Who is listening to this in 2024
I'm still listening to Lou Gramm's solo stuff as well as his work with Foreigner. Next up for me is Lou's "Lost in the Shadows" from the soundtrack to "The Lost Boys". The 80s is alive and still going strong!!
👋🏻😊
no you are alone !!
I never left...😅😅😅
All the nights
Listening to this song, all I can think is, "Ah, God I miss the 80's!"
I'm 56 and all I can say is "WE HAD IT ALL IN THE 80's"
I am almost 70 and STILL YET there is NO NO NO MUSIC that can top Foreigner or the 80'S!!!!!!
@@jrhowe5091 Have we changed, has the music changed, or both?

Music will never be this good again.
I am 63 now and this is the music we listened as students.
It was an amazing time.

Lou Gramm has the best voice of all time!
Lou is indeed the GOAT.
Ive always LOVED him. Husband not such a big fan. Then, literally 5 years ago, he comes to me and he was listing to radio show that broke up songs or whatever, and he’s like Lou Gramm has SUCH a GREAT voice! I wanted to slap him. I settled for uh, yeah? I’ve been telling you that for years! Omg.
@@mangot589sometimes it just takes some time for people to accept the facts with certain musicians and their greatness
I'm 17 and proud to listen to this
Proud of you young man. This proves how quality person you are. I wish you the best in your life. Wish my son will be like you.
Good music is for everyone, only you need to find it. Nice that You did it. Let me know I'll help you find more.
@@Archangell-Michaell Good taste in music. '80's forever!!
Gooooood ❤😊
Good on you. I'm 59.
Lou Gramm is right. Foreigner is not Foreigner without Lou Gramm...one of the all time great rock voices
I agree
Foreigner is my all time favorite and especially Lou Graham, he's the best 😻💓
1987 was one of the better years of great 80's music!!!!!!!!!!!
They had a great sound, i was privileged to be alive in the 80s
How this group is not in the rock and roll Hall of fame blows my mind. Foreigner rocks.
why does it matter? rock n roll hall of fame means nothing.
They are in my Hall of Fame❤
@@Brand73 i know but they still should be that is what i am saying.
I agree with you 100% I'm 58 and these songs still give me the chills! Say You Will for example i can listen to over and over! When I'm having a bad day ,these songs lift me up! Lou Graham is and always will be Foreigner!! Not that the new lead Kelly Hansen has been doing a bad job!
I don’t know, probably didn’t kiss the right azz. Or cult groups.
This was my older brothers favourite song, he hanged himself two day ago and im now listening to it crying my heart out. I still cant believe it happened. Rest In Peace my brother🕊
I’m so very sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences. 💐
Damn
I'm so so sorry to hear this😢
so sorry to hear of your loss😢.... you have great memories of him now ❤💞🙌 MHDSRIP
Damm 😢😢😢 R.I.P
We didn't have internet, email, or smartphones in the 80s but we sure did have great music.
There was some internet in the 80's, but not Worldwide.
As for email there was email-1984
FidoNet is released, creating a network of connected Email accepting, and forwarding Bulletin boards. etc
AMEN TO THAT!!!
That was the reason that 80's was the best decade
I totally agree 💯💯💯
And thank God we had no Corona 😂😂😂
Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame NOW!!!!!!
They will be inducted in the new class, way overdue!! Jann Wenner was the reason they were kept out. Amazing band with great voice of Lou Gramm!
Complicated sentiment simplified by a glamorous video. Lou goes from questioning to desperate to scared all in one song. How he did it is an enjoyable mystery. Pure artistry.
You can never mistake Lou Gramm’s voice
I love this song. It's timeless. An 80s treasure.

Grew up listening to Lou Gramm's voice. What a voice it was.
Me too..80s kid.
I'm like #80...AWESOME!!
Best rock voice ever! Perfect combination of blue collar grit but also melts your heart with his soulfulness
80's video girls were the BEST!!! ♥♥♥
Thank you
80’s were the best
Lou Gramm is one of the best voices in rock along with Steve Perry from Journey!
What about Eric Martin from Mr. Big,?
He’s from Rochester NY about an hour down I90 from my area
And Don Dokken.😉
Agreed
No doubt about it! There are many great singers but Lou was in the top 10 definetely!
No decade will ever top the 80’s
Ever
Pop culture wise? NEVER EVER EVER
Really!! 80's music wasn't all that great! Thought, this is a great song.

Say you will, say you won't
Make up your mind tonight
Say you do, say you don't
Wanna be mine
Say you will, say you won't
Make up your mind this time
Say you will, say you will
Be mine tonight
I can't sleep, I keep dreaming of losing you
I feel so alone in the night, scared to open my eyes
I'm in too deep, I'm in over my head this time
Can't get you out of my mind no matter how hard I try
So won't you
Say you will, say you won't
Make up your mind tonight
Say you will, say you won't
Be my guiding light
Say you will, say you won't
Make up your mind this time
Say you do, say you do
You wanna be mine
I get the feeling I've never been here before
'Cause no one I've known's ever moved me the way that you do
And I know this is the real thing
It's all I've been searching for
I put it all on the line now I'm hoping you feel that way too
(And if you do) Why don't you
Say you will, say you won't
Make up your mind tonight
Say you do, say you don't
Wanna be mine
Now will you
Say you will, you say you won't
Make up your mind this time
Say you will, say you will
You'll be mine tonight
Will you tell me how much I mean to you?
Will you say you always will be true?
I need more than a come on sign
So won't you say you will be mine
Now won't you
Say you will, say you won't
Make up your mind tonight
Say you will, say you will
Be my guiding light
Say you will, say you will
Make up your mind this time
Say you do, say you do
You wanna be mine
Come on, come on
Say you will
Make up your mind tonight
Say you will, say you will
Be mine tonight
Be mine tonight
Say you will
Be mine tonight, yeah
Say you will
Be mine tonight
Say you will
Say you will

Lou Gramm, Robin Zander, Steve Perry and Freddie Mercury have stunning voices!
It's good you realize that . Thank you for sharing that , opinion.
Don't forget the great jimi jamison
Awesome song! “Inside Information” is a very underrated Foreigner album, but I think it’s one of their best. Very melodic, and a great blend of rock and pop. Shame the band didn’t tour for it, as Lou and Mick were having artistic differences at this time, but I think they still cranked out a great album. 😊
Such an underrated Foreigner song! Definitely one of the best ballads ever 💕😊
This one and girl on the moon…
One of the most underrated Foreigner songs... And the bridge where it changes key... So damn good... I was 17 in 1987, and listening to this wishes I could go back to that time and place.
Totally agree with you , great underrated song!
I think you are right about the bridge , it changes from e flat major to f sharp mixolydian
The bridge is just dreamy, one of my favourite pieces of music, love it.
Born the year this classic came out. 80s baby let's go.
If you figure out how to go back, I’m coming with you. Nothing like those days.
That's Lou Gramm you hear, don't ever forget his contribution to 80's rock!

@@nigelcorney1915 One of the most...1/10, 1/100, 1/1000, 1/10000😄 I don't think he is in the top 10!
Agreed. All his albums whether it’s Foreigner, Shadow King or solo are great.
@@Roenick272 Freddie Mercury, Steve Perry, George Michael
Even when he sang in "The Black Sheep"
I love the parts when he says: "say you will, say you won't" and then the pause for a second and then the drummer hitting the snare and cymbal and the same time, making a " "crash" type sound.
This is one of Foreigner's most underrated songs. It has such a great hook. This song came out just as I graduated from high school. There were so many great songs released in 1987, including "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake; "Alone" by Heart; "Heaven is a Place on Earth" by Belinda Carlisle; "Invisible Touch" by Genesis"; and "No One is to Blame" by Howard Jones. So many great hits that year.
Saw them twice in concert, once at the Fair, it was in a small arena, I had a great view and the sound was great !! 👍
@@ericdouglass1995 same . Two times consecutive days back in 1993... I am a metal guy but I still remember Foreigner concerts as one of the best I had the opportunity to enjoy... Sound was second to none... And let's not forget about "that was yesterday"...
I think it's their best. So great at the 2:30 mark when they go off into the bridge.
@@SuperDrJeckyl so good...
Do you remember Richard Marx's debut album? Self-titled. It was released in 1987.
I get so lost in my music ! What a time to have been young!
Indeed
You Got That RIGHT!!!!
Don't let age limit or ever, ever affect the way you LOVE music!! I am 70 years old and I have LOVED music since I was 6 years old!! My LOVE for music has never, EVER diminished as I have gotten older, and it never will. Not even a tiny bit. It is the only "drug" that can remove the pain, hurt, and disappointment that tries to invade my well being. Don't let age define what you enjoy. Heck, I still laugh at my favorite Looney Tunes cartoons. 🤪🤪🤪
It was awesome. I miss the 80's 👌🏾
it sure was an amazing time to live ones youth ... amazing times
A treasure... This band is so iconic and so personal in the artistry of the songs it has created its sooooooo beautiful...
The 80’s, teenage years, gosh those were marvelous years! 😄💃🎶❤️
This is a great example of a simple great song with classic 1980s essence!
God his voice! It made Foreigner what it was! So iconic!
My favorite Foreigner song.

We had the best of music could offer, back then. Thanks to youtube and Spotify, we can search for long lost memories.
We literally had the best music and the best TV shows and the best of everything back in the 80s, I thank God I grew up in that time.

Not everything in the 80,s was great, but the music definitely was.
Not only did They have really great music during the 80's but also beautiful women too and im really glad and fortunate to have been born during that decade❤❤😂😂
I'm glad I was born in the 80's.
No auto tune or protools just passion and pure natural talent
GenX and Millennials have no idea of what you speak.
One of Foreigner's best songs, unlike many of their hits this song has gotten very little airplay after its chart run which is very unfortunate.
Heard this song on my local rock radio station this morning and it reminded me how bloody amazing this song is
You’re so right. I’d forgotten about this one until I heard it in the store the other day.
In general no it hasn't, when i was last on holiday in US, heard it 6 times on radio, when in Holland heard it 8 times on radio and saw music video twice on retro channels-etc
Never heard this on the radio but I had their greatest hits CD and this supplanted Cold As Ice as my fav Foreigner song
It's my favourite Foreigner song!!
I finished building my time machine.Who would like to go back to the 80's and 90's with me?😉
Hi Tarkan I saw your post.yes please I so want to

I used to think that "I Want to Know What Love Is" was Foreigner's best song, but I think I like this one more.
Waiting For A Girl Like You is another gem
This number giving me back old memories. We all forgot this time with this busy life and all the wars in the world. Now with this music of the 80's it feels like time travel. I wanna go back to this time 😢 no worry's.....
Directed by David Fincher. No wonder it looks so damn good! Foreigner & Fincher, amazing! Great song!
Im 71 and i love this music i also like George Jones. Thank U Tube
CLASSIC ROCK!!!! Back when music had meaning and we always related it to love and relationships.. the best of times
I am 20 years old and agree so much. I love music from the 80s, like you say it has meaning and just feels more real like the artist is really telling you something that happened to him. Today I feel like all the music sounds the same and artificial. You can clearly hear that the music is filled with articial computer generated sounds, it just makes it more fake. In 80s music you can hear the instruments, it just makes it more real. I also just hate the artists of today. Wish I was young in the 80s.
Hell yeah I’m still listening 2024
Im 15 years old and i love this song
I've been playing this all day. I miss the 80's 👍🏾❤
I agree I miss the 80's music was so awesome and I felt like every song was what I felt ❤❤❤
Just another song/video that makes me wish I could go right back to 1987 and never leave.
Am a great full man to grow up in the 80s lots of great music better than all the rap remakes of today instead of sampling write your own tunes
Each decade had music that was special in its own way, but the 80’s had the end of disco, beginning of true pop, beginning & end of big hair rock, and the real take off of rap/hip-hop. A great time to associate life events with the music of the time. I think that’s why so many people feel nostalgic when hearing 80’s era music. A lot to relate to.
What a profound comment. And you are 💯 right on in those statements. Loved your point of view. Hope to see you commenting on music today
Lou Gramm, Freddie Mercury and Steve Perry... phenomenal vocalists... good luck competing with them, current “music”
Exactly
There's a reason all of the modern "artists" are 1 hit wonders
Roger Hodgson de Super Tramp exelente bocalista
Hey that's my top 3 list as well!!!!!
Don’t forget to include Kansas’ Steve Walsh
Just a shame that the original lineup never reunited even for one last tour.
This song does not get enough airplay on classic rock stations.
Yes the 1980's was the best time on this rock. Music tv movies
Awesome song by Lou, Mick and the brothers!
I love this beautiful gem of a song. Acoustic live versions are amazing too.

Getting to finally go see Foreigner on the Agent Provocateur tour was a dream come true. Mom wouldn't let me see the 4 tour but by 85 I was on my own. Lou was incredible. Don't think anyone from that era matches him. And I've seen them all live. Not only is he the best he is the most underrated..
That's why I like about Foreigner they Rock hard or they can Rock soft that's what makes them so great and so incredibly personal
I'm shocked that Lou hated and sabotaged the album - he sounds so good here!
My sophomore year in high school (Spring 1988). One of the most requested songs at my high school dances on Friday nights!
