What annoys me that they don't get the actual Blue Parrot radar set. I wish Gaijin would give us a purely accurate Gulf War Bucc. Anyway, good video Tim!

Tim said the buccaneer is ugly. This is the second time a huge mistake like this was made, with the first one being when he said that he didn't like the look of the Tornado. This is your second warning and if you judge objectively sexy planes like that again, you will be asked to leave youtube and make some space for the brainrot content that gets views.

annoying of the Martels is that Gaijin hasn't implemented the Man in the Middle controls of the data pod, which allows course corrections or long range shot target aquisitions mid flight, allows you to take advantage of the missile's long range with the "lob and target later" capability.
Yeah, its quite annoying that you still have to consume a pylon with the pod but don't get the actual benefits of it ....

Firebrand is decent… when you compare it to strike planes like the Skyraider. It’s not a fighter if you weigh yourself down with bombs…

@@TimsVarietyI will agree the S1 did not look good, but the S2 I think is auch better looking design with the larger air intakes, and honestly I adore the desert pink camo on the Bucc, looked so tight on it, but that's just me 🤣
With the Bucc S.2B now in WT, it appears to be real Area 88 canyon run hours
(Both in the TV series and Manga, the ravine raid/canyon run was led by Saki's second-in-command: Roundel. He flies a Buccaneer of some variant, possibly a somehow-exported Bucc S.2B)
Did you just call the "booty brake" ugly? 😮 Naaaa, it isn't the prettiest but they have some weird charm for me.
The bucc is beautiful, atleast from the front... But the back isnt ugly, its just different

I have to say, at first I wasn't a fan of the way the Bucc looks either but it really grows on you the more you play it and it's now one of my most played jets, sooo... I really like it, especially the cresent wing (since we don't have the DH Victor in game), I even like the rediculous air brake!
But the flight performance is AMAZING! No other aircraft feels as nippy with a full bomb load. It really comes alive at high-subsonic (over 400kts). You can be mowing the grass at transonic speed, it's amazing!
As far as I can tell, the height of the camera in the cockpit view is too low. The angle you can see down from inside the cockpit does not match the angle you can see the pilot's eye line from the outside. I think the camera should be ~20cm higher but they pit it lower to align parts of the HUD (but irl you would just duck slightly).

It's very Marmite in its looks. I personally think it looks great (totally no bias as my family worked on them) and I dont really understand what's wrong with the airbrake, it's genius imo
Plus I think out of all the RAF aircraft that served in op Granby, the Buccaneer I think looked the best on the desert pink cammo

When I see cool planes like this. I wish for a world where smart missiles were never invented. So that even today, we would relay on dumb bombs, cannon AA and dogfighting with guns. Oh to be a frontline bomber pilot in such a place...

So the Martel decided the SU was a target as it flew infront of it. In before videos of the Martel being used as BVR missle

For the blown flaps system, don’t you have to keep the throttle above 30% for it to be active?
I couldn't tell if the game actually modeled that correctly.
@@TimsVariety if I remember from playing the S.2, it definitely does - there’s been times where I idled the throttle just before landing and it falls out of the sky 😅

For some reason the Martels always seem to miss the target point when I use them. Is this a feature or am I just bad?
With the TV weapons its easy to target a patch of ground instead of an actual object, it just takes practice.
@@TimsVariety Already found out what the problem is. I used "target acquisition (air to the ground)" and "Activate target point" on the same botton befor fiering, this seems to be buggy? It normaly worked for me I thought? Well now I only use the botton to fire the missile, since it does everything automaticly. This seem to work and always hits like it should. Also switching to "target optics" with 2 keys binded is like the view of a laserpod without having one which is a bug too I guess.
Whats your opinion on the mig 23s? Just curious 😊
I think thats more a question of "which *version* of the Mig-23?" , I have reviews up of most of them.

Great content but this is a beatiful aircraft and star of Red flag and maple flag war games in 77/78 to 81. Blue Parrot could pick up ship targets at 240 NM but would also be better if they also made it more realistic when flying low level. The Buccs went to Red flag and Maple flag and none were killed by F-5/15/16s and they tried, ground clutter stops locks and gun kills impossible at 540knts at 20ft due to guns have slight elevation.
Mig 21 fishbed D and F could not catch this plane at Sea Level and Firebar had no chance.
You probably have been asked this before… but… ground review?
Im planning a, singular tense, review of a tank in this format to see how it does. Probably next month.

I don't think the bomb load is that impressive, it's above average, but not that much better than a phantom, and the f111 can take twice it's load.
