Hey guys! I created an instagram account and facebook page where I'l be uploading pics of projects I'm currently working on! You can find free download link for plans of this chair on my facebook page! I'l be also posting pics of past projects and some I don't film for youtube. So I'd appreciate if you pushed that follow button on instagram and facebook! :D instagram.com/lignum_channel/?hl=en facebook.com/lignumchannel/
The first half of the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.
Very creative. I loved watching that plywood roll out of the jig. I also like the fact that with the right tools, this is a very do-able project. Thanks for sharing.
Btw. As well as your craft (pieces of art and function) your video presentation is world class as well. Most enjoyable of all in my opinion. (yes I have seen a lot...love the music - vrhunski majstor iz nasheg kraja ..zhelim ti sve najbolje)
Just awesome I so want to make a set of these for the whole family , you work and skills are just amazing , iv watched all you vids now and I must say you have the Mac daddy of CNC machines :)
Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed it and glad you like my robots! :D If you decide to make a set of these, I'd suggest using beech plywood instead of birch, much nicer cut and less work with sanding afterwards.. If I'd do it again, that's what I'd change..
When I first saw this I was gonna skip the video because I thought you were gonna just use a CNC and that wouldn't be much of a project. Then I skipped to the middle and saw what you were doing and had to go back and watch it all. Nice job, it gave me a few ideas to play with.
@@lignumchannel it was like.. "wait, there's something" .. rewind .. "hmm, maybe not" .. rewind a bit to continous watching .. "whoaa, there!!" Funny part, there are passages in the vid, where you can see it way better - if you know about it. Maybe it's just because I'm sensitised as I made a clipframe for my sister for xmas, where I had to saw in alternating angles and did a glitch as well :D
That's absolutely amazing! Awesome job and great idea. I can't believe how much that ply wood bent after those channels were cut into it, that was really cool. Congratulations on 40k also 👍🏼
It's crazy, just today I saw one of your buses driving through the street I was walking along and thought: man, I'd love a new video! I come home and... Ta da!
It's a beautiful chair. I'm a little concerned about outward lateral forces if glue is the only resistance you have to that. Any back and forth movement could collapse the frame. Would horizontal cabling in back help with that?
At the 4:47 mark you use a router edge guide with a bearing that allows you to follow rounded edges. Can you please link me to that product or tell me the manufacturer? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thank you! Love your stuff
