Thanatos is literally single-handedly keeping Zag's father's business alive. Truly a match made in the underworld.
Actually in game they comment he's basically just someone who gives mortals the *ability* to die, which is how it worked in the original myth with sisyphus, as in the original story he's increasingly described as shriveled the longer he stays on earth, and there are stories about ares getting pissed off because no one is dying in battle.
What about charon and hermes?

He's much like Edgeworth in many ways, lmao. Haircut, highkey gay for the main character, vanishes when he's uncomfortable or to make sure he has the last word, etc. It turns out that "Prosecutor Edgeworth chooses death" just means he's working part time as literally death

Fun mythology fact: while Hades is the god of the underworld and the dead, Thanatos is the god of death
Thanatos also got captured (using shackles specifically made to capture this guy) by a guy named Sisyphus and presumably stuffed in his closet
Incidentally, Sisyphus also appears in the game as an unreasonable pleasant NPC, considering how he is described in the mythos
@@TheOnlyRealIRONicMAN To be fair he did fast talk and trick several gods- first Thanatos and later Persephone- Thanatos in order to trick him and uno reverse capture HIM instead of the reverse, and then pulled a trick with his wife not burying him and then sweet talked Persephone into letting him go back and haunt her until he had funeral rites, and instead just hopped back into his body. He was killing his guests for their stuff before all of this, which is why the Olympians sicced Thanatos on him in the first place, but being a smooth operator is very in character. In the end he was only "caught" because he had to die sometime and Hades was fine waiting for the inevitable and punishing him then. That's why he was punished with the boulder, a pointless task, like trying to avoid death, for both failure is inevitable.
The fact that Shen got lucky seeing Thanatos so many times, while I tried so hard to spawn him makes me so sad and happy for her. XDXD

Yea the beams are literally why i won my last 8 runs in a row. And their Duo-Upgrades with Artemis (Mega-Tracking) and Zeus (passive lightning strikes on your crystals) are just so unbelievably strong...
5:30 the reason why you can see his name is because the Codex was Achilles' before he gave it to you.
Note that Thanatos and Zaggy both have faces on their belts so if they were to hug, their belts would kiss
Fun fact Shen: Pretty sure there’s a way for you to get Zagreus and Thanathos to get gay for each other. I don’t know how, but you can do it.
Pretty sure it's just gifting Nectar and later Ambrosia, just like the interactions with most characters. Dusa and Meg are also romance routes.

Fun fact! In greek mythology Zagreus is the son of Persephone and Hades and over time slowly turned into Dionysus

Funny you should mention that. I actually got a scene where Dionysus tells Zagreus to make up something funny to tell Orpheus, and he tells him how he and Dionysus are one and the same.
Zag tries to explain that it's a joke, but Orpheus buys it completely and uses it to write a hymn about Zag.
Wasn't it more like Dionysus was "created" out of Zagreus' heart after he was killed by Titans?

I'm simping for patroclus. I'm so sad he's already taken but if he can live happily with achilles i'm happy too T_T also i'm loosing double since i'm a girl so he won't even look at me. But still awesome character....love him so much.
It is sad how we can't romance many of the other characters, but honestly with so much good stuff the game is giving us we can't complain. An example of the good stuff being our ability to reunite the myrmidon husbands :')

@@SSMp315 RAIL THANATOS AHAHAHA, you have your priorities "straight" my friend, or do you 🤣 Here's the thing though, and I'll try my best not to spoil you: after you escape once, it doesn't end there. The game pretty much becomes endless because there's so much stuff to do, so don't be afraid to move forward with the story! You'll still be able to romance and reunite and unlock even more stuff~Just keep talking to Pat and his name will be unlocked in the codex soon, other than that just keep giving him and Achilles nectar

I love how the game really played with the twins (Thanatos and Hypnos) and made them very opposite from one another. I think it really works well. But also how Hypnos knows how you've died, somehow gives me the vibes that Thanatos has told him how he has died. I think its super cute

You knew who Patroclus was because the codex is written by Achillies. He fills up the codex for you. Minor spoiler, their relationship is complicated that's why the codex says "it's not my place to say"
Also if you know a bit about the Illiad and the story of Troy you already have an idea of what it is. If you are interested in the topic and the way they are depicted in the game "The Song of Achilles" is a great read that I recommend.

Hey Shen here's some tips :
-Theres diferent upgrades for each slot of the mirror theres a icon that you can click in the ui change "cathonic vitaly" to "dark regeneration"
-You can chose what god you get at the start by wearing their respectiv keepsake also you obtain the keepsakes by gifting nectar (yellow bottle thingies)
- If you gift enough nectar to some characters you can romance them by giving them ambrosia
