As much as I'm hyped to see the last panel. I gotta admit I'm worried that it'll be nothing more than a symbolism of "death" ever so slightly getting a grip on Sukuna (which is why he's seeing dead ppl kinda like an AOT moment) and he feels this growing too, that by every *Jump Kaisen* session that happens he slowly loses his strength. Another take I can get out of this is that Sukuna realizes what Gojo truly meant when he said "Nah I'd win." with the current state of him slowly getting weaker and that Gojo wasn't flat out being arrogant but actually saying that his students were truly the ace up his sleeve. (which obviously highlights to Yuji) Sukuna's own paranoia to this realization playing tricks in his mind as he can't dismiss the man that was truly able to rock his balls for awhile.

I think the airport scene may not have been the actual spirits of Gojos friends. I believe they were representations of how Gojo views himself. We know Gojo doesn't ONLY care about fighting, but that's probably how Gojo viewed himself, and that whole scenario was necessary for him to decide whether he wanted to be revived at all, since Shoko told us that people can reject the healing. If you think about it why would Toji be there? Toji was pivotal in Gojo taking that next step, his experiences with Riko would also align with this. He was never DEAD, he was dying and depending on how he handled confronting himself determined whether he'd be able to come back... Unless Gege is trolling us then i don't fucking know anymore.
I'm hyped for whatever way this Gojo-looking figure is gonna resolve(wether it be a crazy Gojo come back to help seal the deal or maybe a memory of a Heian Era Six eyes user?). But honestly I think it's most likely that this is how Sukuna is coping/processing the idea he might actually die right now, that reality is finally dawning on him now. There are many psychological layers that I think can be glimpsed from this if Sukuna is actually just seeing Gojo but Gojo is actually dead.

Gojo is simply too strong for the story he's in, which is why Gege literally has to delete him from the story for anyone else to get development.

The Gojo we saw at the end of 260 was a shadow created by Megumi. *From a narrative standpoint, Megumi needs to be freed at some point so Yuji can fulfill his goal of saving others. Considering the buruzza duo did nothing but body Sukuna last chapter and Sukuna already played his trump card, Megumi has to come into play relatively soon. *The silhouette of Gojo is black like a shadow, and Megumi can manipulate shadows. *We're still waiting on the completed version of Chimera Shadow Garden, the only incomplete domain of a major character in the series. *Yuji ripped Sukuna's chest open, this could've effectively helped to free or at least partially free Megumi from within him. *Sukuna was trying to redeploy his domain, which might've given Megumi an opportunity to interrupt with his own. So the basic premise of my theory is that Megumi's full domain has the ability to construct illusions of anything using shadows, and that he made a copy of Gojo to "stick it" to Sukuna out of respect for his dead sensei, so that Gojo's will be "the last face Sukuna ever sees", while Yuji, Todo, and Megumi finish him off. Just a fun thought I had where I noticed a bunch of things that kinda line up for a cool twist, and I'd love to be wrong and for it to really be Gojo in the flesh but I don't think the timing is right. I think Gojo is really back. I think to keep from getting killed, Sukuna is going to activate the merger, and then Gojo and the cast will fight that while Sukuna recovers, and after the merger is dealt with, the final, _final_ battle will commence. Sukuna might activate the merger and then Megumi gets pulled out right after, that would be the cherry on top.
If this theory was correct then we would’ve seen a barrier placed. Megumi can’t use an open domain, which is why he needed an enclosed space to use his incomplete domain anyway. Besides, even if Megumi had an open domain, he wouldn’t be able to do anything as Sukuna is the one in control of the body right now. How would Megumi be able to use a domain despite not being in the physical world?
I personally believe that this is Yuta with a pair of newly gained six eyes, and him showing up with said six eyes (and likely leagues better cursed energy control) somewhat fooled Sukuna into believing that Yuta was Gojo

a thing that I noticed: I think Todo was swaping the 3 of them simultaneously, and that was why Sukuna was so confused about boogie woogie, Todo not only can swap 2 duos, he can swap 3 or maybe even more targets simultaneously between then, without having a clear result, something along a mathematical combination, “if we have 3 options in question, we got 3! ways to rearrange them”.
I stay by the "gojo is dead" side. Unless the next chapter starts with the airport scene (unless they cut to hakari's fight) there is no way he is coming back after having all that settled in the airport.
I can see gojo waiting until his domain was regained came in at the most clutch moment when sukuna was going to panic domain expansion and showing up just to mean mug his ass because as soon as sukuna pops that gojo is cancelling it out and yuji gets to just keep going ham on sukuna

There’s a dialogue box in the last page that goes on how Sukuna currently has about as much CE remaining as Yuta’s baseline, and how he can still use his Domain while being burnt out. I think gojo is actually back because he goes to open his Domain right before he sees gojo and that would be GG for out brother duo for sure.
You know what would be messed up? If that was just Gojo's corpse used as a split second distraction, teleported at a strategic moment into the battlefield to freak Sukuna out after they failed to revive him. I know this theory doesn't make much sense but it crossed my mind when I finished the chapter.
The word used do refer Gojo as a Ghost is the same sukuna used to refer to Kashimo. I think is more like “you again/how you are here” thing than a hint to no really being Gojo

It can’t be a lookalike like Kashimo or Uraume, as they are dead or fighting and Sukuna would recognise if it’s Uraume It can’t be Kenjakus brain either as we saw his brain get stabbed by Yuta so it cannot be him taking control of Gojo's corpse. The only explanation is: - teleportation of souls via into Gojos body and Ui Ui technique. - Or it’s SUKUNA hallucination of his end or near end as he tried to open his DE after a flashback of his strongest encounter so far still having effects on his body this late into the manga. Similar to how Nanami soaw a realistic hallucination of Haibara pointing to Yuji, that Mahito could not obviously see, just Nanami as he neared his death. - OR - It could just be Takaba after a long nap doesnt to cosplay or if it was "funny to look like gojo" although I dont see the point of him deciding to come at this time when the fight between Yuji, Todo and Sukuna is reaching its end.. However the phrase "ghost" is used quite lightly and figuratively so it could merely be a hallucination. Or it could be him after..

This is probably just a ghost, because before sukuna saw gojo there is a spark near his eye. I assume it can be some "binding vow" that gojoj did before his death, like "in near death situation for sukuna make him a vision to distract him"
I'm confused how he would come back, as most people say he could give up the 6 eyes or a 6 eye to come back in a binding vow, but to me that doesn't make sense as to make a binding vow u have to give something = to something else, and I don't think anything even the 6 eyes would = returning from the dead, the only that could work is giving someone else's life for your own but then you'd have to make binding vow with that person before hand to make that work, and with the 7 steps north to come back how would that work, it doesn't make sense that anyone can just come back to life that easily, and no im not saying this is an ass pull as I'm sure if gojo does come back gege will give a good explanation, I just want to know how this would work

So I think it's a bit of Sukuna delirium, but it's masking something more. That panel being from Sukuna's POV, and how it focuses on his eyes, I think it's Yuta with Gojo's eyes. Sukuna fixating on the eyes is seeing Gojo, but I think the next chapter is going show that the figure is actually Yuta now with the six eyes.
My guess is that he became a cursed corpse. I can't think of any other callback and principal Gakuganji's only aid was with Utahime's technique (Gege made a point for Yaga to pass on his curse, so I want to see it going full circle.) What I want to know is whether Gojo is a normal corpse or one like Panda. Either way things are getting interesting.

The Gojo we saw at the end of 260 was a shadow created by Megumi.
*From a narrative standpoint, Megumi needs to be freed at some point so Yuji can fulfill his goal of saving others. Considering the buruzza duo did nothing but body Sukuna last chapter and Sukuna already played his trump card, Megumi has to come into play relatively soon.
*The silhouette of Gojo is black like a shadow, and Megumi can manipulate shadows.
*We're still waiting on the completed version of Chimera Shadow Garden, the only incomplete domain of a major character in the series.
*Yuji ripped Sukuna's chest open, this could've effectively helped to free or at least partially free Megumi from within him.
*Sukuna was trying to redeploy his domain, which might've given Megumi an opportunity to interrupt with his own.
So the basic premise of my theory is that Megumi's full domain has the ability to construct illusions of anything using shadows, and that he made a copy of Gojo to "stick it" to Sukuna out of respect for his dead sensei, so that Gojo's will be "the last face Sukuna ever sees", while Yuji, Todo, and Megumi finish him off.
Just a fun thought I had where I noticed a bunch of things that kinda line up for a cool twist, and I'd love to be wrong and for it to really be Gojo in the flesh but I don't think the timing is right. Anyways lmk your thoughts and as always keep up the great work!

I think Gojo is really back. I think to keep from getting killed, Sukuna is going to activate the merger, and then Gojo and the cast will fight that while Sukuna recovers, and after the merger is dealt with, the final, _final_ battle will commence. Sukuna might activate the merger and then Megumi gets pulled out right after, that would be the cherry on top.

If this theory was correct then we would’ve seen a barrier placed. Megumi can’t use an open domain, which is why he needed an enclosed space to use his incomplete domain anyway. Besides, even if Megumi had an open domain, he wouldn’t be able to do anything as Sukuna is the one in control of the body right now. How would Megumi be able to use a domain despite not being in the physical world?

There’s a dialogue box in the last page that goes on how Sukuna currently has about as much CE remaining as Yuta’s baseline, and how he can still use his Domain while being burnt out. I think gojo is actually back because he goes to open his Domain right before he sees gojo and that would be GG for out brother duo for sure.

It can’t be a lookalike like Kashimo or Uraume, as they are dead or fighting and Sukuna would recognise if it’s Uraume
It can’t be Kenjakus brain either as we saw his brain get stabbed by Yuta so it cannot be him taking control of Gojo's corpse.
The only explanation is:
- teleportation of souls via into Gojos body and Ui Ui technique.
- Or it’s SUKUNA hallucination of his end or near end as he tried to open his DE after a flashback of his strongest encounter so far still having effects on his body this late into the manga. Similar to how Nanami soaw a realistic hallucination of Haibara pointing to Yuji, that Mahito could not obviously see, just Nanami as he neared his death.
- OR - It could just be Takaba after a long nap doesnt to cosplay or if it was "funny to look like gojo" although I dont see the point of him deciding to come at this time when the fight between Yuji, Todo and Sukuna is reaching its end..
However the phrase "ghost" is used quite lightly and figuratively so it could merely be a hallucination. Or it could be him after..

I'm confused how he would come back, as most people say he could give up the 6 eyes or a 6 eye to come back in a binding vow, but to me that doesn't make sense as to make a binding vow u have to give something = to something else, and I don't think anything even the 6 eyes would = returning from the dead, the only that could work is giving someone else's life for your own but then you'd have to make binding vow with that person before hand to make that work, and with the 7 steps north to come back how would that work, it doesn't make sense that anyone can just come back to life that easily, and no im not saying this is an ass pull as I'm sure if gojo does come back gege will give a good explanation, I just want to know how this would work

So I think it's a bit of Sukuna delirium, but it's masking something more. That panel being from Sukuna's POV, and how it focuses on his eyes, I think it's Yuta with Gojo's eyes. Sukuna fixating on the eyes is seeing Gojo, but I think the next chapter is going show that the figure is actually Yuta now with the six eyes.

My guess is that he became a cursed corpse. I can't think of any other callback and principal Gakuganji's only aid was with Utahime's technique (Gege made a point for Yaga to pass on his curse, so I want to see it going full circle.)
