- Time for an update as plenty has been happening, again! The Volvo EX30 arrived in Europe, first demo cars are available. Volvo revealed the Volvo EM90, I have some more C40 issues (what's new...) and welcome in the MY23 Volvo XC90 T8 Recharge, awesome!!

Must say, the XC60 and XC90 will be our Ultimate Family car! Currently owning the Lync but this one lacks a bit in room in the back and a not so big trunk
My 2022 XC40 Recharge Twin with software 2.12 lost LTE about 2 weeks ago. Every time I unlocked the car, the red SOS light flashed and I saw the "x" next to the LTE icon (no google maps either, of course). I reset the IHU and TCAM (via defrost button) many times over several days and nothing worked over the course of about 5 days. I made an appointment with the dealer, but about 10 days after I first noticed the problem, the LTE signal was reestablished. Everything seems fine now.
What is the longest distance you have driven on a 100-0% charge in km in your c40 without charging?
Sometimes there is some dust/dirt in the chargeport of your iphone. Use a toothpick and pick the dust out of the chargeport of your iPhone but be carefull. Don’t be to rough because you could also damage the chargeport
By the way: i ordered the ex30 short range core. The cheapest volvo with heated seats/steering and towbar as option.
Question: will this lfp battery without heatpump pre-heat the battery when charge stations are selected in the navigation? Or os pre-heating the battery only for the long range versions with heat pump

Hi Thom, since the last software update we have had the problem in our XC60 T6 recharge (2024) that we cannot use Apple Carplay. If you get any information here on how to solve the problem, please let us know.

Have you had any problems with a strange noise from the drive train when accelerating hard? My C40 model year 23 twin ultimate makes a loud rattling sound when you pull away fast
I'm experiencing this. It almost sounds like an engine!
Yes, that’s it, I was going to say it sounds like a petrol or diesel car with a hole in the exhaust. I’ve read various online forums mostly from the US where customers also have this noise. My car is booked in to the local dealership next month, I’ll let you know what they say
I had worsening connection issues on my XC40 Twin for LTE & GPS to the point that it just stopped. The local dealer sorted quickly, but apparently had to "go deep" - don't know what they did yet - but it has been perfect since. They collected the car and returned it in 4 hours - did the above plus extended the sunroof drains to get rid of the harmonic drumming after rainfall ... and they fitted all new wipers. Also noticed that Google Maps colours changed this week - much better
Op Volvo Cars nl zag ik dat de specificaties van de V60 al zijn gewijzigd. Naast het verdwijnen van enkele kleuren zijn ook de aanduidingen gewijzigd. De Ultimate heeft plaatsgemaakt voor de Ultra, de tarieven lijken ongewijzigd én de Polestar Engineered is er nog, maar niet meer standaard in Thunder Grey...

My XC40 Twin MY2023 was called back to the dealer last week for the vibration fix. They added some padding between the air bag and the steering column. The vibration is about 50 percent less now but not gone. Pretty disappointed to be honest.
That’s too bad. Do you know if that is the final solution?

Nah the vaberation is still there🙃 Yesterday I drove at 150km/h and I can say the whole car was viberating. Even the passenger could feel it. Need a fix ASAP!

Have a connection problem with USBc lead on our c40. Always shows up as poor connection but if I ignore it the Apple Car Play works as it should.
The way you are nitpicking about all the small issues every single video is getting a bit annoying tbh. Are you trying to get Volvo's attention or what's the idea? It seems you are playing right into the EV haters area recently.
I'm not talking about the charging issue you had, that one sucked tbh but I read of noone else encountering it
The only issue I have (a very small vibration at 120-130) is just a first world problem (which I'm sure it's going to be fixed).

Volvo BOUGHT MY c40 Recharge back! under 500 miles I reported the problem, they had it for a month and couldnt fix it- there is no fix. So they have agreed to repurchase. The paperwork is being done by Volvo North America.

Same vibration at highway speeds that MANY others have had. I had the C40 recharge less than a month and reported it- they had to "try" and fix it- of course they couldnt so Corprate has agreed to buy it back@@forevertool
Looks like the end of Volvo cars for me... I hate elecric vehicles.. the experience of driving them, charging them and the dashboard interface.. (the trend of having a touchtablet for ALL functions tesla style ughh WHYYYYY???)
Good luck with that, then. The touch screen has been around for a while - you kind of need it to talk to a digital interface, and the mapping is nice to have. The thing with the Volvo EV is that it works the way you’d expect one to work. So you prefer the noise and smell of an analogue internal combustion engine. Fine, but be prepared to pay for it, just as you would if you owned a horse. I’ve spent about $600 in 18 months, compared to almost $200 a tank for my old car. Plus I charge overnight at home. Still, it won’t work for everyone.
