Congrats, Jeff. I’m really looking forward to when F451 hits my doorstep. I’m getting both the AGE and the numbered edition, and both editions look amazing. Pretty special book. I love seeing you get all these ARCs though. Happy for you, man.
Thank you! Paul is like my guardian angel pulling me off the bridge. That numbered F451 production update made me itch. It will be among the most gorgeous productions. But I say that every time. I just love that top edge gilding.
Yeah, nice! I saw you fighting to get an ARC on that live feed. 😉 But lucky you, he send you one anyways. How does one get on his shortlist for those ARC's? As always i enjoyed the video Jeff, keep it up! 👍🏻👌🏻
yeah had I known this ARC was on its way to my house, I would have stepped back and not tried to win one.But as it was, my internet connection was a few seconds slower than Paul's questions and I was seeing people answering before I even heard the question. I'm so glad I didn't win. I'd have felt horrible. Though I'd probably give the extra ARC away to a viewer somehow.
Southern Tier is New York I believe. I have never had that one. I was betting you weren't going to like it. I am not into most pumpkin brews. That is a mighty pretty ARC. Whelan doesn't paint anything to be slapped on a dud. That book got me into reading in general. It would have been to be alive during the late 50s and 60s and all the great sci-fi and fantasy that came out then, and book stores were cool and unique back then.
I love pumpkin flavored stuff--including PSLs. Southern Tier's Warlock was my first imperial stout and I've been hooked on imperial stouts ever since. Paul's ARCs are gems all their own. And including the Whelan art on the cover is beyond fantastic--considering so many ARCs are just plain covers. I would have loved to been alive then too--for so many reasons, including the amazing bookstores and comic book shops that are all dying out.
REALLY? I've heard more criticism that he looked too much like Roland Deschain. I guess I see your point, but I love that cover. I'm surprised there are still copies available with all the Whelan love out there.
@@THEJEFFWORD Roland has masculine bone structure, and he isn't giving someone a creepy stare. Almost like he's longing... Take a good look at his face. Again, too feminine IMO.

Hard Case Crime is putting out a collection of Ray Bradbury's crime stories later this year.
I KNOW! I saw that and at some point I'll probably buy that.

I like the cover except for the guy's face. He looks too feminine, and his yearning facial expression makes it even worse.
