanna send em my way 👀👀
i remember that video
Oh yeah, well I fixed one game boy game once.
I'll take the broken ones! 😅 Great work man good saves!
To let you know that first game is tilt and tumble
omg that’s my favorite energy drink
CLR? 🤔
Heemm this isn't the first time isn't It!??
I heard you could change the language on japanese games by switching some chip with the english copy.
No idea if that's true
if you swap the chip that has the rom on it yes but that would require a copy of the same game in the language you want
To be fair, since they are no longer being produced, they all are rare. The real question is which ones are valueable.
Yo
How much did you spend
About $200 on the games and about $50 on around 100 of those batteries
cool
