What an honest, detailed and informative review of the BMW. Thank you for your hard work and effort sir. This review is testament to the fact that you dont need loud music and crazy visual effects to make great content. Simplicity does the job as well. Keep it up👍
Great review ..so simple , loaded with valuable information and no disturbances of music or other distractions..no words ..I am in love with this way of explanation. Cool ..
Had my G310R for a couple of weeks and am absolutely stoked with it. I'm not the smallest of guys but the bike goes pretty well with me on board. Agree with the comment about the rear brake lever. Too far inboard and definitely too far below the foot peg. After my first ride, I invested in an after market riser pad which works well and feels a lot better. The only other real gripe I had with the bike was the lack of real estate to fit some spools on the swing arm. I do most of my own repairs and maintenance so this would have been a great feature. I want to add a Yoshimura tail tidy too but that's just my personal choice. Not that keen on the BMW fender being stuck out like it is. Anyhow, thanks for the review.
I love this bike, just got a 2023 back in November. However, there seem to be more manufacturer defects in the newer models. My battery was faulty from the factory, and the bike was in the shop after 70mi. Now I am having a cold start issue, which appears to be caused by issues with the e-throttle and ECU. Another warranty issue, another month in a shop. I've only had it for less than a year and it's going to spend 3mos (total since Nov '22) in a dealership service department. I don't believe I'm one of many, but this has certainly put me off buying another BMW motorcycle.

You made a very incredible review on this bike. I really thank you for that, because there are always people that don't stop with "TVS Apache" thing. I had one, but it got stolen in a red light. The perfect bike for a beginner like me. The only thing that annoyed me a little bit was the fact that the vibrations are too many in high revs, especially for the passenger. Maybe that was my fault, though, because I didn't adjust my suspension. Thank you very much. I subscribed already and I'm going to start more videos of you.
What a great critique sir.....everything a prospective purchaser needs to know........I bought one and my thoughts mirror yours exactly.............well done !.
If only all vehicle reviews were as good as this, not my kind of motorcycle, (I am a Vincent man), but this looks a very well thought out design, the electronic brain is something we have to live with now unfortunately, but it all looks very well put together. A lot different to the Indian Enfield! Many thanks for posting this ! Chris B.
D3: Not sure what the situation is where you are, but the Indian Enfield cannot be registered in France, although I have seen them here so there must be some way around it.
Nice review, interesting comments from a "Vincent Man".. I prefer my Broughs. Full disclosure I have owned 53 bikes to include 14 BMW models from 1965 to 1990. I also am considering the Enfield. More full disclosure.. Former employee ( mid management) of BMW of No America.
Thanks and indeed a great bike , I have meanwhile 8K Km on it ... no problems whatsoever. the only thing that I would like to get changes is the vibrations at 6-8K rpm
I've been looking around at smaller maneuverable excellent value machines. I've had some bigger bikes in the past... But I want a slightly bigger commuter to replace my Suzuki Gixxer 150... which my young son will now learn to ride on. I am very impressed with this bike as you have reviewed it. I have watched a clip about testing for engine particle contaminants. BMW came in second behind (would you believe) Royal Enfield. This quality together with your appraisal has settled it in my mind. I'm going to buy one of these in the next month or two. Thank you for such a thorough review. I am delighted with the sense of confidence you have given me concerning the quality of this bike. I will watch part 2... But I am already impressed. Thank you for sharing the knowledge.
Really Appreciated Review of G310R one of the most Crystal Clear Review of the BMW Bike ... can you please do the same review of Updated G310R 2020 Version ?
Sir, i must say you simply nailed it!!fantastic review !this is how a detailed review should be. I was eagerly waiting for someone to do this content. No doubt it is a genuine bmw product. There is another bike called rr 310 shares the same powertrain, same frame, electricals, suspension system, braking system, switches, even the tools inside the tool box is the same in that bike also. The only difference is the looks and tuning of the ecu.rr 310 is a sports bike. G310r, g310gs, and rr310 are genuine products of bmw. I think you should compare rr 310 in the 2nd part, it would be a very good clarification or an answer for few people who still believes these bike are not from bmw.
Sir that is a great video. I have the 310gs and wanted to know more about DIY stuff like chain adjustment, rear suspension preload adjustment etc. Please make more videos. Greetings from India.
Hi VIVEK, don’t know if you have already done your adjustments. But if not, then fear not. I did both of preload and the chain adjustment by following the instructions in the owner’s manual, and using the tools that came supplied with the bike. The took kit description is on page 66 of my owner’s manual. For chain adjustment, you will need tool number 1 (13mm), 5 (box wrench) and 6 (extension) to extend the leverage of box wrench. Or, you could use a large crescent wrench or a 27mm socket. One word of caution: when you make adjustment to the adjusting screw (#4 on page 87), a tiny turn will loosen/tighten the chain by a lot. For preload, use tool number 3 (hook wrench), and again 6 (extension) to extend the leverage. My preload was already set for one rider when purchased, so I could only turn one direction (forgot which direction). If you are really forcing it and the ring won’t turn, then turn the other direction. It does not take too much effort to turn the ring as long as you attach the extension to the hook wrench. The ring has about 10 clicks of adjustment.
I've got a G310R that I bought new in 2019 and am now coming to the end of the 3-year warranty and would now like to take-on simple maintenance i.e. oil and filter changes but using an OBD2 could I remove the unwanted servicing notices in the instrument binnacle and secondly does the OBD2 need to be a 'dedicated' BMW motorcycle one or a 'generic' 'off the net' one do ?. Thank you Shooter.
I really don’t understand why people get so hung up about where in the world a bike is built? You don’t get this with cars or white goods for example. It looks as well built as anything else in the world and a lot of the ancillary parts such as switch gear and mirrors are standard fit across the BMW range. Bottom line is BMW are not going to risk their reputation on producing a poor quality item. I noticed when you rode in that your feet are not flat on the floor, I’m 5’ 5" so without knowing how tall you are would you say it felt a stretch to sit on? I am aware there is a short seat and even a short rear shock from RallyRaid in the UK if needed, so it’s not an unsolvable problem for me. Regarding the brake pedal, I’ve seen another post where the owner has fitted a nice looking extender, so they are available. Great review by the way 👍🏻
BMW M3 S65B40 indeed that is a bargain. This one came for 4500 with small features fitted. Like the motor protection bar, windscreem, large standfoot. And radiator protection. And most of all 3 years premium warranty. I can only say well done BMW. Great city bike and daily commuter
Indeed, It is a very affordable bike from BMW ($5400 USD) but with the same engine TVS launched a sports bike RR 310 (a collaboration with BMW) costs only ($3800 USD). Also Benelli, KTM and other bikes comes with better specification for this price. But I am going to buy BMW anyway, just because it is BMW. And this is a very nice video.👍🏼
Coming back from a ride today on wet roads, very disappointed at the poor protection offered by the minimal rear mudguarding (if you can call it that). My back was soaked and covered with road dirt as was the entire rear of the machine. Alternative aftermarket larger mudguards are available but all appear to have a 'cut-out' at the front end which would allow this water and dirt to be thrown over the suspension unit. OEM unit inadequate and A/M replacements poorly designed. A great bike otherwise.
Greetings from india.. Thanks a lot for a great review.... This is how a review should be done.. Every auto review media should learn from this.. Talking about the material quality is the best from your part.. again a lot thanks for not using a bgm.. Eventhough g310 comes under 300 cc segment and seems to be less expensive, it costs 3.5 lac INR on road which is still expensive for an ordinary man in india.
Thanks but... at 14:20 you say that the seat height is 87 cm while in fact it's only 78.5 cm on the G310R. It's the BMW G310GS that has a seat height of 83.5 cm ! Remember that, in India, the average men's "altitude" is only 1m66 🤓🤓🤓
this bike needs adjustable brake & clutch levers, hands are like feet......they come in different sizes. I can just get my first row of knuckles over them, a little more 'hand' would be nice and perhaps a bit safer.

I wish BMW would have their machines sorted out like the Japanese do before they release them to the public. I want BMW motorcycles to be as good as they used to be before the introduction of the K bikes
Hi, this is not about discrimination at all, if you listen and watched carefully then you will realise the question " is this a real BMW or an Indian Copy" It does not say that an Indian copy is no good. We all know that BMW's are German bikes and that most people expect it to be build in Germany. That German build norms and quality are very high, A lot of people have doubts if the same standards are maintained in Indian manufacturing... There is nothing wrong with that nor is it discrimination my friend.
India TN service team need to improve. and customer complaints and feedback system have to bring alive. I am so disappointed about my bike G310R issue .
Ya mine apache 200 matches most parts like fuel tank cap, seat lock, rpm meter bar, pillion footrest. Exhaust same as apache rr 310. But rest all looks very great quality. Iam waiting for bs6 gs310 for upgrade
Himanshu Tripathy , its ok to annoyed. But that question goes around. Indian and other oriental build products are by many considerd less quality. . In this video i show the opposite. That it is a bmw. No matter where its build
Great review, but just a suggestion, may want to clip your nails before going on camera and pointing at things, long dirty nails don`t make a great impression and if you got the money maybe also consider to buy yourself a new cap.
Haha, txs for the comments... but I am who `i am and I am not into trying to be pretty in front of the camera... I am a mechanic... and my cap well that s something I adore... as it goes back a long time...
@@D3Sshooter Fair enough, I get where your coming from, just some constructive criticism, in case you did`t think about it and what people do notice, when your display yourself to the world, but again, thanks for the great review, plz continue.
samiulla khan , i am sorry. You are wrong.and right The design is BMW and the assembly line is indeed as you say in the TVS factory. A line allocated to BMW. Like so many others.

I wish BMW would have their machines sorted out like the Japanese do before they release them to the public. I want BMW motorcycles to be as good as they used to be before the introduction of the K bikes
Thanks for the comments, I can't complain as for me it worked well.
This is called a review
Thanks for the comments
don't Discriminate India!
What issue do you have ? I have done 10K km with one and so far not a single problem
your chain too loosee...
Yep, indeed ... TXS
80 percentage is tvs 30 percentage bmw....
Nuts bolts switches (from apache 200)
😂😂😂
Better than bmw...
TXS for the comments
Ya mine apache 200 matches most parts like fuel tank cap, seat lock, rpm meter bar, pillion footrest. Exhaust same as apache rr 310. But rest all looks very great quality.
Iam waiting for bs6 gs310 for upgrade
really very annoyed....... you know what!!!! BMW doesnt need some¹ review to be a BMW. its simply BMW.
Himanshu Tripathy , its ok to annoyed. But that question goes around. Indian and other oriental build products are by many considerd less quality. . In this video i show the opposite. That it is a bmw. No matter where its build
yes
if its indian, its a copy.
No its not a copy at all, its top notch quality
@@D3Sshooter It is by definition not a copy as there is no German made version of this bike,, it is an original.
@@melindamanthey2757 , Indeed ...
Nice video but awful nails
Thank you for the comments, I need something to pull the attention lol
India is not chinam.. We dont copy.
