  • Glencoe in Scotland for me is one of the most beautiful places to pursue landscape photography. Stunning scenery and ever changing weather conditions makes it a photographers dream.
    In this video, recorded in 2019, I take you to a few of the locations I have photographed there. These are older images but it was good to look over them and see improvements I have made in my photography and editing.
    The competition winner has also be drawn and is announced in the video. Thank you to everyone who took part.

    Wow I've just discovered your channel and subscribed of course. Glencoe is stunning, I'm Australian, I live in South Australia, in the Flinders Ranges and have never been there, yet. I have a Scottish heritage on both sides of my family, McDonald and Campbell and I have a real fascination for Scotland. Hopefully me and my camera will visited in the next few years, the place that is my history. Meanwhile I shall enjoy your accent and photographs.

    You are a Man after my own heart Gary, I have loved the Glencoe area since my father brought me here as a child and the excitement of heading off early to get up there never leaves you even after many decades. I am really desperate to get back hopefully in the next few weeks, just so disappointed to have missed the Magic of the Snow earlier.

    Hi Gary: I have just found your You Tube channel and I have subscribed. I really enjoyed this video and I will go back into your library to view more of your content. We hope to be able to come to Scotland in the fall 2021, but all lot of Covid-19 related issues need to be sorted out. I will also keep your name in mind as we set the final arrangements for our stay in Glencoe (about 5 days). Cheers, Keith (Canada)

      Hi Gary: I am just watching your March 21st video and now I have to add going to Dunure to experience this location. L.O.L. We will be travelling from the Lake District, so I have to figure out if we can add this location on our way to Inverary. Cheers, Keith

    I see someone has already asked about focal blending. Looking forward to seeing the video on it as usual! Another top Video, hopefully you'll be allowed out of being local soon. Someone ditched photoshop, I have just bought Affinity , It's given me focus stacking, also the Hdr is better than what i use, so I've slimed down to Luminar 4.3, and Affinity. So I've given the focus stacking and exposure blending a bit of a bashing after watching your Video. Such a really helpful, informative, and inspiring channel. Thanks for your time and energy in producing these! Best wishes!

    • @GaryMcIntyrePhotographer
      @GaryMcIntyrePhotographer  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Ian, many thanks for watching and glad you enjoy the videos. I've never really tried Affinity but I see more and more people using it. I'm definitely an Adobe man but always like to try out different software so might just give it a spin. The focal blending vid will be soon as I'm just shooting different examples of it at the moment. All the best, Gary 😀👍👍

    Nice one Gary and cant beat a wander round Glencoe. Need to maybe start looking at the software you use as pulled the plug on paying for Adobe. Have now switched to Davinci Resolve for video editing and actually find it better once I got my head round it. And the good thing is it's free. Atb

    • @GaryMcIntyrePhotographer
      @GaryMcIntyrePhotographer  3 роки тому

      Many thanks Ray, I tried Davinci but for now it was too much of a learning curve for me. I've got to admit, I'm an Adobe man through and through and use Luminar as a plug in just to finish off the images. So looking forward to getting back out. I was actually catching up with your last 3 uploads on Sunday night, looking forward to more :) Atb

      Thanks again for watching Elaine. It was actually a filters video for this week but the waterfall noise was way too much for anyone to sit through🤣 so I'll re-record another. My main filters are a polariser, nd6 stopper and nd10stopper and thinking of adding a variable nd to that. Glad you enjoyed the video😁👍👍
