Ep. 12: Jack and Kent from Speed Bump Garage - In the Aisles w/ Derek Bieri

- You never know what-or who-you’ll run into In the Aisles. In this episode, Derek from Vice Grip Garage (and his son, Bentley from Little Grip Garage) talk to another father-and-son duo: Kent and Jack from the UA-cam channel “Speed Bump Garage”. You’ll hear about their favorites: favorite cars, car movies, tools, even their favorite aisles at O’Reilly Auto Parts. A ’68 Skylark that’s been in their family since it was brand new comes into the conversation. As do potatoes and pumpkins as big as a truck bed.

Vice Grip Garage has been gracin’ the interwebs since 2019 and has pursuaded countless clunkers to run over years. Maybe only half of ‘em had brakes (and that’s being generous). Derek focuses on budget builds, rescues, and how to's for the common folk. From classic cars to tractors Derek has been there and driven it home 600 miles.

how many episode are slated for this series ???
The fact O'Reilly Auto Parts is paying to advertise with this wholesome content should be commended.
Amen to that
The fact that it's on UA-cam Music
One of the reasons I've started shopping there again.
Exactly 💯
So cool meeting Derek and Bentley! Thanks for having us
So happy for your success! Been fun to watch your growth. You and your dad make an awesome team! Remember us little guys!!! LOL
Hey there Kent and Jack!!!!!!!!!! Great interview.
All my favorites, right there!
These two young men are great examples of the good that comes from interactive parents.
Two cool kids with their cool dads. Great interview!
My favorite episode of @ViceGripGarage is Derek picking up his Dad's car. I cried like a baby because I lost my old man too, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Two amazing young men, that young man was looking at Derek like a superhero. Derek what a role model you are to these young guys. Great Job!!
Smiles from ear to ear watching these fellas!
Im 56 years old and ended up raising my two daughters as a single father, they are in their 30s now and im amazed at the Women they have Become , these Two Young men will touch many peoples lives in a fantastic Way !!!.........This is Parenting 101 right here , thank you Guys for the Videos
Great to see my favorite young man. From Growjack to mechanic. Influencer in the making. So proud of him.
We've been waiting for this interview, this young kid is going to go places
Can we just talk about the impressive mullet on Derek’s youngest human he’s responsible for?? Well done!
So glad to see this collaboration. All these channels are my regular queue. I'm so glad UA-cam provides a platform for folks like y'all.
Nice to see a good wholesome show that kids are involved and can enjoy.❤🎉
This video made our day! My husband and I love both channels and would always say wouldn't it be great to see them together? Now we need a collaboration on a revival! 😊
Another great episode, Derek is the best. And this new guy is great. Gonna add him to my short list of subscriptions
Great interview Derek it’s great to see younger kids taking interest in cars , mechanical and learning a skill set that will help them for a lifetime 😊
So glad to see them fellers and the little humans they’re responsible for! Great Chanel’s guys!!!!
One of my favorite channels. Always enjoyable, I'm going to give Speed Bump a look see. Thanks
Would love to see all you guys at Cruising the Coast!
Bentley is his mother's son , but DON'T get me wrong. Jessica is a tough lady, and Bentley clearly takes after his Dad in temperament. They seem to be an awesome family. I bought some T-shirts and got the included Christmas card. My wife was all "who are these people you stuck on the fridge?"
Literally my favorite four people
Those two kids are awesome😊
What a great interview you had. Kent and Jack are real good people and I love their channel. And now I have found your channel. You may not see my comment but I'll be watching.
Great interview. I watch both Grow Jack Outdoors and Speed Bump Garage. I'm probably the only 61 year old old lady that watches auto videos. I used to help my dad build 1965 mercury comets. And he got me a 1964 comet when I was 14, but after I'd already bought my own vehicle so he sold it to a friend of his. I've been dying to see them finish that 64 they mentioned.
That was great. Just some down-home country folk. I love that the kid wanted the helmet to work, so he just figured it out. Seems like country kids have an imagination that they can figure out how to build something to do what they need. Thanks Derek.
I've been subscribed to speed bump for a while and really like the content. Keep it up guys!
One of my favorite interviews to date. Jack is an awesome kid.
My goodness! I love it! Nothing like seeing 2 fathers with their boys doing what they love. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the the way he go……
Well done gentleman
The Ranchero and elcamino were a sedan pickup as that's how they were marketed. My first one I ever helped restore was my grandma's 57 Ranchero.
Fun times
Love jack’s little channel! Keep jamming fella’s!
I absolutely have to agree! The Dorman aisle is the best ever!!
I didn't know about Speed Bump. Just looking through the Playlist I think it's going to be a great sub. Thanks for sharing these fellas channel
You were talking about boat and my brain automatically went to Junkyard Digs
Derek, great interview. FYI the Gentry + Sons You Tube features an 11 year old who drives and blindside full scale semis with trailers! Off road of course but that kid can out drive most adults. Thanks for another great video! I'm having great luck with my local O'Reilly's fixing my old pickup! Good company!
Love to see you come down for our little Cruising the Coast event. 2023 was about 10,100 registered cars and another 5k or so unregistered.
Great Interview! Love getting kids into using their hands, heads, and outside.
Dazed and confused is my favorite car movie
I would like to see Derek take his dad's Buick on power tour. There would be some great stories there.
I had a 1976 Rancharo with LTD tail lights and the tereno front end c6 trans with 351 Cleveland engine was a blast to drive
again good job Derik from Umkomass South Afrika
I got a caliper bolt for a cavalier from the help section that was for a stripped threaded bolt hole. It tapped and resized the hole. Definitely made it easy:)
Oh man, I remember pulling a car hood behind a tractor as a sled in the snow!
Hi Derek and Bradley and guest nice video 📹 and workmanship
Derek should do one of these interviews with Ike and John from cars and cameras. That would be neat.
Another great podcast show by the great Mr. B
my goodness!!! what a great show gentlemen! I enjoyed it
Great parents taking the time to make there lives better,
As a father of an 11 yr old boy, this really hits home! Keep up the good work!
So glad you were able to have these two on!!
I loved this video, and actually learned a lot about both channels, yall are awesome people
I too started on an early 70s Yamaha GT 80. Then as I grew I was payed for bailing hay and cutting brush one summer for my papaw and his cousins farm next to ours . Payment was a 1976 Yamaha enduro 125. I had to replace points and rebuild the fuel make it happener to get it to run but boy was I excited as a 12 year old boy in the early 80s. What a blessed childhood
Wow! That was an awsome episode! It would be cool to see the boys collaborate on helping each other finnish a project each
Jack and Bentley MUST get together and collaborate! Build a go cart a piece.
Fav episode thus far
No Way! Awsome my two favorite channels
Great interview! I love Speed Bump Garage!
I watch both shows an just found this, very cool .4 Americans
Yes I love the old Panteras too!!
Great interview, love it
Great interview, hope y'all have a Merry Christmas and thanks to O Riley's for doing these videos for us old gear heads
Man this is what the world needs love it
Wonderful episode folks! ❤
Old Delina Stor is my favorite place to hang out! They used to have a restaurant that was kicking a couple of years ago and they had a "Big Delina Burger" that was to die for!!!
I love their genuine innocence
This is the collaboration I want to see between father and sons!
Please run down to Tennessee and interview the Sleeper Dude kids. Braxton from Gentry & Sons. So many kids making the jump into the Car craze. JD from Pole Barn Garage
The 2024 Woodward Dream cruise in August will be the 30th Annual! That might be a thought!!!!
I like the 1966 SS 396 Chevelle. My uncle had one that was very fast. :)
I absolutely love the ford pantera
I'm going to be checking this UA-cam page out!
I work for Coca Cola bottling, I'm proud to make him a bottle of a American Classic. This was a great interview, thank you.
Crazy how fast speed bump garage has grown! 12k subs before the ranchero and almost a million now that's insane!
love the show. I love speed bump channel too
From what I’ve been told was because some states it cost so much more to put tags on pickups, the ranchero and Elcamino were popular because they were tagged as cars. I heard that from relatives in Indiana.
Faith in next generation restored👍
My favorite in the Aisle!
awesome interview. thank you
Up next with sleeper dude and family!!!!
Good video from one of my favorite breakfast joints.
It's like the dads and sons personalities are mixed matched Derek and Jack are alike and vice versa😅
Bentley and Jack need to do a project together, please. Dads could be on hand but hands off until #HeyDads are needed. Or dads could do narration like when Kent did the narration on Jack's own video on the Craftsman lawnmower, "He didn't tell me about the pressure washer."
Very cool you got to talk with them🤠🤠🤠
My first was a RM 80 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
This was KOOL!!!!
My two favorite car kids with my two favorite dads
There's sum serious Mullet goin on there😂
im barely 1 minute in but had to stop just to say how AWESOME Bentleys MULLETT is looking!!
Kooll father's and sons interview adventure.
My first bike was a 74 Yamaha enduro 80!!!
I got the tee shirt today. Its so cool. I love you guys
What a great episode
That’s like Mad Max!! 11:01
Awesome episode
Stumbled onto the isles video and with the two young guys do more that you’ve influenced these younger kids are guys and got them interested in working on these old cars it’s just enough for doing that because it’s been lost looking at your content
Would love to see you interview sleeperdude and his fam!
I'd love a 87gnx
I really like these guys.
Great video and there called Sprint boats we have a sprint boat track in Port Angeles WA in Washington State that Mr McFarland has come to twice one with a backup boat the first time and then this year with his Mountain Dew boat from Australia thanks again for all the great information from all you interviewed and yet to come Kraig from Washington State
I can confirm as a 6' 3" giant gorilla myself...you will not fit in a Pantera, Derek. It was also a bucket list car for me and then I tried to get in one at a Mecum auction last year. I got in after a lot of work. No way I could drive it though. And was really entertaining for everyone else around when I had to "fall out" of it to get out.
