Interesting how a lot of people didn't pick up the fact that in one of the scenes Mark's face is busted up and the next scene it's not. He was also more violent and tried to attack "dr. Horrow" I even felt his mannerisms were a little off, which made it obvious to me that it was really Jake
Plus his accent was different as well, it sounded a bit like a New York accent, which makes sense cause in the comics Moon Knight was in New York.
It's okay, it is an easy miss. I didn't notice until my second time watching it. Probably because I was tired when I watched it the first time lol

I feel the dad was just as wrong maybe a little less then Marc mom because he let his wife talk shit to the only son they have left and let her beat on him and didn't say or do a thing till it was too late.
agreed. the father didn’t do enough to protect marc from the mom - him being bystander to “keep the peace” in the family is bad too.

I think the “Mark” talking to doctor Harrow is the third alter. He’s mannerisms, voice, violent temper and broken nose just screams Jake to me.

The first one was Jake but the other two times were definitely Mark and Steven. Both of them were trying to escape but for Jake to be in the office, im kinda intrigued on why he was there. what was he trying to escape
Great episode. I loved the Black Panther reference. I love the psychological horror element in this series. I want to give Marc Spector a hug while watching this episode. Marc's mom had no chill. Steven calling Arthur Harrow Ned Flanders was funny. This series is still dropping hints toward Jake Lockley. The visuals in this series are excellent. Oscar Issac was the perfect casting for Moon Knight. Another thing I loved was Marc and Steven's interaction with Taweret.
Sad to say but DID is the result of continuous childhood trauma usually between the age 6-9 but as young as 4. Because its not the mind breaking but its actually hyper compartmentalizing during the development stages

If you like seeing an actor go hard playing multiple characters, the Emmy really goes to Tatiana Maslany. You definitely need to watch Orphan Black, if you've never seen it before. Trust me she plays more than two characters and I believe every single one of those characters are different people. They have their own mannerisms and everything. If you've never seen it, you should definitely put it on your list of things to watch
The episode put me through it! The scene with Marc switching to Steven in the street really got me. Especially when Steven got on the phone and said he was “lost again”. So true on so many levels 😢

I may be wrong but I thought that was Jake at first. He sounded different from Marc and Steven. Plus he was bloodied and everything.
I absolutely loved what being done with 'Moon Knight' on dealing with mental health and how deeper things (in Ep. 5) get in how the 5 stages of death is being explored through Mark & Stephen's perspective.
Jake is still there, he was the bloody nose one but he was so violent he got shut down and injected super quick as you can see he likes to cause harm. Scales balanced cause Jake seems to be the hidden alter that Marc and Steven don't know about. Notice a lot of his glimpses seem to be complete separate and way off from both of them. Hopefully there's a season 2 because of Jake since Steven became dormant. Alters don't just disappear they either integrate into other alters or go dormant.

Yeah, that's the thing with DID sometimes there's a personality hidden from the others. There isn't going to be a season 2 when Marvel submitted this either to the Oscars or Emmy's, they submitted it under limited series which means they can't make a season 2. They could make a movie which would be amazing.

I just finished the episode. It's definitely been the best so far. This is up there with WandaVision for me. It may be a little better since I didn't know anything about Moon Knight to predict things. I haven't cried this much in so long. Had me hiccupping, nose running, and everything. This man was acting his ass off. He better get an award or nomination. I wish there was a post credit scene cause I was grieving lol

as a person who experienced childhood trauma, this episode hurt my heart 😭 i hope marc and steven find their way back to each other again, and more importantly, i really hope they find some healing and peace 🥺🧡

I really think that its 3rd/Jake talking to Dr. Harrow right before he gets drugged. The speech pattern didn't sound like Marc or Steven
I love the fact that they mentioned the Ancestral Plane. I also love that there isn't just THE afterlife. The afterlife is subjective. Also finally, the guy with the bloody nose that picked up the pyramid screams Jake to me. He was so violent and his behaviour and voice was different from either Marc or Steven also the fact that neither Marc nor Steven had the bruises and bandages. That was Jake to me at least.
I loved Oscar Isaacs acting in this show man OMG that man is talented!!! He better get all the awards for this performance.
Edit: Also I think the psych ward with "Dr.Harrow" is his own mental block. Everytime he gets closer to one of his darkest memories he was back to the office to try and avoid confronting it.

I'm glad that Oscar Isaac gets a little redemption from being Apocalypse in the X-Men movie.
Maybe she did have it, but I also think thats a common thing to think when you have an abusive parent who could snap at any time 😞 it's like they turn into a different person
Unfortunately there will not be a Season 2. Disney already submitted the series for the award season and listed it as a Limited Series which means it can only have 1 season unfortunately
The circumstances and situation Marc was in, and why he created the personality of Steven.... It's quite reminiscent of the relationship of Elliot and Mr. Robot in the show "Mr. Robot."
Not the same obviously, but If you've seen that show, you can see some similarities.

This is a one and done series. If you see Moon Knight again it will be in his own movie or somewhere in the MCU. Disney/Marvel has entered this into Emmy considerations under the "Limited Series" category. The rules for that state it can't be ongoing. So no second season. Also, we've seen Jake since the beginning. He is the one that takes the trauma. Like the scene where he killed the henchmen and also took the beating from his mother, He was Steven when Marc rushed him out of the room, but Steven doesn't remember it. Also, the scene with the battered face is Jake, showing he takes the beatings to cope. Also he had a different accent and speech pattern than the other two. Also Taweret, also has the power to resurrect souls, that is why she is there, Anubis is the one that weighs the soul and Ammit would sit by the scales to eat the unworthy souls.

The editing does us no favors. Steven wasn't there to take the pain. He changes back to Marc for the beating. The editing just has to show Marc pushing Steven out of the room, so we don't see the last change.
Steven exists to provide a part of Marc that doesn't remember the bad stuff.
Jake has been sprinkled in thruout the series it's just been subtle but he was talking to Arthur at the beginning with the broken nose , if u listen closely his accent was more east coast

Jake is in this episode! Every time we see "Marc" with a broken nose - it's JAKE.
He's the violent one that gets the injection in his neck. He also has a New York accent.
The tearjerker section of TV Tropes says that, it's like he's lost his little brother, Randall, all over again, as well as a part of himself 🥺😣😔. Holding out hope that Steven comes back 🙏🤞.

You are the third or fourth reaction I've watched to edit out the mention of the "Ancestral Plane" in the youtube edit.
In my opinion this has been the best episode so far! Oscar Isaac acting has been exceptional! Steven had the light heart and Mark the heavy heart filled with guilt, pain, suffering and regret! In order for Mark to deal with all the trauma he has experienced he had to face it head on and let Steven go! I also believe that their is a 3rd personality in Mark that we have not seen yet but was in that other sarcophagus! I'm trying to figure out how Mark who is in paradise now, is going to be resurrected from the dead! To see how the death of Mark's brother tore their entire family apart is the saddest thing for me!! The mother, father and mark have all suffered incredible loss, sadness and trauma! Some people don't want to seek mental health treatment because of what others may think or say if they found out! This is still a stigma in the world today that people must overcome!!

You peeped the taxi but did you catch the NYC accent from the persona who went off on Dr. Harrow? He had a bloody bandaged nose. Marc never did. I think that was Jake from State Farm. If he was locked in the third sarcophagus it makes sense that he wasn't on Taweret's boat. I wonder how Marc's scales balanced after losing Steven when he still has an unresolved alter. I feel like they've been hinting at a third identity this whole time and kind of overlooked that detail. If this is the only season we get I will consider that to be the only flaw in the show.
Happy birthday to Tasha; I heard the main actor for moon knight is done after this so if they did plan to use moon knight going forward they would need to recast but with them being avatars that's a easy switch up
There's no point recasting. Oscar can stay as long as he likes. No one else can play MK like he can.

I think (and pray) Steven will be back in the last ep - with DID (from what I've researched, I don't have DID so pls take my opinion with a pinch of salt) an alter doesn’t just ‘die’ or ‘disappear’ when they go with integration treatment (good communication between alters, an acceptance of a system, less/no blackouts when switching etc) . If they want to go with final fusion (merging experiences, traits etc), it takes years and years, a lot of work and a readiness to fuse - Steven didn’t look at all ready when he fell off that boat and introducing the third alter and then fusing in the same ep without a chance for the character to breathe would be a weird choice for me. I don't think I'd be mad if they did it as fusing is a valid treatment, I'd just miss Steven and Marc as separate entities, especially with Oscar saying that Steven is autistic so I don't know why they'd do that when the character is so important and unique.
Either way I need 3 - 5 business days to recover excuse me while I return to my sobbing fest

I think he keeps going back to Harrow because since he and Steven are two separate individuals in the duat Marc can’t switch to Steven to protect him when his trauma is triggered and for some reason that office provides some sort of relief. Cause each time Harrow gently guides Marc or Steven back to their memories they tired to run from
Oscar Issac is a phenomenal actor.
I’m gonna say this is probably my favorite of the D+ series and Oscar Isaac it’s killing this role so I’m hoping the series finale isn’t the end of Moon Knight, I am hoping for something in Multiverse of Madness.
So far the rumor is the finale is record breaking time for a D+ series but we’ve heard that for every series so we’ll see.

I perceive that Jake was not only the Mark with the bleeding nose. I also think that he killed all the people at the site got shot while he was Jake and then turned back to mark to then die. If his friend supposedly kill everybody he would not been able to be crawling all the way to a tomb. He would have been shot dead. But if he was in a firefight and got grazed and not able to leave because the car gas tank shot. Then it Would be the reason why he is all shot up and trying to kill himself when he gets to the statue. He felt guilty of what he did and he probably still feels guilty about it to a certain degree. Especially if you did it. None of these things were ever seen because would think they would have needed to let take jale out to have seen his memories as well to paint the full picture
Jake was in the episode, in the first scene with Dr. H, notice the face brushed up and the accent, mark had no face cuts or damage last episode where they come from? then when Mark goes back to the doc his face is normal
