As someone who struggles with ADHD the, "out of sight, out of mind" has always left me rolling my eyes at storage "hack videos" that focus on finding cute bins to tuck everything away into. If I don't physically see something, I never end up using it. I really love how much thought and planning went into each storage solution you came up with.
i have ADHD too, but i take a pill that makes me stay focused. The pill also makes me want to do something productive, and i want to clean and organize, or look on amazon
Cassidy I ALSO HAVE the same issue, If i put something down and dear dh covers it w a paper I loose the thought of it. I am no spring chicken either. Wow
ADHD girl here... with an ADHD kid. I totally get what you mean. I crave organization like nobody's business, but struggle with how well the organization hacks work for my needs. I'm gobsmacked with not only how similar JD's storage units are to mine, but how well the hacks will work with those storage units. Love it! :)
Right. I have about 5 Xacto knives that I've bought, placed in a cute storage and then completely forgot about.
I have ADHD too
Your business card album showing your colors and the blending of colors is simply amazing.
I’ve watched this video at least 3 times now. You’re a talented and special lady. Wish you were still making videos!
Your organization video is one of, if not the best that I have seen so far. You’re organized, easy to understand, have clear and corresponding photos, and you DON’T ramble! And you have excellent ideas 💡 that are not necessarily “craft only” to find!
Great ideas and great video! New subscriber here 💜
Thank you for the kind words!
I love crafty people who are CRAFTY. Thanks for the video.
I have decided I'm a collector not a craft horder 😄💖
same.
Aren't we all? It's really easy to get into by accident.
Yes I'm going with that too. Hehe
Once you start displaying something it becomes a collection. Put some labels on things and it looks Legit.
Last year I saw a video where this woman stated right up front "I enjoy the acquisition, design and organization I do for my supplies more, so I have stopped crafting and just organize".
Love everything I am collecting items now. I am 69 and hopefully have a craft room before I die.
Such great ideas!!! I just keep watching over and over again!!!
Wow! This is one of the most usable craft room organization videos that I have watched! Thanks for so many great ideas!
Thank you for your kind words!
Ann Taft, I agree, this one I can actually use the ideas❣
Clutterfairyusinghairbands
Great ideas and well organized presentation! As a retired educator, I am always so happy to hear how my fellow art community is including their children in their exploration of the creative process. Children learn by watching and DOING. The way you have their supplies organized and accessible right next to your materials, tells your children that they are equal partners in the creative process and that you value their art. 👍🏼😊
So happy for you! This video has hit the 1 million views mark! It’s one of the first ones of yours that I watched. 😃
Hi JD. I can't believe the timing of finding this video. I am in the midst of reorganizing my craft room because having moved to a smaller house, the craft room is also much smaller and has just not been working for me. I took note of the "out of sight out of mind" mantra. I will be moving a lot of my supplies to more open storage so that I will see them and actually use them. Great video. Thanks so much. 😊
I loved your kid's corner. My oldest grandchild will be 18 next month. She has had access to anything in the secretary since she could reach the board that lowers to make the desk. She and her brother used to head straight there when they came over. The giant set of colored pencils sits out on a book shelf to this day. Most recently I used it to graph out a pattern for an afghan. My granddaughter earned a scholarship to study fine arts in college. So glad I could encourage her passion. You have given me several good ideas for my sewing room. Thanks!
what a wonderful story, thanks for watching!
Hello JD, I found your craft hacks clever. I already do some of those hacks myself. I find if your supplies aren't accessible and organized they get neglected. Out of sight out of mind. Have a beautiful day!
I love that you have designated a spot for the kids! I often craft with grandchildren, so I have incorporated space for their supplies in my craft room, and they know what they can use anytime, as well as those things they need to ask Grandma about. It's great!
OMG I thing you changed my life, I love the idea of the make up drawers, I already have and dont really use. I love how your store your paints and glitter as well. EVERYTHING!!! thank you!!
Video is well done & your storage tips are great. I'm one who isn't able to afford IKEA or ready-made storage systems, so I used several of your tips, but made some of the storage units, just covered them with scrap fabric or scrap paper. Thank you for this video and I'm sure it helped many.
I love the essential oils container.....gonna get some of those
Me too
Where did she get it from im in Tasmania Australia
The Dollar Tree has clear one drawer plastic containers -they are small but just the right size for a lot of little things and you can stack/glue them together.
I have been looking for a way to wrangle my blending tools. I love the way you used the essential oil holder. Great idea!
Going to use those paper towel holder for ribbon. Great idea.
FINALLY!! Someone with affordable solutions. Thank you so much! This video has been very helpful. New subbie here.
As a crafter I would think there would be more DIY/recycling storage solutions. That's what I use, but then I'm not a good consumer.
I loved all the organization ideas and I am sharing with my friends! It's so important to have all your supplies organized and visually available, as well as pleasing to the eye! Thanks for all the ideas! My favorite was your organization with the business cards. I have so many old business cards and knew I could use then for something! I don't have as many mini inkers as you do.. but it is growing! I am also expanding into many types of paper crafting and learning blending ideas with my stamps! I LOVE the way your ink pads are all organized in your ikea dresser as well as in your swatch book! Brava! I just moved and have been unpacking and trying to organize everything! Your tips are really helpful! Thank you so much!!
I loved the family craft corner. My little one is so curious. I hate tell her no. So having a place she knows she can grab from will be great.
I am just in the process of designing and planning out storage for an up coming conversion room into my craft room. My fiancé is building it out for me from scratch and I am loving all the videos I stumble upon. I am definitely taking a lot of your storage tips and using them as I am so OCD and have WAY too many hobbies and craft supplies 😁
Love the removable labels by Avery idea, especially for masking.
I have everything to make the binder/business card color swatch at a glance. Brilliant!!!!!!!
JD, honestly, I got up this morning and typically did not feel well, but then I heard your kind and charming voice and it helps to distract me from the discomfort. So THANK YOU for helping to make life worth living. And for keeping all my craft horde/collection (!) looking sane and pretty!
Thank you so much for actually giving new, helpful ideas. It's so nice to see some really helpful, yet still nice looking hacks that aren't the same old tips!
Just a hint. I use velco placed 1" apart across my shelves and the other part on the bottom of each organizer. That way you can arrange all the different pieces where you want and chage them as needed. Now, no more sliding organizers! Love your ideas!
JD - you are a genius!!! You have a clean and calm sense of organization as well as an obvious love of the process of collecting, housing and using your materials. I look forward to watching and rewatching your tutorials until I am myself educated in the habits of the well-organized artist. I have a great many THINGS....I know where they all are but the sheer volume of the mosaics and brushes and many varied pots of embossing powder, tubes of acrylic paint and various mediums, substrates, epoxies, letter tiles, LOTS of paper and interesting types of paper and interesting things done with the paper (I do a lot of repurposing paper into crazy unexpected things), stamps, ink pads, stencils., rulers, cutting mats, book binding gear, a box of encaustic material ready to be used but NO ROOM to lay it out and work and learn and it goes on and on.........I LOVE AND ADORE the stuff I've collected over the past 15 or so years but I have NO clear/empty table space left at this point. None. So, many many thanks for your Organization Tutorials: I will hopefully be able to clear off enough enough counter space/table top space so I can get back to work. Be well and be safe. And Thank You! Caroline
I loved All of your storage hacks J.D! Especially the shoe storage option for your kids' art materials! Oh! Just about all of your storage ideas! I am definitely saving this video in my phone for when I buy my forever home by the sea 🌊 TYSMFS J.D! ❤😘🌹
Kitchen roll holder for tapes beyond clever, my favourite I think so far
A tip for your tape holder....remove the metal cutter off a box of aluminum foil. Hot glue it to the other tine of your tape holder. Instant tape cutter at $0.00 cost!
Awesome idea! tearing can be so destructive and I always end up with more than I need. Or a long skinny useless strip. This is perfection, especially since I just finished a roll of saran wrap with an evil cutting edge that is just right. Thanks.
amazing idea!
I dont get what you mean ? tine ?
Great idea I will try that as soon as my toddlers are a little grown my cr at the desk is in the living room.
Tine is a sticky up or out bit, like the tines of a fork, so, the sticking up piece on the outside edge of the paper towel holder. That's actually brilliant. I must try that on my old beaten up towel stand that I replaced but didn't want to throw away. 😉
I swear i get my craft room messy on purpose at times just so i can organize again an again cause it calms me down an inspires me when i see some of my stuff then i put it in a pile an i always come back to this vid all the time I’m at the ER atm cause of health issues thanks JD for helping me calm down like always
SIMPLY LOVED YOUR IDEAS. I especially like the pot to organize paper.
Absolutely loved the idea for your blending swatches and the blending tool tray!!! It's amazing how you can use things that are supposed to be for something else! The joys of being a crafter and thinking outside the box! Thank you for sharing!
Great ideas and presented in such a professional and easy-to-listen-to manner. I subscribed immediately. I can't stand to listen to most youtubers and everything about this video is a breath of fresh air. Good job!!!
I agree also. Some you tubers may have good content but it rakes them forever to get it out & when they do it’s in a very irritating voice that’s so hard to listen to. There’s one particular You Tuber who is on a design team so she gets crazy amounts of product & then keeps using the same phrases over & over until you start counting them instead of listening to what’s she’s talking about. What a waste of my time. She also uses the same words likely “absolutely “ and “adorable” and “gorgeous “. Has no vocabulary at all. Some viewers have pointed all that to her. She apologizes but keeps doing it. I want to pull my hair out ( & hers, too!! ) Geez. You’re great, JD. keep it up. Love you & l never miss your videos. Hugs.🤗🤗🤗👍❤️❤️❤️😊😊
@@katherinehaught7950 I've been watching craft organization videos for the past 2 weeks & your video was, hands down, the best! Most informative, no fluff, straight to the point with a bit of humor (love the batman pen, lol). I'm definitely a new satisfied subscriber. Thank you for posting your videos! What a breath of fresh air! 👍😊
JD you are the Bomb - I do love your videos! Plus, you make it easy to learn and actually replicate! Thank you!
I see this is not a very recent video, but I really just wanted to leave a comment anyway.
I’m just getting started in organizing my craft space. It really going to be in a corner of a room that is not used very much. Which also means not a lot of space. There were so many incredible ideas! I also didn’t know that Harbor Freight has such affordable prices and so much of a selection. I’m so glad that I was able to just come upon your ideas. Thank you for your time 🌼🦋
I need that drawer set you had the glitter (& other things in) I literally have my entire family room floor covered right now, reorganizing everything and I need that right now!
I like that also and the storeage for the mini ink pads. Which I think were IKEA. Right now all my glitter is and has been in a 3 drawer system. And in a closet in my studio. I also like the drawer cabinet because it isn’t too deep. I do love IKEA. I just wish I lived closer to one.
@@carlileshea those are Totally Tiffany, and can be found online, or I bought my (cough 5 sets cough) at Joanns
I'm an eclectic crafter who also likes to buy in complete sets but I have too many interests to do that and I only do crafts for myself and for gifts. My husband and I are both disabled so I have a very limited budget for crafting. I'd love a crafting station but for now I have things in card board boxes all mixed together and use microwave cart to work on!
Jackie, I hear ya! But listen, my husband I frequent Thrift stores for quirky stuff, and I always see those plastic drawer units from time to time. I found one that looked like it hadn't have been used. While I remove the wheels because of how I set up my storage, if they still have their wheels, you can move them around when you're using your cart.
That reveal sparkly sound effect is hilarious. Cool video!
I have a collection of crystal vases. They are great for holding all kinds of art supplies, plus I get to show they off in my fireplace hearth, in my art room.
I have a lot of craft supplies for all kinds of crafts but I am very cheap when it comes to my storage (if I spend money on storage containers I cant spend money on craft supplies.) This is just one of the things I use in my craft room: for my pens I have found that the rolls that vinyl comes in are great. I cut them to size then hot glued them together for a stand up pen holder. I also use empty mayo containers for pens. I cut them past the neck till it is more tube like run a sand paper over the edge then put the pens in, they keep the different kinds of pens separate and they are in the house any way already paid for. I also use a lot of clear plastic jars for small things. and for shelves I bought cinder blocks and wood for that.
Me too! Recycles every kind of container… mushroom cartons, cut down any squares container such as alcohol bottles etc. when I cut down a container, in a well ventilated space, I heat a stove eye or my crafting fondue pot (removeable pot and separate heating surface) turn the container upside down and hold to the surface a few seconds to smooth the edge and make it level. I like repurposing! If my room liked as nice as some on line I wouldn’t want to mess it up…lol
I love the business card ink swatches! I might give it go for myself.
Like the blending tool organizer. And the color swatches inside the binder. Smart!
I just wanna go LIVE in JD's Craft room .....totally awesome
Very nice video. I've been trying to organize my craft room which includes cardmaking, cake decorating and sometimes sewing crafts. I definitely will incorporate some of your ideas to help me keep it all separate.
This was such a FANTASTIC video! I LOVE the idea of using the bakeware organizer. I absolutely need to try that. But honestly, this whole video had wonderful ideas. Thank you so much for sharing them.
Alison Heikkila , my bake ware organizers are file folder racks! Much less $. Work great! They can be screwed down in the cupboard but mine just sit there. All my cookie sheets, pizza pans and jelly roll pans are right there. I also added the large cutting boards.
Hi, I just wanted to leave a note to say that Walmart has those 10x6x5 DVD holders in stock online and they are only $9.99 each, so you can buy 4 for 1/2 the price of the ones on Amazon ($62 for 4 unless you want to signup for Amazon Prime for $25) and they are identical!! And they qualify for free shipping IF you don't mind a little wait. Got mine in about a week! I love jd's channel and this will be the 3rd of her hacks I will be implementing today! You go girl!!! You got me, jd! :o)
The paper towel holder for tape is really clever.
Ok.. I’m still kicking myself for not seeing this video like 3 weeks ago.. ugh!!!!.. I just spent $75 on an ink organizer that holds 24 pads. Loser! 🤦🏻♀️
I think the essential oil holder is my fave, but I think I’m gonna have to re-reorganize my craft supplies and use just about everything you presented on this video. Super great ideas.. all of them. Thanks so much for saving me before I bought one of those whole craft wall units!
I store my mini inks in a 4x6 photo boxes, 12 fit in each. I have all boxes in the carrier case the boxes come in.
Great ideas! I like the planter pot for pencils and pens but I really think the paper towel holder is creative for the tape rolls!
I absolutely LOVE the tape roll organizer from the paper towel holder! I've got a few of them from Dollar Tree.
Came across your site accidentially and after watching video, I immediately subscribed. Thanks for the great ideas. Looking forward to others.
I use my bakeware organiser for paper pads too, easy to find what I want!!
Wow! This is so cool to have watched! I LOVE making uses of things people wouldn't think to use for something but you make it look SO pretty. Will definitely hit up IKEA for ideas. Thank you!
The kitchen baking rack is brilliant! I have several mistys, several very large size rolls of foam, black, white, 1/4, 1/8, etc..thank you!
Try adding some rice to your pencil pot holders. They make the markers and pencils stand upright. You can even stand them upright by color - lol!
wow you just made a great idea even better thanks
I once had ants attack my rice so I turned to dry beans as a substitute. I also use beans to separate a set of dental type tools that I purchased on Amazon. These tools are perfect for not only clay application, but I use them to create texture in my paint, poke out paper pieces from detailed metal dies, along with picking up small jewels, and seed beads. Their uses are endless. In fact, I had to purchase my husband a set for his tool/wood workshop when several of my tools went ‘missing’. LOL
I use clear acrylic organizers to store my paint brushes and tools in. I bought plastic beads from Hobby Lobby to fill them and help my brushes and tools stand up. I found them in the floral arrangement department. They're not only functional but more attractive than rice or beans as another person mentioned. And no chance of attracting bugs.
Great idea
I use the little glass stones that are for vase fillers. You can get them at Dollar tree. Easy to remove and wash when they collect dust and not likely to attract bugs.
Thank you for this video. I have 15 12x12 draws full of crafting materials which is all mixed up so your ideas will come very useful. Thanks again.
Hi, I am a craft horder because I am so unorganised, but your tips are brilliant, One day I shall clear out my craft room and use some of your ideas so that I can enjoy crafting again. Regards Rita
Haven't been in a Dollar Tree for years. Now planning a trip. Thanks
I love your ideas!!!! Plus, it cracks me up when you say things like, “I’ll link to that....somewhere.” I love it when UA-cam crafters aren’t perfect. I’m not! New Subscriber!!!
here, here!
Good tips. Only thing I would change is how you store your markers. Those double nib markers should be stored horizontally. Or that is at least how I was told to store those in my local crafting store.
This is true! Any double sided markers should be stored horizontally because that keeps them from drying out on one side.
Yeah, I was all good until I saw the Tombow's at the end... Made me cringe knowing how expensive all those pens are...
I have to agree. Horizontal storage is best for both alcohol and water based markers. Thank you for the tips. Very clever!
Rozalynn Carli
@@nfckitten omg you would gasp, cringe, then gasp again seeing my markers and stupid thing is I have yet to craft 1 time. I'm a idiot
The essential oils tray, and the business cards were my favorite. Great Ideas. I don't do the paper crafts, but my son's gf does, so I will share this with her, I am sure she will find some useful ideas. Thanks for sharing. I may get into the paper crafts someday, though, it looks like it is so much fun.
Clever and handy
Really appreciate your time and sweet cuteness
another handy item … for ribbons, install a metal shoe rack on the inside of your door. Get a bunch of wooden rods. Make an S shape out of a large paper clip and place two at the ends of each metal row. Hang the wooden dowels between the paper clips. Two dowels will take up the row for one pair of shoes. (I have 13 rows full of spools of ribbon!)
Marilyn Baziak post a pic sounds like a neat idea.
Yes Please post a pic.......
Wow, I've only finished "swatching" my stamping inks and now I see your system ... I especcially like having the "second generation" right there on the swatch. Might have to do it again.
Also, even though it may not be very original to store acrylic blocks in small drawers instead of one large drawer, it got me going - because I realised I had a small drawer thingy sitting there empty that would make a nice change to my block storage in a box! Done.
I think I like the makeup organizer tip best. I shop thrift shops often & always look for organizer containers. I have been looking for an idea to organize my markers on their side. With easy access so I can grab a specific color to use on a card quickly. Great ideas.
All of these are my favorites! Love clear storage. Doing these immediately. Thanks for keeping me organized.
Great ideas! I’m all about access because for me it’s “out of sight, out of mind “!🙃❤️
I’m totally the same!
Out of sight, out of mind is a problem I have to deal with as well. 🙈😵 Commiserating...

All of the craft room organization videos I've watched seem to be from crafters who apparently make cards, etc. for a living, and have MASSIVE amounts of every category of craft items! I'm small time, I don't have room (or budget) to have that many crafting supplies, but I still manage to find my very eclectic assortment of crafts (from painting ceramics, to woodburning, to stamping, to scrapbooking, and beyond!), in a tangle.
I like your basic ideas, and I may be able to finagle some of them. I can probably make a storage box from thin plywood, as well as a tray. ;-) (Yes, I dabble in woodworking, too!) For me, the ink blending tools, I think I'd store them handles DOWN, so I could readily see what color they were used with! ;-)
Cheers!
Like you I don't do crafting as a business, but I have collected quite a bit, and needing lots of storage was expensive. So my solution was, since everything is out in the open to make it easy on the eye and pocketbook I looked around for all sizes of cardboard boxes, and went to my local fabric store and got some fabric on sale and covered all the boxes, using a glue gun and a bit of trim, I also made dividers out of cardboard and covered them,.then stored my glues, stickles etc. They turned out great and look great and now everything has a nice home, die, stamp sets, washi tape ribbon and embellishments. etc.
I'm glad to finally see another crafter who does crafting just for yourself and maybe for gifts. I'm also an eclectic crafter. I sew, crochet, make all holidays decorations for my tree and to set around. I'd like to make wreaths eventually with the mesh. I love watching UA-cam how to videos especially Dollar Tree videos.
DzyMsLizzy as far as ink blending tools, do you really use more than 4 or 5 at a time? You only need that many handles as the foams fit perfectly in the bottom of most of the mini inkers! Just sit right in there, grab a handle and the ink, and it’s all there! I’ve got foams under all my minis and I own 6 handles. Once I start a project, I’ve never had to switch foams!
I have no where near the amount of stuff these crafters do. But I like this video because her storage bins are great and I can get similar at the Dollar Tree. The nearest IKEA is 5 hrs away for me. Plus my craft room is also my sewing room. It's only 10'x11'.
DzyMsLizzy I have that many supplies and I do not make cards for a living. I really don’t think anyone can. They take too long to make to really earn any serious money. We just collect over a long time and don’t purge often.
Thank you JD, this is wonderful! I so appreciate your practical suggestions and the kind and caring way you present them. And you’ve got your UA-cam links very well connected to Amazon, etc., so that we can come right back to your UA-cam links, which is beyond helpful.Your fun sense of humor peeks through as well. Thank you again!🥰
So glad that I found your video, I appreciated watching all the useful tips that you had to share.
Lots of good tips here which I can use for myself and my clients, but my favorite was the paper towel holder for the tapes!
Daiso has them for only $1.50;
If you have a Dollar Tree. They have some amazing paper towel holders right now. Super sturdy.
I love them all but my favorite was the last one because that's exactly what i came on yt looking for my color pencils...U know when U think it's all together omg! I just recently purchased some $1 clear medium sized makeup bags with handles to store markers pencils and fine liners...tfs
Just an idea that has worked really well for me, if you end up using flower pots would be to consider a plant stand. That's what I've used for years. It's great because it easily accessible but doesn't take up room on your work surface. You can move it around and if you have other pots with with different tools you can swap out pots based on what you need.
JD this is really the BEST craft room organization video I have seen! So simple and not very expensive. Some of this stuff I can get locally others will order but so excited to now get the craft space organized! Thank you so much!
The essential oils holder is brilliant!! 😊
Thank you for sharing. Great ideas. I tend to think outside the box. I don't limit my organization to just the craft area of a store. I sometimes look in the kitchen section or even, as crazy as it seems, the sporting goods area. Fishing and camping areas can sometimes have exactly what I need that might not have been in the craft section. 😊
Becca Wildel me too!! Even the tool area. All departments have some sort of organization you just need to be creative in using it your way.
And if you love pops of color... the fishing area is the place to go.
This is so true. Sometimes you can even find very similar items in other departments that are half the price of something in the craft department. For example, have you priced those boxes ofen used for beads and small items? The ones with the small dividers to make little compartments. If they are sold for beads, the cost is nearly double the price of one sold for fihing tackle. I always try to look in many different depts. of a store.
Love this so much. Would love more details on how to use those labels to make ink swatches (for the CP inks I saw in your video). I have a cutting machine (cricut)
I love it! Could watch craft organizing videos all day! Might have to try a few of these. Thank you!
Love every one of them for my sewing/craft/card making room. Thank you so much.
I need to steel the swatches on a card idea! So clever! 👍
One idea I always wanted to try on my punches, but have not got around to it yet...... Go to your paint store (hardware store-paint department) get some paint samples (Squares). Use your Punch and do the same thing as you would with the business card idea, but for your punches.
Some I haven't heard of, some I have, but I love the business card 3-ring ink index! What a great way to keep them safe and yet totally visible. I've messed up ink pad indexes before which is heartbreaking after hours of work. This project is now on my list... after 20 years I'm about to index my wood mounted stamps! An additional storage idea are clear lipstick and nail polish holders with little compartments -- mine is stairstep style and holds my Big Brush Pitt pens and my Stickles. Also, different pens and markers are best stored in different ways -- check directly with the manufacturer since some are flat, while are some point down or up which means everyone is confused! Your pens and markers will last a whole lot longer if you store them to factory specifications.
excellent tips and suggestions, thanks!
Wow! The key to storage is being able to see the item..then you will use it more. My study is just that, if I want to craft, I have to study where I put the item last. And then, squeeze out enough room to work on a project. I do jewelry in the kitchen, alcohol inks in the the study room, anything with a drill on the back porch. Lots of great ideas and will be definitely will be following up on your suggestions, thank you!
Wow great ideas! Loved the kitchen rack for paper cutters and the paper towel holder!
I have been watching a ton of craft room and organizational videos and yours has been the most helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
It’s an absolute pleasure to make videos like this when I receive comments as wonderful as yours 😁
Every time you say “It’s me, JD.” I say out loud, “Hi, JD.” Like it’s still a surprise! 😂
I think this is one of my favorite storage videos I've seen! I just moved my craft space to an open area in my home and I'm working on better organizing things but also making it aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I think my fav item in this video is the essential oil holder for my blending tools. I didn't think of that and just found one on Amazon that is a stadium one with a small drawer on the bottom that I'll put my acrylic blocks in. I've now subscribed, thank you!
I liked them all as I am just getting ready to have a craft room, Decided to start out with things I have and change as I grow.
This video is packed with such great ideas and tips. Thank you for sharing!
Maybe I’m weird lol, but I’d be really interested to watch you do some of the ink swatching that you showed in this video. Like the process for how you make new cards for your binder, and make labels for your ink blenders when you get new inks. I’m a new subscriber so I’ll have to go check out your other videos to see if that’s something you may have touched on before.
I haven't made a video like that before but it's a great idea! thanks for watching
I agree...I would like to see the full process of swatching. It seems like I do it a different way every time...unable to find a consistent process I like.
There were great ideas I will use but I caution marker storage to be kept horizontal for storing at all times.
@@mist4926 Most artists keep their markers and pens at a horizontal position to keep the ink flow evenly distributed, but mainly if they're double-sided. Like Tombow and Copic markers. If your pens or markers have only one side, pointing them downwards shouldn't be an issue 😊
I bought that exact organizer for my trimmers, small craft mat, clipboard, envelope maker, and stamping tools. It's brilliant!
I have watched a LOT of organizing videos, but I love your ideas. The bakers rack and the paper towel holder - so simple but so effective. Now I just need a bigger space!! Thanks so much for the video.
I just love the Ink Swatch Binder idea. I live in a tiny one bedroom apartment with my PC Gaming Guru of a Hubby and, well, my crafting supplies have taken over three rooms and two of our closets {Ahem, Errrm, Not a hoarder, just no organizing containers, but I am working on that.:)). When ghetto SSI Benefit poor, ya gotta get creative eh? Thank you so much for making this video. Quite a few helpful things for me :)
Full set syndrome.... Yup. Is there a 30 day chip for that? I don't believe in that saying "You can always go back and buy more." That is a lie! LOL I have to buy it all. Thanks for the good video.
so true!
@Jan Asher 😄I don't think I would make it the 30 days. 😱🤣
Tim Holtz p’s suggestion is that you can store the foam from the ink blender tool on the bottom of the ink pad. That makes the correct foam readily available for use with the ink.
As I have told my husband, if you see something you like and you don’t buy it when you see it, it could sell out and not be available later. I have had this happen
@@jeantaylor2308That's what I do. All my foam is stored on the bottom of each Distress Ink pad. Ready to use whenever I need it. I think i only have three handles.
I love all these ideas!! Thank you so much!!!! You also do an amazing job explaining each one.
I think using what you have in the kitchen is a great idea like the one you used for your stamps xxx thank you for your ideas x
