To make use of my new wood bending skills, I designed this bench.
I used walnut and ash wood.
My Insperation:
Steam bending wood without using a steambox
• Steam bending wood wit... - Навчання та стиль
That's not woodwork, that's art, that piece should be in an art museum!!
Thanks 💪🏼your comment make me makes me so happy😊
I have been woodworking for 30+ years, and this guy is freakishly good. A cut above the rest (pun intended).
Surely there are easier ways to put curvy lines on your butts, though the bench does look amazing.
Aman to that
Several hundred cuts above. Man that bench is beautiful.
My family and friends think I’m a good woodworker. I hope they never see this video!
Haha 😂
i think you will be a genius👍
LMFAO 😆
😵💫
Someone else could have not shown his audience your initial fail at bending the piece of wood that broke. You not only did, but explained the reason giving an unvaluable knowledge. That's honesty, reason enough for subscribing. Great work.
Thank you very much for your appreciation 🙏
That belongs on display in an art gallery... I could look at it forever! Well done!
I want marry him always wanted to marry a carpenter
Beautiful work and thanks for not including a background music... I find it so much more enjoyable when im able to hear the sound of the woodwork
That little smile at 14:29 is the definition of satisfaction after hard work.
This is a superb bench congrats
He was being smug
It not often you see a truely inspired piece of design and craftsmanship these day. This is a work of functional art. Sublime.
Perfect video with no distracting music. Wish all woodworking videos are like this.
I'm at 12:21. I felt I need to write immediately. I've been watching woodworking videos for a while. It makes me excited and at peace at the same time. I love all the works I see mostly. There are really talented and hard working people, dedicating themselves to their job which also is their love, I really feel fulfilled by witnessing their passion. I subscribed for many channels. And happy with that, because UA-cam is also a big garbage tube, mostly where the people share their fears and anxiety which caused by doing nothing but thinking about themselves. I'm sure there are millions other inspiring videos about art and building. But I admire these woodworking people most, I think. And my friend, you are an artist, may God, or force or universe, whoever available at that time, be always with you. Thank you for your time doing and documenting this. And who ever helps at camera and on the computer, salute! Love from Istanbul.
Your precision cutting and fitting is magnified by the use of the complimentary wood colors. Very talented design work and assembly. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your comfort on your bench and foot stool.
I am Japanese. Use translation.
When I saw the completed chair, I think what beautiful it.When I looked at your happy face, I was happy too.Thank you for showing me something wonderful.
The 1200 thumbs down as of this comment are from people that lack the tallet and skill to build something like this and are jealous of it. Beautiful work.
I can't believe there was even 1 thumb down
Really, people are just evil because this was a true artisan at work here
All I could think of beyond pure meanness was that people are upset he didn't explain any of the process.
It’s not often I say this, but I wish YT had something better than a lousy ‘thumbs up’ button. This project was inspiring and humbling at the same time. Anyone who watches it should understand better why hand-crafted furniture is not cheap. The dedication and detail are incredible. Great job, brother.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for the simple step-by-step video. I easily recreated this using my bare hands, a kettle and some Elmer's school glue.
2800 dislikes are from ikea employees
The 253 people that have this a thumbs down probably still have their Christmas lights hanging on their trailer. Beautiful craftsmanship.
That has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of furniture I have ever seen. Well done!
I am glad there are still some videos on UA-cam worth watching...
I feel sorry for those that give this a thumbs down... you are lost in being able to appreciate art...
How can over 1000 people dislike this? This is exceptional workmanship!!
Beyond their means of comprehension, therefore they dislike. Sad really!
my thoughts as well.
How could you possibly dislike this? People are ridiculous. This is some incredible work if I've ever seen it!
I can only imagine the joy you feel creating this thing. Beautiful job, Sir.
Невероятная точность и аккуратность! Потрясающе!!!
A truly beautiful end result; honestly one of the most organic looking pieces of furniture (or artwork?!) I've ever seen. Your video was really well edited as well, and as if that wasn't enough I learned like three new things (glass as a scraper!) in 17 minutes! You didn't just get me to hit Subscribe, you earned it!
A big thanks 🙏 I appreciate your comment💪
Seriously how could anyone thumbs down this video? Absolutely gorgeous work of art, it was stunning and I was blown away! Such creativity and craftsmanship! You have a gift!
You really have "CREATED" an masterpiece.... 👍👍
You are just an incredible craftsman. Such attention to detail and design. Thanks for sharing your work.
“Tips from a Cabinetmaker”. You are very talented and approached each phase like old Lou ! You should have incorporated your logo in the latticework and each time someone sit on the bench for a period of time they would have been Branded 👍😎
Bahahaha! That would have been awesome and hilarious!
The bench is incredible, but I'm super impressed with his incredibly creative clamp usage!
I'm definitely subscribing... I need to see more!
An utterly staggering piece of work. World-class Sir. But the bit I liked most was you showing the piece of wood splitting when you bent it. So many would have been less courageous and would have edited it out. This shows that we are always learning not matter how skilled we are. Hats off to you and thank you so very much for showing us such a beautiful thing!!!!
The bench went on to have a baby immediately :D
Absolutely beautiful work.
You really enjoyed this one.
Fantastic video. No talking or mad music. Just a really good video and lovely piece of furniture.
Absolutely amazing,... you have a new follower. I love it !!!
The love for your craftsmanship was evident. I enjoyed every minute. Thanks you’re truly blessed.
I don't know if someone taught you or you figured out how to do all of this on your own, but not only are you a master at your craft, you are ridiculously creative. Absolutely brilliant sir.
Супер-мастер, молодца! Всегда приятно смотреть за работой профи, даже если это веники или зубочистки.
the way he kept smiling after he was almost done was so pure sense of achievement and satisfaction was dripping from his face a big thumbs up:)
Bravo ! Ce n’est pas de la menuiserie c’est de la sculpture. Très beau travail et magnifique créativité. Le mélange des différentes essences de bois est parfaite. Continuez à nous faire d’aussi belles réalisations. Petit bonjour de France.
Gorgeous finished product. Appreciate you passing along your grandfathers tips.
Is this FINE work? Are you kidding me, this is SUPER FINE work. And it seems the maker of this beatiful piece likes it too, by the look of his smile. Fantastic work. Cheers.
My admiration....! Reminiscent of a by gone era of master craftsmen that went the way of the dinosaurs. (I didn't know that it still existed in today's world). Such precision and meticulous attention to fine detail...! You handle the "old" hand tools with mastery and blend it with modern mechanized tools with such ease and confidence. I can watch a workmen with such skill all day long and pay for the privilege to do so.
Good video...! Good watch....! Great project! Thank you.
PS. You could name it "Stratovarius" cause its in the same league..! Right up there...!
Seeing a master at work is always so inspiring. Thank you for all your videos. Much appreciated.
That is not furniture. That is a Beautiful piece of functional art.
Wow! Agree with a previous comment....over 900 dislikes??? Must be a technical error in UA-cam, otherwise I can't see how ANYONE could dislike this display of creative craftsmanship. Very impressive work. Thank you for sharing
Serious creativity and craftsmanship!
The tops are beautiful enough to display as art on a wall or door on cabinetry.
As a table, personally, I would have placed glass over it or sealed in epoxy resin.
This would be amazing design style as a dining room table top, dining room chairs, head board, room divider, bifold or sliding panels over glass doors...
Couldn't believe you sat on this piece of artwork, and put your feet up on it - but definately shows how sturdy your work is!
Would love to see a full overview photo of finished work!
Inspired and inspiring.
Thank you.
....WOW... details, details and once more DETAILS. You are true Artisan! Respect!
Skill level over 9000
lol right. this guy should go spend a few years over in japan
Лучший столярный проект за год что я видел . Респект !!!!👍👍👍
To me, this level of skill is just awesome! I’m jealous. Congratulations.
Your precision joining /attention to detail plus flowing one curve through a joint (central vertical in legs table legs) is exquisite.
As an Architect, when dealing with curve transitions, I would ensure that the centres of the arcs were aligned with the point of the transition to creat a smooth transition.
Thank you for the recording. I always wondered how museum pieces are made. Without a doubt a work of art. Again thanks.
So cool to be able to watch a master craftsmen complete a project from start to finish. Well done sir.
Да, парень кайфует от столярного дела. Трудится от чистого сердца и для удовольствия! Молодец, есть чего позаимствовать из арсенала данного мастера. С меня лайк и подписка. Желаю творческих успехов. Так держать!
Your Face when you stood it up said it all. Well done, amazing craftsmanship! It is outstanding!
You are a true craftsman, pleasure to watch. I hope you are passing your skills on, they should never be lost.
Wow! This is a true work of art. Your skills are amazing. I don't even know how I ended up on this video... but I was mesmerized until the end.
This is quite possibly the most beautiful build video I have ever watched. And I have watched a ton. Your obvious talent and experience, combined with patient attention to the tiniest details are just amazing.
What a stunning piece of artwork! This is a perfect design for a table, just covered by glass.
Its absolutely brilliant to see a true craftsman at work.
I can't tell which part is my favorite, it's either at 12:37 when you rub the freshly smoothed wood on your face and smile or at 14:30 when you have the look of complete and utter joy of the part you just finished! Lol! You showed the pride of accomplishing something awesome and you have every reason to have that look! Wonderful!
A BIG thanks !!!!
This kind of stuff reminds me that there was a time when masters had an apprentice, and that apprentice would need to pour everything into his own masterpiece before he was allowed to become a master.
This guy definitely is a master.
Unbelievable thank God there are individuals with so much talent. Thank God for most of our humanity!!!!
Awesome! Inpressed! A curved wood has just opened another universe for me, so thanks a lot!
Beautiful you are a master woodworker 😎
You truly make some beautiful furniture! You are an awesome Craftsman!
The main character of rare , but distinguished designers is : VISION.
Do you just wake up knowing how incredible your skill is or do you just not even realize your better then like literally 99.99% of the population?
WHAT A PIECE OF ART AND DESIGN!!! Excellent !!
Замечательно получилось, прекрасная работа, изумительный подход и знание дела!!!
This guy does nothing less than absolute perfection.
It takes a lot of skill to pull that off.
Why are the no millions of subscribers here? This is insane. Great idea, great work, great video. 10 / 10. Thanks very much for this thing of beauty.
I've been on the internet for 26 years.
... that's the most amazing thing I've seen on the internet.
Thanks, your comment makes me very happy!!!!
Excelentísimo trabajo, felicidades!!
the bench looks absolutely beautiful, but that curved biro was ingenious! what a lifesaver!!
This inspires me and stops me in my tracks, equally. Beautiful.
Just buy the wood at lowes you won't have to worry about bending it with steam they don't have a straight stick in the hole damn store smfh
Lol.. I think they're sponsors of the NHL. ..they provide all the hockey sticks.. Lol
Bahahaha! So true!
Ofcourse I have time to learn but after AC not BC. I mean after Corona not Before Corona. Lol
Даже представить не могу,сколько может стоить такая работа..Это не реально...Это мировой шедевр..Это круче Страдивари...
This is the most beautiful bench I’ve ever seen in my life. Thank you for that
I think I have watched this video before... And even liked it... I cant stop admiring the art work... Am watching again...
I went from watching your wood stove from old wheel hubs thinking "Man this guy's great at metal work!" to seeing this one today - you've blown my mind!
You too?
Haha! Same!
Настоящее творение, искусство .Есть же люди,отличающие труд от работы.
That was AMAZING! Fantastic job.
I came here for inspiration. I'm leaving in awe. Outstanding work my man
No commentary but full of tips I've not seen anywhere else -- also, UA-cam isn't short of people doing impressive things but I have to say that's a cut above. What a result, just beautiful. You should be really proud of that work. Also proof you really can't have enough clamps :-)
Yeah, the curved forms with clamp holes and that monster sanding block are tips to file away for the future.
Beautiful piece of art👍👍
This is not just woodwork. Its ART. very beautiful
Fantastic! Just beautifully crafted and stunning! Thank you for sharing.
Да ты монстр! Так держать! Как ты работаешь - можно смотреть вечно.))
Such a nice piece of art! A true beauty indeed.
Man you are an artist!! Top of the line! Congratulations about your wonderful work of art!
Wow some of the most beautiful carpenters work ever seen, and I saw a lot. I'm not talking about the work piece, it's the way you work. Keep on living your passion!
It is not a bench.
It is an art.
Excellent job ...
Looks beautiful, but the joints bug me something terrible. All that downward force being applied to vertical joints held together by glue. It'll be fine I'm sure. Some wooden dowels on the legs and some of the bigger joints, especially the ends where it wouldn't be visible, wouldn't have gone astray. It would make it a lot stronger than glue alone.
Ahah that satisfied face at 14:30... Well deserved! Thank you very much for that video packed with so many clever techniques, tips and tricks. Impressive craftsmanship and result!
So this is a guy that bends all the wood at home Depot when I try to find something straight
Man ur mad. Saying congratulations is not enough. But I'll congratulate u for your patient to manage to make this piece of art. We're talking for soooo many details and perfect cuts and trimming and sanding to be so perfect. Keep up the good job. Taking my hat off for that. 📏📐🗜️⚒️🇬🇷
Amazing skills and a masterpiece of handcrafted woodwork. The smile at 14:30 is priceless.
You have some seriously amazing woodworking skills!! I picked up woodworking/furniture making a little more than 3 years ago just as a hobby, but find myself diving into it more and more as a passion. From all the stuff I’ve learned out there and honing in my skill set for those few years. I can now appreciate a video such as yours that displays such a high level of skill and years of mastering your craft. I learned a lot from your watching your video, and I just hope that one day I can be remotely close to this level that you demonstrated so effortlessly!! Thank you for sharing and taking the time to post and share your passion with us UA-cam’rs on here! Seriously amazing work!
Thanks brother 🙏🙏
Your skill is inspirational. I REALLY enjoyed that video. Thanks for sharing you work with us.
