Yes people keep nagging and whining about him doing more like Swades but when he actually does they don't go to theatres and the filmmakers lose money. People need to remember that at the end of the day this is his work and he needs money to flow in order to make such movies. It's such a shame to have an actor like him so underutilized because people want him to do a Veer Zara every year while not aging or changing a bit. Even though Raees was a moderate success it should've been a hit because he displayed an unrivaled passion in acting that role, there isn't one instance when I didn't believe his character as Raees, which was very intensely performed. This I believed is a quite an accomplishment because although he played intense roles or antiheroes they still featured a boyish charm, while Raees was just intimidating and charismatic as hell, something that the audience has never seen from SRK.

I saw this movie when I was a kid I don't remember much of it and I obviously wouldn't have understood it but I remember I liked it because I really liked shahrukh and just the movie's aesthetic in genral. I also remember always singing the song Yuhin chala chal rahi as well. If I being a kid could like it I feel the adults could have appretiated the film a lil more too.
Swades was a masterpiece. I remember going to the theatre with my family and 2 other families to watch the movie. Surprisingly it was my dad's idea, he used to be a movie fanatic in his childhood but lost interest in them during the romantic hero phase, but something about swades pulled him towards it and he made us all go. I was young then and people would think that I only cared for the song yeh tara vo tara (which ofcrs I did and it was my jam) but that's not true, the movie was important and even as a young child I understood that. The movie moved me and I still remember it to this day. You are doing a great job with these videos. It makes me so happy that you're gathering attention towards these gems. Love it. ❤❤❤❤
Hands down your best video till date. For me when Mohan touches Kaveri amma's feet and she says ' Mujhe kitni khushi ho rahi hai tujhe dekh kar, main bata nahi paa rahi hoon', makes me cry every fucking time.
I cry every time I watch this movie. You never get bored even for a moment. Thanks for bringing up a video based on this all-time favorite movie of mine. :)
I saw both Swades and Lagaan once their original DVDs came out. They are different beasts. While Lagaan is an exhilarating underdog drama, Swades, an initmate social drama, hits more closer to the heart. It is more personal, more internalized and calls for introspection. Comparisons are unfortunate because, to quote Javed Akhtar, "Sab yeh roop hain mehnat ke, Kuch karne ki chahat ke, Kisi ka kisi se koi bair nahin.... " Seedhi baat hain samjho yaara...

Absolutely agree with you. Train scene was absolutely amazing. Thank God you mentioned the music. I feel this will count under one of Rahman's top work. Also the postmaster , his character shows that people in villages are not completely ignorant. They just need the right push. A wonderful movie.
Swades was definitely a movie that was way ahead of its time. The problems it addressed are relevant even today. More importantly SRK was not himself but Mohan Bhargava, that was felt in his performance. Issues such as casteism, misogyny, stereotypes and talented individual contributing towards development of foreign countries were excellently tackled in this movie. Swades truly is one gem of a movie made by Ashutosh Gowariker.
What a beautiful analysis you have done, bringing out all the subtexts and undercurrents. You certainly watched this movie with the love it deserves! Thank you.

Swadesh and Tamasha ...these two films are gem 💗
Exactly. .
Both are underrated gems
Right
Eeeeh i was abt to mention Tamasha
You revisiting this classic made my day. This movie was so special that every scene turned my class rooms into a journey into India. My social studies classes have gained momentum with this gem. Thank you once again
The. Style in which u narrate is just ..... awesome ✨✨✌️
Being UNDERRATED is good sometimes. The movie of a popular celebrity which is his best is only known to you is an awesome feeling when others love him because of his glamorous movies which made huge box office collections.
Dude Watch the video Why Classics Failed he has also done great research on many films like swades...
Man you have brought up an excellent movie left out in dust, I am 22 years old still moved by this movie from early 2000 . Thankyou for bringing this up.
14 years...And theme of this movie is still relevant.
Even if it's re-released now, it still will be wayyyyyy ahead of this time! This movie is amazingly futuristic. It is so in the future.
A movie that truly moves you and should have been appreciated in every way. I still revisit the train scene where SRK witnesses the reality of the situation just to feel the rush of emotions again.
I watched it last month brother it's a gem
I m Not a big fan of srk.....
But swadesh is one of my favorite film of him❤️❤️😘
Swadesh is one of the best film of Indian cinema😘....
I hope srk will very big comeback
Watched it a100th time just 2 days back & cried during the title song ❤️
What are your thoughts on October? I was stuck with its vibes for 2-3 days.
Ahh Srk! He was born to do this movie...
Wish we could see more such type of works from srk..
Seriously you are absolutely on point. Having watched this masterpiece today I can clearly say that this movie was way ahead of its time.
What a movie !!! I remember being awe struck watching this in the movie theater and I was in tears. I was 20 years old then. Now I am an NRI myself. And I relate to this very closely, in a heartfelt way.
Wanna C Dis Masterpiece again
SRK is d undisputed king
SRK needs to roll back to those years. He has to have grasped by now that the audience now appreciates this kind of a movie...
Back when SRK actually used to do sensible films.
Yaa lekin kuch chodu logo ko ye sensible movie pasand nhi aaati...
Bass kutte ki tarah zabaan nikal ke simbha jaisi copied movies ko hit bnati hai chutiya audience
Sad reality sensible movie's don't get audience eyes back then if people aware of this
Its a masterpiece
But he has done Zero, Dear Zindagi and Raees in the near times
@@sharvisharma1983 fan too, pata nahi sensible movies matlab inko Kya lagta hai
@@sharvisharma1983 Zero was trash. Fan and dear zindagi were good. Raees is ok.
You can still edit the title of this video.. this film wasn't failed miserably.. this film is a gem.. a diamond.. Whose shine will never diminish .. no matter how many days, years go by....💎❤️
I saw this movie when I was a kid I don't remember much of it and I obviously wouldn't have understood it but I remember I liked it because I really liked shahrukh and just the movie's aesthetic in genral.
Love it. ❤❤❤❤
Hands down to you too ! Amazing observation, analysis and narration ! Thankyou
Hands down your best video till date. For me when Mohan touches Kaveri amma's feet and she says ' Mujhe kitni khushi ho rahi hai tujhe dekh kar, main bata nahi paa rahi hoon', makes me cry every fucking time.
I HAVE NO WORDS FOR THIS Masterpiece named #SWADES
I cry every time I watch this movie. You never get bored even for a moment. Thanks for bringing up a video based on this all-time favorite movie of mine. :)
swades was a masterpiece every charecter in the movie were so desi perfect
I saw both Swades and Lagaan once their original DVDs came out. They are different beasts. While Lagaan is an exhilarating underdog drama, Swades, an initmate social drama, hits more closer to the heart. It is more personal, more internalized and calls for introspection. Comparisons are unfortunate because, to quote Javed Akhtar, "Sab yeh roop hain mehnat ke, Kuch karne ki chahat ke, Kisi ka kisi se koi bair nahin.... " Seedhi baat hain samjho yaara...
while u were narrating the story...i literally had goosebumps
one of the most underrated movies....
Swades is one of the best Srk movies, makes me emotional every time I watch it...💙
We don't deserve this type of movies. People in India are idiots. I also felt angry when parmanu got criticism for hypernationalism. We are so anti- nationalist
Parmanu was best movie i ever watch plz suggest me some like it..!
The critics are biased but being not so petriotic I really like Parmanu as a movie
We are just brainwashed by some morons
Damn true man movies are becoming shit not just in Bollywood but Hollywood too there is little content left to watch now
It's not anti-nationalist. Dil Se discussed the flaws of the Indian army alongside the pros and it still flopped though it's SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MOVIE
My all time favourite movies
1. Swadesh
2. 3 Idiots
3. Lagaan
4. Tumbbad
5. Munna bhai MBBS
6. Gangajal
7. Bahubali (1&2)
8. Zindagi Na Melegi Dobara
9. Barfi
Add #TheKashmirFiles too
@@srijanisallyouneed have some shame writing about this communal shit
Srk has done some amazing movies in the past. I hope those days of srk will be seen again soon.
Swades will remain on the top of my all time favourite list, this is a very well crafted masterpiece.
Yeah it was ahead of it's time.
Oh yess!!!
This is one of the best performances of srk❤️
Love these kinds of videos 👍🏻
However please do one on “waiting” with Kalki koechlin and Naseeruddin Shah. It’s one of the most underrated movies ever 🙏🏻
Spoke my heart out,
I thought nobody understood this movie or maybe nobody cared.
You have said and focused on everything that is there in my heart regarding this wonderful piece of art.
Way to go. 👌
I appreciate how deeply you go through the minute things. It shows how hardworking you are. You are absolutely loyal towards your subscribers. Waiting for fresh weekly content ahead💕
that conversation between poor farmer and mohan was so deep, and srk's expressions in the whole movie were so natural , this movie is lit
Just watched it, its a Cult classic
Netflix should pay you for this. Going there to watch Swades once again. Thanks for the reminder.
"Constellation on surface"
What a phrase man
After a full video on Tamasha, you gave this.. Thank You :)
Can you make a video on
"FAN".
I think it is one of the Greatest Bollywood movie.
Perfect acting.
New story.
Straight out direction.
FAN-STAR BOND.
Good dialogues.
Casting of support cast could be better but still a masterpiece type of film.
And who can forget the VFx work.
Please make a video on it.
🙏❤️😅
I hope you are being sarcastic.
Bhai bolde ki tu nasha karta Hain vo bhi saste nashe
Yun to sare sukh hai barse ...par dur hai tu apne ghar se .
Chal laut aa ab diwane ..jaha koi toh tuje apna maane .
Wow magical lines.
i always want SRK to show this film once again to the whole world once in his lifetime
That water scene always gets me ..that is most impactful scene without any dialogue of movie
I saw swades in 2004 it's still worth to watch it. Music, content and acting all r perfect way far from that time.
What a beautiful analysis you have done, bringing out all the subtexts and undercurrents. You certainly watched this movie with the love it deserves! Thank you.
Thanks for this review!! I really wish SRK watch this
Very well put together.. i watched the movie multiple times and never did i feel an iota of boredom... the video was equally absorbing.. well done..
Swades 💗💯💎
Beautiful video jammy!! Really beautiful keep it up!! Give us more such content!!
