Someone else could have not shown his audience your initial fail at bending the piece of wood that broke. You not only did, but explained the reason giving an unvaluable knowledge. That's honesty, reason enough for subscribing. Great work.
It’s not often I say this, but I wish YT had something better than a lousy ‘thumbs up’ button. This project was inspiring and humbling at the same time. Anyone who watches it should understand better why hand-crafted furniture is not cheap. The dedication and detail are incredible. Great job, brother.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Your precision cutting and fitting is magnified by the use of the complimentary wood colors. Very talented design work and assembly. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your comfort on your bench and foot stool.
I'm at 12:21. I felt I need to write immediately. I've been watching woodworking videos for a while. It makes me excited and at peace at the same time. I love all the works I see mostly. There are really talented and hard working people, dedicating themselves to their job which also is their love, I really feel fulfilled by witnessing their passion. I subscribed for many channels. And happy with that, because UA-cam is also a big garbage tube, mostly where the people share their fears and anxiety which caused by doing nothing but thinking about themselves. I'm sure there are millions other inspiring videos about art and building. But I admire these woodworking people most, I think. And my friend, you are an artist, may God, or force or universe, whoever available at that time, be always with you. Thank you for your time doing and documenting this. And who ever helps at camera and on the computer, salute! Love from Istanbul.
I don't know if someone taught you or you figured out how to do all of this on your own, but not only are you a master at your craft, you are ridiculously creative. Absolutely brilliant sir.
I am Japanese. Use translation. When I saw the completed chair, I think what beautiful it.When I looked at your happy face, I was happy too.Thank you for showing me something wonderful.
An utterly staggering piece of work. World-class Sir. But the bit I liked most was you showing the piece of wood splitting when you bent it. So many would have been less courageous and would have edited it out. This shows that we are always learning not matter how skilled we are. Hats off to you and thank you so very much for showing us such a beautiful thing!!!!
Bravo ! Ce n’est pas de la menuiserie c’est de la sculpture. Très beau travail et magnifique créativité. Le mélange des différentes essences de bois est parfaite. Continuez à nous faire d’aussi belles réalisations. Petit bonjour de France.
“Tips from a Cabinetmaker”. You are very talented and approached each phase like old Lou ! You should have incorporated your logo in the latticework and each time someone sit on the bench for a period of time they would have been Branded 👍😎
Your precision joining /attention to detail plus flowing one curve through a joint (central vertical in legs table legs) is exquisite. As an Architect, when dealing with curve transitions, I would ensure that the centres of the arcs were aligned with the point of the transition to creat a smooth transition.
The 1200 thumbs down as of this comment are from people that lack the tallet and skill to build something like this and are jealous of it. Beautiful work.
Да, парень кайфует от столярного дела. Трудится от чистого сердца и для удовольствия! Молодец, есть чего позаимствовать из арсенала данного мастера. С меня лайк и подписка. Желаю творческих успехов. Так держать!
My admiration....! Reminiscent of a by gone era of master craftsmen that went the way of the dinosaurs. (I didn't know that it still existed in today's world). Such precision and meticulous attention to fine detail...! You handle the "old" hand tools with mastery and blend it with modern mechanized tools with such ease and confidence. I can watch a workmen with such skill all day long and pay for the privilege to do so. Good video...! Good watch....! Great project! Thank you. PS. You could name it "Stratovarius" cause its in the same league..! Right up there...!
A truly beautiful end result; honestly one of the most organic looking pieces of furniture (or artwork?!) I've ever seen. Your video was really well edited as well, and as if that wasn't enough I learned like three new things (glass as a scraper!) in 17 minutes! You didn't just get me to hit Subscribe, you earned it!
Wow! Agree with a previous comment....over 900 dislikes??? Must be a technical error in UA-cam, otherwise I can't see how ANYONE could dislike this display of creative craftsmanship. Very impressive work. Thank you for sharing
Beautiful combination of precisely and imprecisely-yet-organically bent wood. I love the Art Nouveau style. This bench belongs in Rivendell in the House of Elrond!
No commentary but full of tips I've not seen anywhere else -- also, UA-cam isn't short of people doing impressive things but I have to say that's a cut above. What a result, just beautiful. You should be really proud of that work. Also proof you really can't have enough clamps :-)
You have some seriously amazing woodworking skills!! I picked up woodworking/furniture making a little more than 3 years ago just as a hobby, but find myself diving into it more and more as a passion. From all the stuff I’ve learned out there and honing in my skill set for those few years. I can now appreciate a video such as yours that displays such a high level of skill and years of mastering your craft. I learned a lot from your watching your video, and I just hope that one day I can be remotely close to this level that you demonstrated so effortlessly!! Thank you for sharing and taking the time to post and share your passion with us UA-cam’rs on here! Seriously amazing work!
For a craftsman to smile like that at the end of a project says everything. Well done it looks brilliant. I will try and make something similar when I clear my work load. Let you know how I get on Thanks.
Man ur mad. Saying congratulations is not enough. But I'll congratulate u for your patient to manage to make this piece of art. We're talking for soooo many details and perfect cuts and trimming and sanding to be so perfect. Keep up the good job. Taking my hat off for that. 📏📐🗜️⚒️🇬🇷
I get annoyed when furniture companies charge like 5000$ bucks for 500$ in wood and 5hrs of shop time just because it's "Solid Oak" or some crap. It's all mass-produced by some computer-controlled manufacturing process and some guy just glues it all together. If I spent $5000 on THIS, though, I'd feel like I got away with it for a steal. This is seriously beautiful, and something that a computer-controlled machine could NEVER make at scale without looking hokey and mass-produced. THIS is true, heirloom-quality woodworking, that, honestly, should find its way into an art exhibit in a museum for a little bit.
Looks beautiful, but the joints bug me something terrible. All that downward force being applied to vertical joints held together by glue. It'll be fine I'm sure. Some wooden dowels on the legs and some of the bigger joints, especially the ends where it wouldn't be visible, wouldn't have gone astray. It would make it a lot stronger than glue alone.
That's not woodwork, that's art, that piece should be in an art museum!!
Thanks 💪🏼your comment make me makes me so happy😊
That belongs on display in an art gallery... I could look at it forever! Well done!
I want marry him always wanted to marry a carpenter
I have been woodworking for 30+ years, and this guy is freakishly good. A cut above the rest (pun intended).
Surely there are easier ways to put curvy lines on your butts, though the bench does look amazing.
Aman to that
Several hundred cuts above. Man that bench is beautiful.

Thank you very much for your appreciation 🙏
Beautiful work and thanks for not including a background music... I find it so much more enjoyable when im able to hear the sound of the woodwork
That has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of furniture I have ever seen. Well done!
Невероятная точность и аккуратность! Потрясающе!!!
I am glad there are still some videos on UA-cam worth watching...

That little smile at 14:29 is the definition of satisfaction after hard work.
This is a superb bench congrats

Thanks for the simple step-by-step video. I easily recreated this using my bare hands, a kettle and some Elmer's school glue.

How could you possibly dislike this? People are ridiculous. This is some incredible work if I've ever seen it!
How can over 1000 people dislike this? This is exceptional workmanship!!
Beyond their means of comprehension, therefore they dislike. Sad really!
my thoughts as well.
It not often you see a truely inspired piece of design and craftsmanship these day. This is a work of functional art. Sublime.
Gorgeous finished product. Appreciate you passing along your grandfathers tips.
I can only imagine the joy you feel creating this thing. Beautiful job, Sir.

I can't believe there was even 1 thumb down
Really, people are just evil because this was a true artisan at work here
All I could think of beyond pure meanness was that people are upset he didn't explain any of the process.

Yeah, the curved forms with clamp holes and that monster sanding block are tips to file away for the future.
I feel sorry for those that give this a thumbs down... you are lost in being able to appreciate art...
A true work of Art - hell-of-a craftsman!
Thank you for the recording. I always wondered how museum pieces are made. Without a doubt a work of art. Again thanks.

Bravo 👏👏👏👏
How can 550 dislikes, dislike this project? If I had the equipment and space, I'd be building one right now
And the skill....don't forget that.
My family and friends think I’m a good woodworker. I hope they never see this video!
