Hi friends! I hope you enjoyed the video... Be sure to comment about which card and life hack was your favorite... I am excited to chat with you! :) Here is a link to the full blog post and supply list: bit.ly/2TSpvr9
Hi simon! Brilliant as always! I recently found a tip to re-energize those much-loved stamp kits. You know how there's one you've used so much that there's not much sticking power left? An alcohol wipe on the back of the stamp will clean off the grime, and make it super sticky to acrylic blocks and the plastic package again! 😇
@@shanadorgelo Girl, thank you!!! I have been needing this little bit of info desperately! And while it's a stamp I do enjoy, I've not even been crafting long enough for it to be so well loved for it to have lost its sticky power... so clearly I need a year's supply of these. Just for this one stamp alone. 🤦♀️ But at least now I don't have to suffer the absolute annoyance of this issue. Thanks again! 💞😊
I have spent hours learning and practicing the lessons I have learned from UA-cam. I must say I have learned more watching your videos, then I have on all the others. thank you for taking the time to post all the helpful hints.
Favorite card was the dude! Favorite products is the little dude and knowing that there are several sizes of gel presses. Thanks for another great video, Simon!
Love the quick yellow background you created with the mirror image card, my fav of the two. You give excellent direction and are fun to watch, Simon. TFS!
Simon, oh my goodness, using the Gel Press to mirror image a stamp is brilliant, that’s such a great tip! I love the use of tone on tone & watercoloring with the stencils, great job as usual! Thanks for sharing your time & creativity!!!
Lots of great tips here but I especially enjoyed the shadow for the die. So glad you are in the industry - you have very fresh new designs that are fantastic. TFS.
I’d never seen the reverse image done before, and never seen the gel, it was very interesting. My fav card was the little guy holding the banner, great ideas you are sharing Simon, thank you for your time and inspiration x
Simon! I love how you did the shadow die hack with the Birch Press Thanks - and the rainbow!! I have so many word sentiment dies that I wish I had shadows for. ... this is a great suggestion. Actually I loved all the hacks, but that one was gonna change my life.
Love all of the hacks; creating the shadow for the die cut is brilliant, but I think my favorite is creating the mirror image using the gelli plate. Thank you, Simon!!
Hi Simon, I have been binge watching your videos! Can't believe everything I'm learning from you! Love the reverse image with the gel plate! And stamping with stencils!
i love the ripped edge. You've got a great technique there with the metal ruler and the tearing. Try painting a bead of water down along the ruler first to soften the fibers. Then tear. You can get a straight edge if you want it.
What a great idea for my Gelli Plates! I have several in my supplies. Also, I had to go and order a custom stamp - I really like supporting small family businesses, especially those in my home state of MN (WI and MN rock!). The rainbow shadow die was cool, too. Thanks for the hacks, Simon!
Simon, your ink colors are so vibrant and seem to work so well. My favorite card and tip was the jelly plate card using your stencil as a background. I get a kick out of "Dude, I made you a card!" So proud of another Wisconsinite!!! Yay, you are putting us on the map in the crafting world!
@@simon.hurley . I thinks it's cool that you can use it for stamping now too. When I first got my gel press it was only used for printing. Although it may have been used for stamping and I just didn't know that. But anyway, I love that I've learned a new way of using it.
I have been stamping & card making longer than you've been alive (**ahem**), but I have to tell you how much I LOVE the Life Hack videos. Your ideas really reinvigorated me and upper my card making game. You are such a treasure!!!
Hi Simon... really liked your ideas! I had two favorites...one using Jelli plate to transfer an image in reverse, and creating the colorful background for the word using the die. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Simon for all your inspiration and techniques!!! I loved how you made the shadow/reverse image with the gel plate! I never knew you could do that! And how you made the shadow for the thanks word die! AWESOME!!! Love all your bright colors!!!!! Have a blessed day!
Thanks for sharing the personalized stamp. I will check that out for my site. I really liked the techniques you shared. The Gel press is a great tool to have. I am getting myself one of those also.
Thanks for what u teach us and how amazing u are. I loved the dude card and the cute kid holding the Thanks.. Awesome ideas and great creations. Karidad
Hi Simon, I recently found your videos. And I’m going back and watching your old videos. I especially enjoy your hacks and seeing your finished cards. In this video I really like the shadow you created for the word die. I’m now a subscriber and give you a thumbs up on all your videos. I’m sure you’ll see my comments, if you do I wish you the best for your career and personal life. Patti
Hiya Simon! I have to say that I liked them all. You have given me a few ideas for a few projects I am working on atm that aren't paper related. I think what I love the most about stamps, stencils and just plain "coloring" is that these techniques can be used on any type of surface. Thank you for all that you do, you rock! I do need to get me a gel press asap and talk to the people about personalizing my signature. I hope you have a wonderful weekend =)
Hi Simon, aren’t you a clever young man! I loved all of your tips but my favourite is reversing the stamp using the gel plate. Keep up the great work 👍
Hi Simon! LOVED this video. Ok, my fave was the personalized stamp and (I know I"m supposed to only have one) the shadow trick....mind blown! WOW thanks for sharing
Awesome hacks, Simon! Thanks!! The word die background recommended by Del totally blew my mind 🤯 So cool! I love my gelli plate for so many things! I think ur inks brayered on to the gelli plate will look super cool and brilliant! Thanks again!
Hi Simon...I am really liking these hack videos...my favorite was the ink on the stencil ...it makes for some awesome backgrounds..thanks for sharing..hugs from Canada xx
🤗 Simon your creative card hacks make me smile from👂to👂! The “1000 watt idea bulb” 💡 came on with the use of the gelli plate. I’m looking forward to your next video!!
I really liked the custom stamp idea. I could really get into my own stamps. Also my grand daughter draws anime so one for her would be a good way to expand that.
Great video Simon. I love the use of the gel press for mirroring the images, what a great idea. The other one that I'm sure I'll use is the shadowing using the dies, genius idea. One idea that you might like is that I laminated a couple pieces of white card stock to use as palettes, especially when I'm on the go. The white also gives a true color of what you are using. Thanks for this video full of great ideas and hacks.
Using the gel press for mirror stamping. I've tried clear block stamps & was never satisfied with the results. Another reason to add a gel press to my stash 😆
Wow all the cards sooooo soooo beautiful .. love them all 😊😊wish to hav one card with your signature to treasure in my collection. Loved the custom rubber stamp goin to the description now for the link to get one for myself 😊😊😊thank you sooo much for all the lovely tips.. learning so much from you
Great video. You have really curbed the use of "you guys" and sound so much more professional! Much easier to listen to your comments. I particularly liked the gel press technique. I have tried many ways to produce a mirror stamp image. This looked really crisp and I look forward to trying it.
Hi Simon🙋🏻 I’m home w/a respiratory infection the positive I’m catching up on your videos!! WOW love what you did to make a shadow with the word die!!! Your amazing😊😊😊
My favorite was the "Dude" card. When you added the yellow stars to the background over all the yellow dye, I scrunched up my nose in dislike. But after I saw how you used it with the dude on the card, it looked terrific. I can't wait to give this a try.

Thanks Stuart!
i love the ripped edge. You've got a great technique there with the metal ruler and the tearing. Try painting a bead of water down along the ruler first to soften the fibers. Then tear. You can get a straight edge if you want it.
The gellie block and reaching the die- genius!! Great video,
Thanks Edie!
