The realization that the voices of Zagreus and Skelly are done by the same VA (Darren Korb) is just astonishing. And he is not even a Pro VA. He is just the Composer and Music Director. Hades is a masterclass of voice acting.

It's because all the characters are very soft-spoken and the voice actors recorded their lines very close to the microphone. This is what good radio talkers do as well.
*Roguelite Also idk about being the hardest because there's a lot of more niche or obscure roguelikes/roguelites out there that will absolutely kick your face in. There's also the fact that the pacts of punishment beyond 20 is purely optional(25 if your in hell mode) and it's not required to progress through the game while other Roguelikes I've seen are just brutal from the get go.
Hades definitely deserved to win so many awards. So much about it is incredible. And it even revolutionized the rogue-lite genre. This game is how rogue-lites should be done. Also this game is probably the easiest rogue-lite game because it doesn't have a lot of what makes rogues difficult - BS RNG. Most rogues have true random power-ups, which means that the average player (not counting hardcore players and speedrunners), will often end up with powers that won't help them win. And in Hades, even if you don't win, you're still getting stronger and getting more chances for dialogue and story. You don't start from zero in Hades and this makes the game so much more accessible.
And then you learn that the voice actor for both Zagrius and Skelly he's also the music composers for the entire game and sings many of the vocals in those songs

To some extent he breaks both. For a plague god he's affable and kind even if he thinks a new disease is a good gift. He also saved a elven goddess and locked her away in his realm to feed all his new plagues....this sounds bad but she's the goddess of medicine and he knows she's leaking cures for his plagues into the world before the plagues get there because he's also a god of life.

That's super impressive, I never would have placed them as being the same voice actor. Especially considering that, from what I've heard, the actor isn't even a professional voice actor normally, he's mainly composes music for games and only occasionally does voice work.
