I am so happy to watch the streams for this vid.
Cause I'm all like, "eeeeyyy I remember that part".
Hearing her friends talk about REDACTED gave me the biggest shit eating grin as I knew exactly what they were talking about and I could not agree more about how great it would be to see Shen to through it
Shen parried that Black Knight more than I parried in my first runs of DS1 and DS2 combined.
"What did we learn from the Asylum Demon?"
Shen: We were supposed to learn something?
After playing all three DS games this is by far my favorite. Happy to see Shen getting into it!
My dumbass thought you said DS as in Nintendo DS @_@
@@joganesha4151 Don't worry, it got me as well :-)
46:12. Death: 69.
Shen: I don't know the timing.
@@johngreen8344 nice
DS1 remade with the gameplay of DS3 would be a dream come true for me
50:55 The colour commentary had me rolling. Incredible.
14:08 "It's dark souls. Never tell anybody anything"
(Looks back in the video)
Mission failed. We'll get em next time.
It never gets old watching Tarkus solo iron golem
Shen's laugh is so dang contagious
This was such a treat, new to the channel but I love first time experience videos like this (not the other kind).
And even more of a treat to hear JoCat in the background!
I love the little snippets of conversations we hear while Shen is playing
“Next is blight town” my brain shuddered in my skull.
I'm happy to see you enjoyed Tarkus. welcome to the club
I love rewatching these vids now that ive actually played all the souls games. Its twice as funny when you know whats going on, why its going on, and whats about to go wrong in about 4 seconds when she opens that door or walks around that corner lol.
Place your bets:
- John Souls
- John Souls
- Tarkus
Think twice before choosing.

Watching Shen's gameplay brings back all the traumatic memories i have playing dark souls in college. Was so turned off by the game initially, but after playing for a couple of hours "something" clicked and it made me finish the whole game including the dlc..... with 216 deaths under my belt.
Its really entertaining seeing someone suffer through the same levels I’ve seen everyone suffer on.
Not the first playthrough I’ve , but really enjoyed seeing your first experience to Dark Souls.
There is a certain magic watching people play through Soulsborne games for the first time.

46:56 That gnorc sound effect caught me totally off guard lmao. I love your editor.
Okay that edit in the sped up Havel fight made me legitimately happy.
I literally went "this is the most dark souls thing I've ever seen and I love every bit of it"

16:38 - 16:55 i fucking died laughing cus of the sound effects + your wheezing.
as always, the editing of your videos is _beyond_ godtier, shen
Found this channel yesterday watching your Elden Ring content and loved it. Watching this now, John Ring makes alot more sense to me.
Been waiting for this, I keep seeing your post about your dark souls streams and haven't been able to catch them I'm so glad you upload to UA-cam, you are the Best!
"oh no" repeated multiple times is the most dark souls reaction ive ever seen
to see this, shen struggling, mastering the dark souls, and dropping in on the stream a day or so ago on youtube just out of curiosity and seeing her absolutely massacre the final boss of ds3/the twins (didn't see how many attempts it took her for twins, but final boss was one attempt) was fucking amazing. the absolute journey. all endings on ds3.
Absolute legend shen, im so proud of you
Being a souls veteran who's 100% all the games,it's so refreshing to see a new player begin their new journey
Thus continues the legend of Shen's Magic Pixel, which has saved her from death countless times. And also, of John Souls (invader)
10 minutes into Dark Souls I fell off a ruin, got bullied by four skeletons, fell of a cliff and then got bullied by other skeletons so I admire Shenpais tenacity to continue even when the death counter keeps rising into the hundreds lol
Can't wait for part 2. I hope we see John Souls again. Seemed like a pretty chill dude.
Shenpai's distressed "WAAH!" gives me life.
Watching shen play this reminds me a lot of my first time playing the game before I became experienced at the dark souls series lol. It's very rough at first but once you get the hang of it everything comes together and the game becomes super fun :).
After about 5 rewatches, your dark souls videos have turned into my comfort series.
6:52. The Kirby fan boy in me is going crazy when I hear Green Greens.
"Liar ahead"
"Try jumping"
This is so dark souls.
Shen, you've inspired me to take on the Dark Souls stream grind.
I love your pfp
@@andregiannotti1310 Thank you
I started watching this last year and I stopped four minutes in for some reason. I'm glad I came back. My favorite part was when John Souls arrived to guide Shenpai around. So wholesome.
Especially when he turned around and let shen put it in the back.
Milky going PTFFFFFFFFFFF every time shen does something funny gives me positive energy
Shenpai: IS THAT THE RAT KING?!
Me: No, he's in DS2
