Hello all!!, there's a lot of comments on here so I hope you all understand why I haven't replied to all of them. Try watch all the video before commenting just encase I cover anything you want to ask and also remember to trust the process, be patient and stay rested! sendeing you all soooo much love and light on your healing journey 💕🙏🏼✨
I’m on day 6 && I’m suffering. The worst is sleeping && waking up in the morning. I had to purchase a humidifier due to sleeping with my mouth open. I had both a tonsillectomy && a turbinate reduction at the same time, so I’m really going through it. Some days are a little better than others, but I’m so ready for this process to be over with.
I’m currently on day 7. Day 1 was really the easiest day, just because the pain hadn’t really hit. I spent the day on the couch watching TV and eating ice cream (which soothes the throat but fills it with mucus) as well as sucking on ice cubes. Day 2 was really the same as Day 1, but the pain is worse. By Day 3, the pain is awful, but if you’ve had lots of strep before (which was the reason I had mine removes), it shouldn’t phase you as badly as if you haven’t. Day 4 is definitely the worse, but that’s when things started getting better. Couldn’t swallow anything, had bad breath, it was not fun. However, my tonsil scabs began falling off and healing that day. There was some mild bleeding, but nothing that wasn’t solved by sucking on ice cubes. Day 5-6 were rather uneventful, with the pain steadily getting better. Day 7 has been the best so far, I haven’t needed any pain medications, and I’ve had no problem swallowing liquids. Some tips: Your ears WILL hurt. Don’t worry about it, in my case its been rather mild. Dairy is not fun. It makes more mucus and causes it to be very annoying to swallow. The first few days, your uvula will be very swollen. Don’t talk very much during these first few days. Suck on ice cubes (ice chips). They help, and soothe the throat more than water does. Don’t worry about eating too much, unless you have medicine that requires you to eat or you genuinely feel hungry. Mostly just try to stay hydrated, but STAY AWAY from citrusy foods, like orange juice. You WILL be miserable. There’s no getting around this, but if you stay positive, you will feel better. It does get better. Your mouth will begin smelling awful, and testing awful as well. This lasts for about a week, don’t worry about it. Cold foods help more than hot. What’s helped me is putting some gatorade in the freezer for 20-30 minutes, and than putting it in the fridge until I would like a drink. This makes it so cold, and it feels delightful. When you wake up for the first few days, the pain will be EXCRUCIATING. This is because you haven’t take painkillers for a long while. Chew gum, it helps with the bad breath. Keep a cold drink in your bedroom for if you wake up in the middle of the night. Drinking this, especially if its very cold, will help tremendously. That’s I’ll the tips I’ve learned, good luck with recovery!
@@dr_m1lk-_-r670 I actually was one of the unlucky few who started bleeding (on day 9 i think) and had to go the hospital to cauterise again. Lots of blood during that incident. However, if you’re just talking about ‘regular’ bleeding, I wouldn’t be worried unless it persisted after 20 minutes. The bleeding itself wasn’t that bad, just a lot of water gargling, ice sucking, and standing over the sink.
@@peachybanjo yeah day 1 I had post operative hemorrhage as well I bled 400cc of blood and also had to get re cauterized I’m just afraid when the scabs fall off again it’s gonna do the same thing because I haven’t made it to that part yet
@@peachybanjo currently I’ve had to go in twice for re cauterization today was my second day, the amount of blood and how long I’ve been bleeding is concerning. They keep doing the same thing and hoping it’ll finally heal so I trust them and hope this is really the last time because all this is so traumatizing. The pain is so intolerable because of how much scar tissue has built up from the cauterization. I’m glad you only had it once and recovered. Best of luck
Aww thank you so much I'm so pleased to hear you can relate and it was helpful! I hope your feeling better today, you defiantly have to stay optimistic during otherwise you'll drive yourself insane so good on you! get better soon 🙏🏼
I was THE SAME for day 2!! I felt like I could take on the world hahah. I’m currently on day 13. I was fine with dairy tbh- milk was so soothing to my throat. I ate a lot of ice cream and popsicles haha. I surprisingly had a very good diet throughout my recovery despite it being hard to swallow. The pain meds helped a lot (to eat) I agree with acidic things - STAY AWAY, as it will STING and radiate to your ears. Ice packs helped me a lot as well. Also yes, sleeping at an incline and just staying hydrated will help prevent further issues. Honestly just have a constant water supply by your bed!! By now, I’m over it. Mild throat and ear pain. Now I’m just coughing a lot :/ your video really helped me with being more positive and just remembering that it is temporary. So thank you!
Really wish I saw this video before my operation because it would of made things so much easier ... im currently on day 6 and I feel much better. For anyone that is going to have the tonsillectomy operation DO NOT eat any milk products.
heya this video was my favourite in preparing for my tonsillectomy i even watched this one again when i was on day 5 and desperate for some indication of when i was going to feel even slightly less hellish so thank you for posting this :) might actually do a video on my experience too because watching youtube videos really was the best form of research on what to expect!
Ahh thank you so much Lizzy, I'm so pleased it helped you in your process for recovery 🙏🏼 and i really appreciate your support ✨ I think its a great idea to do your own video on it as everyone has a slightly different experience and their own tips to recovery! Love and light to you 🌞✌🏼
I wish this video was here a year ago when I had my tonsillectomy! I'm the same, after day 3/4 shit got real! Day 5, I was admitted in hosp with heavy bleeding and clots, even the morphine didn't touch the side it just made me feel tired, got home next day and 2 days later the same thing happened so back to hospital with an infection now and the best thing they gave me was hydrogen peroxide to gurgle and a numbing mouthwash! I didn't feel normal until about day 18. 1 year later, gaining infections constantly in my throat and now they are planning to take out my adenoids.. I don't know if I can go through this again. I can't believe how much your experience is so like mine and like I said.. I wish this video was here before! X
Karina Paterson oh my that’s so strange isn’t it because everyone’s has seemed so different! I’m so glad you’ve seen this now though because if you have to go through it again at least you’ve seen it haha! But poor you I can’t believe how many times you had to go back that must have been awful, I think I went to the doctors twice after the surgery. Oh know it’s such a hard thing when you’ve already experienced such pain the first time but at least if you’ve been through it and now you’ve seen this video, if you go through it again, you have more knowledge on how to keep the pain a little at bay, and there’s so much advice in the comment section about what others tried you might get through it a second time so much easier! 🙏🏼 I hope with whatever happens for you, your not in pain x
@@LaurenFleck aww thank you. To be honest I'm terrified, I have had 2 children and would easily go through child birth again than go through the pain of this again, but you're right, I'll know how to deal with the pain better. Hopefully I can keep my adenoids haha taking loads of vitamins and eating well in the hope I don't catch more infections! High 5 to no tonsillitis again anyway😂.
@Jack Johnson Tell your Doctor to perscribe you with Co-codomol. Honestly its a life saver. When I take it, it numbs the pain, I am able to swallow liquids and soft food. It also reduced my fever.
I'm on my fourth day after surgery and can't talk or eat anything! I've also been feeling so nauseous but don't want to throw up. Thanks for making thus video
Hannah Chase I’m glad I can help you hopefully in some way! You sound like you were feeling the same as me! It’s so horrible at the time but it will be so worth it I promise 🙏🏼 x
Thanks for telling me the first 3 days I had a lot hiccups after drinking my medicine. But what I did is eating yogurt (free fat or free lactose because I'm lactose intolerant) and that helps me a lot to control the acid of the medication.
i’m on day 8 and i can easily say days 3-5 were the absolute worst days for me, i had never been in that amount of pain before it was unbearable.. my ears started to feel like a screwdriver was being stabbed and twisted inside them only thing that helped was ice packs... i have a hard time sleeping at night, and i’m not sure if it’s because of the 3+ hour naps i take throughout the day or not but i can’t wait for this whole process to be over
Thank you so much! This video has been extremely helpful!!! I always like to plan ahead in anything in life haha, so naturally I researched the process before my surgery which is on this Wednesday! I have my checklist of all the foods/drinks I can have now ready, I also bought a cool air mist humidifier, and now I wait! Your "like" amazing!! haha thank you!
Best video I have found. So close to my experience. My boyfriend also said he could smell my breath in the whole house, even with my mouth closed. I’m still recovering. Day 8. This is the worst experience I have ever had.
Thanks for making this. I'm having mine done in a few weeks and you have to isolate for 2 weeks before the op now. I've already been isolating for 4 months anyway, funny how when you made this 2 years ago you said it seemed so bad having 3 weeks of work. I usually have 1 week off a year so this has been a marathon for me but I will get through it :-D
I see some people are still watching it and looking for soothing tips. (me too I guess) I'm on day 5 of my tonsillectomy and I've learned some stuff too. The T3 meds I got from the doctor aren't strong enough for me. So I use Advil, extra strength. Take 2 of those and an hour later I can eat and drink anything, but eat slowly and chew it up good. It hurts to swallow, but the sooner you start solids, the sooner you can get better! Take lots of vitamins and protein in shakes, and drink warm Tea . And you can also try and gargle with warm salt water. And sleep upright position on a chair or couch during the night helps me too. And also keep your throat on the outside loaded with unkers or Valor essential oil. It Speeds up the healing too.
defo the best video on youtube about this. currently on day 6/7 after getting them out and everything u have said has been spot on. i hope mine don’t get infected tho haha. I never comment on youtube but It’s been nice to hear someone else feeling the exact same way I do right now and the struggles of this recovery process. i agree the American ones don’t really help us here in the UK when referring to foods etc and it seems some of them seem to have forgotten the pain they went through. cheers for the motivation to power through the next week or so :)
That’s so so kind of your Jamie thank you so much for your lovely words and I’m so glad that this video has been useful for you! Yeah fingers crossed you don’t get an infection, my sister has just recently had tonsillectomy and she was lucky enough to not get an infection 🙏🏼 I hope you heal well thanks so much again x
no problem Lauren. always nice to get some positive feedback . on day day 9 now and finally managing to eat and drink with reduced pain. when is it ok to start drinking do you know? i think i deserve a few after this process 😂 x
I'm on day 5 of recovery at age 43. From my experience, laying down to sleep causes the pain. The more blood that flows to your throat area will produce more swelling and pain. Best thing is to get sleep on a recliner with your head up as much as possible. Stabilize head with pillow. Use ice packs on not only your neck but jaw and face as much as u can. Your face went through trauma as well. It seems like the pain wants to kick in when it's time to sleep but I learned to avoid sleeping with head down and the pain has not returned as hard. It's a catch 22 because u also don't sleep as well but I rather avoid the pain. I learned this the 4th day and applied on 5th day and it works because during the day the pain goes to zero. 3rd day was the worst until I figured out to sleep upright and use ice packs. My uvula swelled to the size of a golf ball but it's a lot better now. By 5th day the swelling was 70% gone and 90% easier to swallow. I think the difficulties are controlled by u. Not sure how day 6-10 will go yet but I think i got it figured out and will continue to apply my advice. I had zero pain day 4 and 5 during the day, but must not let the pain return at night.
And I'm getting by only on smoothies. 1/2 smoothie day 1 and 2. Zero day 3. 1/2 day 4 and 5. Day 5 my appetite is picking up, a sign of healing. For smoothie I used cold water, frozen blue berries with banana and another time frozen mango with banana. I avoided dairy, milk, ice cream because basically anything produces a lot of saliva and saliva seemed to clog airway.
I’m on day 7 and thriving not gonna lie! The *first day* was probably the worst for me because my meds tasted shit, made me feel nauseous, gave me panic attacks, etc, so i stopped taking them about 24 hours after surgery and i felt SO much better. It still hurt obviously but the pain was bearable. *Day 2* also hurt, but if I drank loads of water and took everything very slow. i also slept through most of the day and set alarms to remind me to drink so i wouldn’t wake up 7 hours later dead lmao *Day 3* was okay, still hurt at this point but the stank breath was worse. i also ate soup for the first time, i mean i could get it down but i don’t really like soup so 🤷🏻♀️ *Day 4* was SUCH huge difference because i started eating solid food again. i’m still scared of bleeding so i was on soft foods but i ate so freaking much, Bbq sausages, dragon fruit, eggs, pancakes, etc. Once you start eating you get so much energy and feel so much better!! *Days 5, 6, and now 7* have pretty much been the same. i can eat (which masks the smell of my breath not gonna lie), and it really only hurts to swallow my saliva on occasion. My scabs haven’t fallen off yet but i’m anticipating it so much cos i just wanna be healed and eat some cheez itz 😂 i’m still young though, only 16 and a half, so that’s what i’m blaming my easy recovery on. if you’re young and studying a billion recovery videos before surgery i promise you’ll be okay!! just brush your teeth and gurgle mouthwash or just chew gum 24/7
For me: Very bearable till day 4 Day 5: Tried to clear throat and went little too far, 4-5 blood spits and then it stopped but it started paining. Painkillers will work for just 2-3 hours. Make sure you don't go hard on your throat even if you're feeling better. Today is day 8: Day 6, 7 had been very tough, earaches, headaches. Went to doctor on day 7 and he changed medicines. Now feeling little relieved from pain but still much more than initial days. I feel the pain will continue for 4-5 days more. I just hope it is worth it.
Thanks for telling meeee... I just read everything in here ... in my case I am not feeling pain in order go stop eating, I just feel sore throat and that's it. But I make sure I wash my teeth properly without going to far. Thanks
Thankyou so so so much for this video. It’s nice to get a UK aspect on it with the foods and it feels closer to home :) I am on day 5 and everything you have said I can relate to. It’s so frustrating not being able to eat and drink like normal. It’s soooo painful and the dangly thing from the roof of my mouth is soo swollen which doesn’t help. And my ears....OUCH!!! I too have so much smoothie in the fridge as I didn’t realise how much it would sting. I stocked up as I thought it would be amazing! But no. Ha. I am also very very bored and the painkillers don’t seem to be doing anything. The hospital only sent me home with some paracetamol and my oxygen levels were quite low! But Thankyou for your video, as it’s good to know there is light at the end of the tunnel!!!! Like like like... like yes!! :D x
Hi Lauren, thanks for sharing your experience! I took notes on things to eat/drink that are soothing vs. irritative. My boyfriend is getting this surgery soon and I'm thinking about getting a foster puppy for him while he's staying at home. Do you think you would have enjoyed having a tiny puppy at home for distraction and comfort during the first days of your recovery?
hell no 😂 i have a puppy and just got this done and it's annoying u literally wanna die when u have this surgery 😂😂 u wanna lay there and not be bothered everything hurts
Daniel Barnett no way! That’s mad to find someone who’s had the exact experience as someone else! I’m so glad this video has been helpful for you, I hope you heal well 🙏🏼
Im on day 5 and its bad during the day but god its even worse at night. Im constantly waking up every hour or two from the pain. And the worse part is that i wake up feeling confused and lost because of the medication. One night i even woke up in with my mouth shut closed with tape😅 dont really remember why i did it or when. But im sure it had to do with my mouth feeling dry?.. 😂
Just got mine out on the 18th as well and i honestly just want to kill myself i can’t sleep and the pain.. well it literally feels like they’ve stuck a hot branding iron down my throat fml
@@julialandry2228 I got mine out on december 18th as well. The worst part BY FAR for me personally is the nasty taste in my mouth from the scabs. Other than that its not too bad but im constantly nauseous from the taste.. Its pretty disgusting. Brushing and flossing doesn't help! :( Can't wait for it to be over with and not have any more nasty tonsil stones/bad breath.
Thanks so much for posting this, girl! Very informative. I'm actually getting surgery soon, too. I am wondering if you could explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that FREAKS me OUT!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!
I am so sorry to have replied so late i have only just found you comment that was in a spam folder for some reason! I hope your operation went okay if you have had it already and everything wasn't to painful for you! if you haven't yet when i was put to sleep, all i can remember was falling asleep and then i woke up and the operation was done! i couldn't remember a thing which i think was amazing!! 🙏🏼
I’m still goin through I’m on day 5 and can eat and drink pretty good but can’t talk! Btw dairy (milkshakes, ice cream) is the worst things to eat for me idk about you however
My 3 year old had his Tonsils and Adenoids removed on 7/31/18. 4 days later, his breath smells like death and still smells after 10 days. How many days till the tonsil fully heal so I can breath fresh air again?
Fay sorry it’s such a late reply from me! Oh know I hope his breath cleared up! I was unfortunately one of the ones who had a horrible smelling breath when I had mine taken out and I think the smell lasted around a week and a half roughly but I guess it’s different for us all, it’s a horrific smell so I feel for you 🙈 I hope he’s feeling all better now!
I’m on day 4 I’ve been talking since I got out of surgery surprisingly I never lost my voice. This pain is horrible though I just can’t wait for it to be two weeks already but I’ve been having scrambled eggs ever since (literally the best thing I’ve had during this process so far because it gives me a bit of protein and fills me up) Jell-O, pudding, popsicles, and broth and yesterday I pushed through noodles so I think it’s been going well so far. Also a humidifier is great too I got a big one and it’s been making my nights a little bit more tolerable.
Fair play it sounds like you got the right foods good thats great advice for all the others on here! scrambled eggs sound spot on, unfortunately i can't eat eggs otherwise that would have been my diet the whole time haha!! i hope your all better and healed now 🙏🏼
Life of Lauren Life of Lauren Life of Lauren ya I’m 24 days post op now and I feel completely back to normal. I actually started feeling better by day 6 which I was surprised about to be honest granted I did bleed a little on the night of day 6, but that was probably from a scab falling off. Now day 24 I can eat anything again including spicy stuff which is nice.
DiamondLit InTheSky it’s so lush when your finally feeling yourself again isn’t it! I realised how much I took eating for granted Haha! 🙈 glad your feeling better 🙏🏼
I'm on day 2 the only thing that i could swallow is icecream, can't even swallow water nor my mucus, and the pain is out of this world... guys what food/tips did work for you I'm struggling...
Poor you 👎🏼 I feel your pain trust me! So Ice cream would definitely soothe your throat but it would worsen the mucus in your throat which could make it much harder to swallow your own spit basically so I would suggest maybe trying ice lolly’s? Also someone commented on here that they ate mash potatoes and mac & cheese! Noodles worked for me as well, I will be completely honest though day two is hard and I barely ate anything on day two! It’s crazy becuase I drove myself a little mad with hunger because I couldn’t eat hardly anything yet I was watching videos on UA-cam of people baking and it was so upsetting 😂 Just try keep positive and eat the smallest bites of food, smallest sips of water as well just take it easy! Also get some ice packs on your neck that helped me sooo much I slept with my pillow propped up and ice packs covering my neck! I hope that helps 🙏🏼
Keep pushing. The first few days are the worst! Drink plenty of water, prop yourself up on a few pillows, and don't eat dairy as it creates extra mucus in the back of your throat which is hard to swallow. I opted for popsicles, applesauce, ice cold water, water ice, and non-dairy ice cream. Good luck with recovery, it will be over before you know it 😀
I know it’s the most awful feeling don’t worry though just trust the process and it will be 100% worth it in the long run I promise! Get ice packs on your neck and rest 🙏🏼
I just had my tonsilectomy and am on Day 3. Struggling so bad today! The tomato soup stung the back on the throat because of the acidity. I read to avoid tomatoes or tomato sauce.. 2 minute noodles have been great and also cold chamomile tea (so over water at this point). How did you go on Day 8/9? Hoping I'm okay by then as I have work! Thanks for the video
I’m on day 6 right now. Worst agonising pain I’ve ever felt....Ever....I’ve had laser treatment to remove cancer on the base of my tongue and they removed my tonsils at the same time. Hardest thing I’ve ever gone through.
I’m day 7 today and the pain is excruciating! The pain keeps getting worse and I’ve been looking at the clock waiting to take my pain meds. Dairy is the worst, lots of phlegm builds up at the back of the throat and it’s gross. My tonsils were 3 times the size of a normal tonsil so the surface area of where they were removed is much larger which means more pain.
I'm back 1 week after to give a quick update. These videos helped me a lot so hopefully, my advise will help someone as well. Its been a week and I feel like I'm born again. One day you just wake up and you're no longer in hell anymore you're at home. That was day 7 for me...I was able to eat normal foods again and drink water in normal gulps. The key is to stay religious with your painkiller schedule. I'm not a doctor or Pharmacist, so only use this as a guide when you are really really really in too much pain. I alternated between paracetamol 500mg 2 pills and Ibuprofen 1 pill every two hours. So a day would look like this, 08:00 - 2x paracetamol 500mg 10:00 - 1x Ibuprofen 400mg 12:00 - 2x paracetamol 500mg ... etc. Boil packet ramen noodle soup. Wait for it too cool and eat that. It was the only thing that went down for me. Hope you have a speedy recovery!
I'm on day 3 going into day 4. I've eaten mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and chicken noodle soup. NO citrus seems to be tolerable. I'll try the cucumber wate as it sounds refreshing. I think the softer and smaller the foods are, the easier they'll be to go down. I'm going for pancakes on day 6, wish me luck! 😊
@@Karina-hc9nl thanks. I am on day 7 post-op. Definitely getting better, but still not 100%. I have the mouthwash from prior dental work I had done. I may use it at night, but the downside is you can't drink/eat for at least 30 minutes after using it, and with my throat being sore, I need water! Lol. Thanks for the tip either way, I'll give it a whirl. 😁
Nic G I wish I thought of mash potatoes because I loveee them, What a great idea and Mac and cheese! Thanks for sharing that on here so it helps all the others struggling 🙏🏼 I hope your feeling better now!
Karina Paterson that’s a great idea! Did you manage to gargle it okay at the back of your throat? Sounds like the anti bacterial in it should help heal!
@@LaurenFleck yes mac and cheese, mash potatoes, pudding, apple sauce, etc. were life savers the first week! I did gargle with the mouthwash and it was OKAY at best. My throat is still sore, but I am eating fairly solid foods right now such as steak, pasta, rice, chicken, bread, and fish. It does hurt going down but is bearable. I have not bled once though, thank God! I plan to drink water and listen to my body at this point. Going to the gym tomorrow after a week and a half away. I'm going to keep it light and go from there.
I’m on day 9, and my ears are KILLING me. I haven’t had an appetite for more than applesauce, popsicles and soup. I’m starting to wonder if I have an infection too based off what you said about the feeling you had prior to finding out you had an infection.
On day 5 right now and in the most pain I’ve ever felt. I haven’t eaten since yesterday morning. I’m starting to get dehydrated but it hurts to breathe. I’ve started getting a rash on my joints. I want to cry but it hurts to cry.
I just had a lingual tonsillectomy on December 2, 2021. Honestly, the smell is enough to knock you down. It literally smells like something is rotting in the back of your throat.
I’m on day 7 and my right tonsil wound feels soooooo bad. It feels like it’s being cut open and it makes my right ear hurt. I lost 6 lbs and I’m not proud of that. I’m so hungry and I get so nauseous cause of it. I struggle to eat..I just feel very very alone. I miss food and I just wish my right wound felt normal like my left wound does!!!! 😭😭😭
Hi Lauren .. why did u go for tonsillectomy? I’m 43 n hv tonsil stones for past 2years..I’m undecided on having a tonsillectomy because I don’t know if I’ll open a can of worms.. cud u plz share the mode of your surgery
Hi love, I chose to have it due to tonsil stones that would get stuck sometimes and feel really uncomfortable and smell horrific! wasn't present, its a horrible process but it was so worth it!! 🤍 i hope that helps ✨
Im 17 years old and I'm on day 6 and i have not eaten anything at all because i can't. I was only prescribed paracetamol and ibruphren and its killing so much. also i have been spitting up blood everyday what should i do ?? Milly.
I’m on day 6 and I managed to have soup with one slice of toast today! Day 5 and this morning were the worst for me definitely, not able to swallow, couldn’t sleep, etc. However, a piece of advice I would give is to ask for Codeine! I was given 30mg Codeine Phosphate to go home with and had to take 2 (so 60mg) every 4 - 6 hours and this has been a life saver! I’ve been talking with little pain the whole time and my sleep was good for the first 4 days. Also, I took 2 paracetamol and 2 Ibuprofen whenever I would take the Codeine so don’t be afraid to double up on the types of painkillers! Just don’t take aspirin with ibuprofen as it can cause bleeding pretty easily. Ibuprofen is great for swelling too as it’s anti inflammatory! I lived on bowls of Luke warm instant mash with gravy for the first couple of days which was easy to eat, also Rocket Lollies are great too! I’m also drinking 2 litres of water a day to keep my throat soft and supple. I’ve reduced my Codeine to 30mg each time now because my pain has reduced significantly today. Tomorrow is day 7 and I’m hoping for even better results then!
Would you say your voice changed ?? I sing and I’m so worried because I need them out because tonsillitis effects my singing but then I heard getting tonsils removed can change your voice !!!
I am not sure I'm afraid, at the time i spoke very different due to me not being able to breathe but then eventually my speech went back to normal! not sure about singing though sorry! i hope you healed well 🙏🏼
I'm on day 22 and I'm still swollen and I still can't eat solid food so I'm still doing a liquid diet so yeah. I'm now having scabs falling off after my ENT gave me the medicine that the hospital forgot to give me and boy was my ENT mad at the hospital for not giving me my medicine and I can't wait for it to be over.
Tried smash (instant mash), bad decision. I think it has too much salt content. Warm black tea and lightly buttered toast worked well. Dipped toast in the tea.
I'm actually on night 5 and it's starting to feel a lot better! I don't know if it's because I put an ice pack and fell asleep with it on my throat for an hour but my throat feels so much better it hardly hurts when I swallow and that's it. Did it take y'all that fast to where it stopped hurting? I'm trying to figure out if maybe the ice pack worked a ton and if I should start telling ppl to use ice packs.
Day 8 today. Day 6 and 7 were bad. Up to day 5 uncomfortable but pain was tolerable. Ice packs really helped. Now I feel something is stuck at the back of my throat. I can’t spit it I can’t swallow and it feels like annoying tonsils. I took only antibiotics and pain killer twice, one yesterday and one day before yesterday. Pain medicine didn’t work so I didn’t use them. But I was able to sleep at night everyday. Today I felt better and was able to eat again. Pain is still there but somehow able to deal with it.
My uvula was back to normal in about day 6. It didn’t hurt anymore. Today it’s much better. I gargled my mouth very well and all the food that was stuck in mouth came out. It was really some pieces of food stuck in the scabs.
No bleeding no drama. My recovery was really nice. I think I started eating foods really fast. I was eating wantan dumplings in soup around day 4. I think that’s why some food got stuck in my throat. Yesterday and today I ate broccoli and it really worked. My throat is a lot better now. Yesterday and today I went to pick up my daughter from her school on foot. On day 7, I went to hospital for a follow up on foot. I think everybody’s experience is different. I am 32 year old woman. I was really anxious when I saw all of these videos before surgery. I’m sorry that some people had a terrible experience but for me it was not too bad. If anybody is going through the procedure, please relax and have someone who can take care of you after surgery. Good luck!
L S great to hear! I’m on day 7 right now. I’ve had trouble eating yet to this day ): still get ear pain. And yesterday had to go back to the er to get put asleep again so my doctor could fix some bleeding on my right side ): hopefully I will get better soon.
I'm on day 2... couldn't really get anything down today. Had to really force myself to drink. When I can eat it's really just warm broth. Day 1 was the easiest for me to eat but we'll see how it goes. Apple juice seems to be going well for me
Day 2 and I’m literally dying..... couldn’t talk on day 1 and I can’t talk today..... I threw up and my throat started bleeding..... and now I’m in so much pain
I’m 21 and I just got it done yesterday. I woke up with no pain. 6 hrs later I have slight pain only when I try to swallow. My advice to everyone is drink water as much as you can, buy baby food, take the medication and watch movies . Also what really helps is keep your room warm or buy a humidifier or take hot baths ❤️. Don’t be in a rush to eat .
Hello guys.. I just want to make sure everything is okay with me. It is my day 5 and I just feel sore throat a little bit more annoying than having flu... but overall I do not feel pain in order to stop eating. Usually I eat soups with little pieces of chicken. But I can eat gelatin, baby food, ice cream, popsicles, shakes (cocomilk) I'm lactose intolerant. All my food is soft and liquid including my medication is liquid as well. But I am not hungry at all I just like to eat. What I want to ask is .... is that true 7 to 10 days are the worst??? I'm scared to stop eating and have a lot of pain :'( please help me to prepare mentally and physically strong!!! 😓
day 6 and i’m dying 😭 i can’t eat or drink. i haven’t slept since the night before the surgery. i can’t sleep because if i wake up then i’m in so much pain because not be able to swallow :( i can’t eat dairy or anything so i haven’t eaten in 6 days & only drinking a little water
i'm only on day 2 and already had to go to the ER because i kept throwing up and i couldn't keep my pain meds or fluids down so i had to get iv fluids and nausea medicine in my IV and then they gave me fluid pain medicine so i could take that instead of pills since it was too hard for me. it's later in the day now and i'm feeling better but i am so hungry but scared to eat
@Speaking Truth I wasn't really able to eat normally because I still had some granulation tissue in my throat. I'm a type 1 diabetic so healing tends to be a bit slower for me. I've finally started to incorporate new foods back into my diet so I'm less miserable. I'm definitely feeling much better!
First day 😢, haven't been able to eat anything. I am applying ice to my neck and trying to at least keep cold water in my mouth for moments maybe I'll be able to eat tomorrow. Can't even swallow my own saliva 😭😭
Your Very lucky you can eat 🙏🏼 it’s so weird when your voice changes isn’t it but it will come back, you can hear my voice is different when I’m going through the foods! I hope you get been soon 🙏🏼
I've had adenotonsillectomy and today is the night of Day 6. Last two days were the worst day of my life... the pain is extreme and many times I tell myself I regret doing this op. I am so hungry and yet I cant eat much... have been eating porridge and cereal and soup at room temperature. The pain is unbearable at night and I just pop painkillers in order to sleep...
I'm on day 6 and the pain is so bad and I have had nothing to eat it is the worst pain ever and I have an infection in the back in my throat right now it is horrible !!!!!! I'm on penicillin this numing spray and antibiotics and parositom !!!!!!!
it's my 7th day after my tonsillectomy and for days now, drinking any type of tempered water stings my throat! anyone having the same feeling and p.s i was given no pain killers after i was released, only some medication for healing etc.
Hey Chris! Did you ever experience severe pain? I’m on day two and doing good so far. Not even close to as painful as ppl made it sound but I’m concerned thats because it’s only day two haha
I’m on day 5 right now. Honestly wish I never took my tonsils out. First 2 days weren’t that bad, I could eat. Unfortunately, the pain killers my doctor gave me were making me nauseas and was physically sick from day 2-4. Ended up not taking pain killers, the pain is so bad, can’t eat, can’t drink. The worst for me is the ear pain and the nausea. Ice pack is my best friend right now. Tomorrow is day 6, hoping i’m not in too much pain 😬
L S it really depends on how you body works when you start to feel like stuff is stuck in your throat that’s the scaps and I was better by the 10-12 day🙂 feel better😉😊
My experience has felt very much like tonsillitis. Which I am very used to so a lot of the time I haven’t been overly bothered by the pain. However, I did have a ruptured appendix a couple of years ago and had an abdominal drain fitted for 4 days after having abdominal surgery which was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced in my life! Therefore, this tonsillectomy has been a walk in the park for me! My biggest tips are 2x sugar coated (smooth round pills that just slip down the throat at light speed!) ibuprofen tablets EVERY 4 hours and at least a 2 litre bottle of water a day. Please trust me, the ibuprofen stops swelling and inflammation which there is a LOT of during the recover and is what causes most of the pain you experience. Keep your throat wet 24/7 and you’ll be fine. Also, co codamol or paracetamol+Codeine every 4 hours! Good luck guys, we got this
Hi Josh! So do you think it is safe to take ibuprofen even tho they say it can cause bleeding? Getting mine out in less than a week and ibuprofen usually helps me. I take 800 mg every 8 hours when I’m in pain normally.
@@missdowling225 I’d never take more than 2 at a time because of stomach bleeding and damage to intestines and stuff as it can cause harm in higher doses. It thins the blood a bit so it may increase the risk of bleeding I guess, but as long as it’s been cortorised I shouldn’t think there would be an issue. I’m not a doctor though so don’t take my opinion as fact, but my experience was a lot better with ibuprofen
@@joshua1957 thank you for letting me know! Do you know what kind you had? My doc said he is doing the coblation method for me and I didn’t know if you had that as well! Thank you!
@@missdowling225 Pretty sure it’s the same I had! They burn away the tonsils with a stick basically meaning you just have burns in your throat. It’s not as bad feeling as it sounds! I could barely feel it when I woke up, the pain does get worse and lasts around 9 days but Ice poles are great remedies! Tbh ibuprofen is ibuprofen. I just used the standard 50p packs from Sainsburys which were like 200mg each I think? I was 250lbs and 6’5 and that was plenty for me so 2 tablets, every 4 hours should be fine for you! Just don’t take more than 8 in 24 hours :)
Hello all!!, there's a lot of comments on here so I hope you all understand why I haven't replied to all of them. Try watch all the video before commenting just encase I cover anything you want to ask and also remember to trust the process, be patient and stay rested! sendeing you all soooo much love and light on your healing journey 💕🙏🏼✨
day 14: I feel perfectly normal, IT DOES GET BETTER YALL
Some tips:
Your ears WILL hurt.
I hope you've healed well 🙏🏼
Hey how bad was your bleeding when the scabs were falling off?
This is super helpful, I'm on day 5 and I'm getting a bit better and feeling more optimistic. This was so relatable!
Day 4 : worst decision of my life to do tonsillectomy. Hope it will be fine in days
i’m on day 4, about to be day 5 bc it’s currently 11:45pm. i cannot stop thinking about mac n cheese lmao. i think i might make it and see how it goes
i’m on day 3. i want pancakes so bad 😂😂 swallowing is literally the worst.
sis i want pizza :(
I want Wendy’s
😂 foreal where were these cravings before?😄
Really wish I saw this video before my operation because it would of made things so much easier ... im currently on day 6 and I feel much better. For anyone that is going to have the tonsillectomy operation DO NOT eat any milk products.
I don’t have any problem with milk products it’s the only thing I can eat!
heya this video was my favourite in preparing for my tonsillectomy i even watched this one again when i was on day 5 and desperate for some indication of when i was going to feel even slightly less hellish so thank you for posting this :) might actually do a video on my experience too because watching youtube videos really was the best form of research on what to expect!
Karina hello how did you know you had infection? I’m day 5 post op.
Karina what do you meat more infections?
Great tips Lauren. I know how you suffered and I hope your tips help others heal quicker xxxx
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm on day 3 and I'm in great pain, not looking foward to day 5 or 6.
With my hydrocodone I actually diluted mine with water so it didn't burn so much when I drank it.
Lex Saldana thought I was the only one! It burns so bad going down! I’m on day 6
Thanks for telling me the first 3 days I had a lot hiccups after drinking my medicine. But what I did is eating yogurt (free fat or free lactose because I'm lactose intolerant) and that helps me a lot to control the acid of the medication.
i’m on day 8 and i can easily say days 3-5 were the absolute worst days for me, i had never been in that amount of pain before it was unbearable.. my ears started to feel like a screwdriver was being stabbed and twisted inside them only thing that helped was ice packs... i have a hard time sleeping at night, and i’m not sure if it’s because of the 3+ hour naps i take throughout the day or not but i can’t wait for this whole process to be over
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
Thank you so much! This video has been extremely helpful!!! I always like to plan ahead in anything in life haha, so naturally I researched the process before my surgery which is on this Wednesday! I have my checklist of all the foods/drinks I can have now ready, I also bought a cool air mist humidifier, and now I wait! Your "like" amazing!! haha thank you!
Best video I have found. So close to my experience. My boyfriend also said he could smell my breath in the whole house, even with my mouth closed. I’m still recovering. Day 8. This is the worst experience I have ever had.
i hope you healed well 🤍
Thanks for making this. I'm having mine done in a few weeks and you have to isolate for 2 weeks before the op now. I've already been isolating for 4 months anyway, funny how when you made this 2 years ago you said it seemed so bad having 3 weeks of work. I usually have 1 week off a year so this has been a marathon for me but I will get through it :-D
turrican1900 do you have Facebook or Instagram. I'm having to get mine done soon too.
I hope you've healed well 🙏🏼
I see some people are still watching it and looking for soothing tips.
@@andrewbrooks1355 😅 grammer mistake. Can't believe it took 3 years for someone to notice. Thanks!
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
defo the best video on youtube about this. currently on day 6/7 after getting them out and everything u have said has been spot on. i hope mine don’t get infected tho haha.
Thank you 🙏🏼, Day 9 and your video comfort me, the lava part OMG I like how you describe it, TRUE ☹️
Another thing that causes pain during recovery is talking. Don't talk at all.
I had zero bleeding. But I also avoided any solid food.
thank you for all your tips 🙏🏼 i hope you healed up well 🤍
I’m on day 7 and thriving not gonna lie! The *first day* was probably the worst for me because my meds tasted shit, made me feel nauseous, gave me panic attacks, etc, so i stopped taking them about 24 hours after surgery and i felt SO much better. It still hurt obviously but the pain was bearable.
*Day 2* also hurt, but if I drank loads of water and took everything very slow. i also slept through most of the day and set alarms to remind me to drink so i wouldn’t wake up 7 hours later dead lmao
*Day 3* was okay, still hurt at this point but the stank breath was worse. i also ate soup for the first time, i mean i could get it down but i don’t really like soup so 🤷🏻♀️
*Day 4* was SUCH huge difference because i started eating solid food again. i’m still scared of bleeding so i was on soft foods but i ate so freaking much, Bbq sausages, dragon fruit, eggs, pancakes, etc. Once you start eating you get so much energy and feel so much better!!
*Days 5, 6, and now 7* have pretty much been the same. i can eat (which masks the smell of my breath not gonna lie), and it really only hurts to swallow my saliva on occasion. My scabs haven’t fallen off yet but i’m anticipating it so much cos i just wanna be healed and eat some cheez itz 😂
i’m still young though, only 16 and a half, so that’s what i’m blaming my easy recovery on. if you’re young and studying a billion recovery videos before surgery i promise you’ll be okay!! just brush your teeth and gurgle mouthwash or just chew gum 24/7
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
For me: Very bearable till day 4
Day 5: Tried to clear throat and went little too far, 4-5 blood spits and then it stopped but it started paining.
Thanks
Arpit Kadyan was it worth it?
@@nybombay3378 yes it is. Your throat may get sore even after the surgery, but you wont need antibiotics or paracetamols. It will be very mild.
@@misterc3303 Try using cold pack on your ear and chew chewing gums.
Day 7 and my tummy is hurting from hunger 😭😭😭
The hunger is seriously worse than the pain:(
Thankyou so so so much for this video.
Yo literally so weird, legit like everything you went through is the exact same as me at the same times as well. So relatable. Love this vid
Daniel Barnett no way! That’s mad to find someone who’s had the exact experience as someone else! I’m so glad this video has been helpful for you, I hope you heal well 🙏🏼
On day 4. I'm 17. Pain is very bad but getting used to it. My biggest problem is sleep because i can't swallow my saliva because of swelling :(

HappyWheelsGamer what was your worst day like when was the pain at its worst
baby bat sklopay Day 4 i think. Good luck

Lmao. That was hilarious!! I was thinking of doing that! I'm literally lmao rn 😂😂
Thank you so much for making this video it really helps. Day 4 here.. got mine taken out December 18th 2019
Getting mine out in less than 2 weeks (Dec. 23rd).. I know I’ll hate the pain but I can’t wait to get these things out.

Michelle if it helps any, I’m in the boat, plus my boyfriend of two and a half years broke up with me on the 20th, crying hurts like hell
@@julialandry2228 I got mine out on december 18th as well. The worst part BY FAR for me personally is the nasty taste in my mouth from the scabs. Other than that its not too bad but im constantly nauseous from the taste.. Its pretty disgusting.
Btw dairy (milkshakes, ice cream) is the worst things to eat for me idk about you however
HQstudios dairy hurts for me too, im basically living off of Jello, apple sauce and ice chips lol
Jelly defiantly sounds like a good shout! i hope your feeling better now 🙏🏼
Life of Lauren haha thank you so much likewise to you!!👍🏽👍🏽
My 3 year old had his Tonsils and Adenoids removed on 7/31/18. 4 days later, his breath smells like death and still smells after 10 days.
Life of Lauren I’m on day six today
It’s crazy becuase I drove myself a little mad with hunger because I couldn’t eat hardly anything yet I was watching videos on UA-cam of people baking and it was so upsetting 😂
Just try keep positive and eat the smallest bites of food, smallest sips of water as well just take it easy!
Good luck with recovery, it will be over before you know it 😀
Covering my neck with icepacks helped a lot, and the pain has started to calm down just a tiny bit, I'm feeling better thanks guys
Day 10 fell much better. My still not fully healed. How long will take to be fully healed? Thanks x
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
I'm on day 3.. i wanna die :'(
I know it’s the most awful feeling don’t worry though just trust the process and it will be 100% worth it in the long run I promise! Get ice packs on your neck and rest 🙏🏼
Thank you! I'm on day 9 its soooo much better now.. still a bit painful sometimes but as if its just a soar throat so its tolerable!
Im on day 4 without any medications idk what to do
Hope its better now.. as she said trust the process! it gets better x
baby bat sklopay I hope you got some medicine in the end I don’t know what I would have done without mine! And I hope your feeling better now 🙏🏼
I just had my tonsilectomy and am on Day 3.
Is tonsillectomy has long term side effects??
I’m day 7 today and the pain is excruciating! The pain keeps getting worse and I’ve been looking at the clock waiting to take my pain meds. Dairy is the worst, lots of phlegm builds up at the back of the throat and it’s gross. My tonsils were 3 times the size of a normal tonsil so the surface area of where they were removed is much larger which means more pain.
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
Just had my tonsillectomy done. On day 1 now wish me luck 😩
So a day would look like this,
08:00 - 2x paracetamol 500mg
10:00 - 1x Ibuprofen 400mg
12:00 - 2x paracetamol 500mg
... etc.
Boil packet ramen noodle soup. Wait for it too cool and eat that. It was the only thing that went down for me.
Hope you have a speedy recovery!
Thanks for the advice! Getting my tonsils out next Wednesday so I’m pretty nervous
Good luck! Numbing mouthwash was a dream for pain for me. Hope you feel better soon!
I'm on day 3. The mornings are the worst, as the meds wear off over night. I'm able to talk and everything though, so It's going pretty well for me :)
yes i found the same, morning and night was painful! kept waking in the night having to take more painkillers! glad your all better now 🙏🏼
I’m on day 9, and my ears are KILLING me. I haven’t had an appetite for more than applesauce, popsicles and soup. I’m starting to wonder if I have an infection too based off what you said about the feeling you had prior to finding out you had an infection.
I hope you have healed well lovely, your cravings did make me giggle! love and light to you ✨
Hello. Now, after some years, do you feel your imune sistem is weaken without tonsils?
Not at all lovely! ☺️
How many days did it take for you to eat like Normal/hot stuff like chips if on day 5 and I can’t eat anything but ice
everyones really different but for me i think it was about 7-8 days in but not much at all ✌🏼
On day 5 right now and in the most pain I’ve ever felt. I haven’t eaten since yesterday morning. I’m starting to get dehydrated but it hurts to breathe. I’ve started getting a rash on my joints. I want to cry but it hurts to cry.
I hope you've healed well 🙏🏼
I just had a lingual tonsillectomy on December 2, 2021. Honestly, the smell is enough to knock you down. It literally smells like something is rotting in the back of your throat.
i hope you healed up well 🤍
I'm on my day 8, the worst thing is that at night I can barely sleep for 2-3 hours without waking up because of pain
i hope you healed up well lovely 🤍✨
Day 3,in agony thanks your video was very helpful.
I hope your feeling much better now 🙏🏼
Hi Lauren .. why did u go for tonsillectomy?
Milly.
Omg i always get checked every 25 days by doctor.if not always go tip nearest e.r
Thanks for the video Lauren 🙏🏻
When can I eat like a burger after a tonsillectomy? And like normal hard crunchy spicy food? 😭
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
@@LaurenFleck I ate so much afterwards I gained 10 kilos. 😂
Superfan98 now that a couple of weeks have passed, how are you feeling as of now because I’m currently on day 8 and I still can’t eat or drink.
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
Would you say your voice changed ?? I sing and I’m so worried because I need them out because tonsillitis effects my singing but then I heard getting tonsils removed can change your voice !!!
I am not sure I'm afraid, at the time i spoke very different due to me not being able to breathe but then eventually my speech went back to normal! not sure about singing though sorry! i hope you healed well 🙏🏼
hello m going for it.. any effect on immuniti
Like, I really like this liking video. I am on day 5 currently and I am feeling better. How long did it take for your scabs to fall off?
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
Can you recommend any food or drinks to get rid of the mucus.
If you find out anything, let me know! Getting mine out in a week
I'm on day 22 and I'm still swollen and I still can't eat solid food so I'm still doing a liquid diet so yeah. I'm now having scabs falling off after my ENT gave me the medicine that the hospital forgot to give me and boy was my ENT mad at the hospital for not giving me my medicine and I can't wait for it to be over.
i hope you healed well 🤍
Tried smash (instant mash), bad decision. I think it has too much salt content. Warm black tea and lightly buttered toast worked well. Dipped toast in the tea.
great tips thank you 🙏🏼 and toast dipped in tea is so bizarre but i love the idea because the combination is a total classic ✌🏼😁
@@LaurenFleck yip, it is weird but its yummy 😋
it’s day 6 and i’m dying. everything hurts. 😪
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
Day 8 today. Day 6 and 7 were bad. Up to day 5 uncomfortable but pain was tolerable. Ice packs really helped. Now I feel something is stuck at the back of my throat. I can’t spit it I can’t swallow and it feels like annoying tonsils. I took only antibiotics and pain killer twice, one yesterday and one day before yesterday. Pain medicine didn’t work so I didn’t use them. But I was able to sleep at night everyday. Today I felt better and was able to eat again. Pain is still there but somehow able to deal with it.
L S that thing in your throat you are feeling is your uvela bro it’s swells
Kiwi8 I pray for your speedy recovery
I'm on day 2... couldn't really get anything down today. Had to really force myself to drink. When I can eat it's really just warm broth. Day 1 was the easiest for me to eat but we'll see how it goes. Apple juice seems to be going well for me
I hope you've healed well 🙏🏼
Worst pain ever, I feel like I'm dying, officially on day 5. Thank you for the video!
I hope your all well now and glad the video helped 🙏🏼
I’m on day 3. Thanks for great video.
My pleasure ☺️
The pains not bad for me but I’m just super depressed. It’s Christmas in 2 days and I’m not myself.
Do they give you pain medication "not talking about ibuprofen"??
Day 2 and I’m literally dying..... couldn’t talk on day 1 and I can’t talk today..... I threw up and my throat started bleeding..... and now I’m in so much pain
K Lesly how do you feel now?
Better but I have bronchitis
Better but I have bronchitis
K Lesly sorry to hear that i hope you recover soon
I’m 21 and I just got it done yesterday. I woke up with no pain. 6 hrs later I have slight pain only when I try to swallow. My advice to everyone is drink water as much as you can, buy baby food, take the medication and watch movies . Also what really helps is keep your room warm or buy a humidifier or take hot baths ❤️. Don’t be in a rush to eat .
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
Hello guys.. I just want to make sure everything is okay with me. It is my day 5 and I just feel sore throat a little bit more annoying than having flu... but overall I do not feel pain in order to stop eating. Usually I eat soups with little pieces of chicken. But I can eat gelatin, baby food, ice cream, popsicles, shakes (cocomilk) I'm lactose intolerant. All my food is soft and liquid including my medication is liquid as well. But I am not hungry at all I just like to eat.
What I want to ask is .... is that true 7 to 10 days are the worst??? I'm scared to stop eating and have a lot of pain :'(
please help me to prepare mentally and physically strong!!! 😓
I hope you have healed well and apologies you didn't get a quicker response from me, love and light to you 🤍✨
They say avoid tomato, orange, grapefruit. They are very acidic.
great tips! 🙏🏼
day 6 and i’m dying 😭 i can’t eat or drink. i haven’t slept since the night before the surgery. i can’t sleep because if i wake up then i’m in so much pain because not be able to swallow :( i can’t eat dairy or anything so i haven’t eaten in 6 days & only drinking a little water
i'm on day 4... :( this video helped so much tho thank you !!
i'm only on day 2 and already had to go to the ER because i kept throwing up and i couldn't keep my pain meds or fluids down so i had to get iv fluids and nausea medicine in my IV and then they gave me fluid pain medicine so i could take that instead of pills since it was too hard for me. it's later in the day now and i'm feeling better but i am so hungry but scared to eat
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
Day two here the morning was awful but it gets better as it goes on I’m not looking forward to tomorrow.
Day 7 and I am healing. Alhamdulillah
i hope you healed up well 🤍
Im on day 11 and still miserable! I hope it gets better soon. I'm sooo hungry 😭
Can't even swallow my own saliva 😭😭
push through all will be well soon enough 🙏🏼 sending healing ✨
i'm on day 6 can eat a little but cant talk
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
I'm on day 6 and the pain is so bad and I have had nothing to eat it is the worst pain ever and I have an infection in the back in my throat right now it is horrible !!!!!! I'm on penicillin this numing spray and antibiotics and parositom !!!!!!!

it's my 7th day after my tonsillectomy and for days now, drinking any type of tempered water stings my throat! anyone having the same feeling and p.s i was given no pain killers after i was released, only some medication for healing etc.
i'm only having custard and ice-blocks....
i have the same problem !, how did you get over it?
I’m on day 2 and I feel great 👍 only pain is when I swallow, I think the key is to stay hydrated as possible
I hope you've healed well 🙏🏼
Hey Chris! Did you ever experience severe pain? I’m on day two and doing good so far. Not even close to as painful as ppl made it sound but I’m concerned thats because it’s only day two haha
im on day 2 and its the worst pain really want to eat everything but i seriousily cant x
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
when did your scabs completely come off!
it took around 4-5 weeks for mine to totally go 😰
Day 6 and im starting to regret it
I’m on day 5 right now.
Me with surgeries
I hope you healed well 🤍
Mine is horrible too probably worse. I couldn’t eat or drink for five days and went to the ER for an IV
I hope you healed up well love 🤍
I’m on day 12 and I’m pretty much healed but I have a tiny bit of pain when I swallow but I’m fine 🙂
Were you able to eat normal food at that time?
@@82ritchie yes i was ablw to eat by day 3
When did your scabs fell out? I’m on day 8 and it’s still there. It hurts as well during eating or drinking. From when did u start feeling better?
L S it really depends on how you body works when you start to feel like stuff is stuck in your throat that’s the scaps and I was better by the 10-12 day🙂 feel better😉😊
I’m on day 6 and when I drink water my throat burn I hate it I wanna be heal already 😩😣
i hope you healed up well 🤍
For anyone watching do not eat citrus, mostly every fruit will sting
Day 2, my uvula is swollen, my scabs are itchy, it hurts to swallow and live. I’m not vibing
I hope your feeling much better now 🙏🏼
