I love the integrated art education aspect of this channel it does lean towards kinetic art with a touch of pressure washer interpretive dance
" So i'll use heat. Then i forgot i used break cleaner" 😂 if i had a son id like him to be like Rhett.
Keep it up young dude. You rawk!
I mean honestly!! I don’t understand how people bring themselves to question Matt on anything on his builds!!!! He is the mutha fuckin YODA of building anything!!! Come on people save it. The man is a surgeon!! he has his doctrine in mechanics and fabrication!!
You do know that this is a family oriented channel, right?
@@wdwtx2.0 This is youtube mate.
I recommend not swearing in a comment, and especially not on a family-friendly channel.
That would be Paul.
Jeez man save some knob for his wife
“D.U.N. dun, you’re goin nowhere, you’re callin me, and I’ve gotta come getcha out” had me in tears! Matt is getting funnier by the minute 😂
There is a video about diff cover's. Some dont let the oil sling up to the bearings. I would check them out before buying them. Brinks maybe has a video about it?
Can't wait to see the 6x6 off road wrecker finished and working!!!!!!!!!
15:34 "1) Its technique. 2) I have back problems" one of the funniest things Colby has ever said lmao. Colby your camera work is just fine, I think the commenter may have problems of the thing behind the eyeballs. :D
Matt’s Door job on the Spud Truck is looking good 🤣
The dent in the door causes me not to look at anything else.
@@Buck1954 Same for me, I was watching a video on Jay Leno's channel about a $300,000 dollar 1957 resto-mod, it's a beautiful car, but all I could see was that the body molding didn't line up perfectly across the door.
That will get taken care of when it goes to Robby Layton’s for paint.
In the right conditions the spud truck might be able to do some cool wheelies!
Matt! My wife in the past green lighted a 1968 C60 purchase and I feel foolish for not jumping on it. But life jumped in and I had to be a man about it. So I’m living vicariously through you haha. One of my goals is a 70 C60 burb down the road. I have the 70 burb but not the C60. Keep it up! I’m learning so much through your channel. You guys rock!
The lift crunch on the right door and running board brings tears to my eyes every time I see it. Please buff that out asap. Love the videos everyone.
"THE BALLAD OF MATT, THE FABRICATING MAN:
Oh, I'm going to lubricate my gears with your tears
I'm going to torque down all your fears with my jeers
A claw hammer is still a hammer
Listen to me, I don't stammer!
Every tool is also a hammer!
I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam
I'm Matt, the fabricating man!
Blood, sweat and tears are the best lubricants for differentials. You nailed it Matt!😂
Aloha and good morning from Hawaii!!
I appreciate that Matt explains why he does, or doesn't, pursue some mechanical solution. I'm not mechanically inclined but really enjoy the explanations. Thanks Matt!
The Spud Truck is coming along awesome! I love that the first ever vehicle it hauled was Matt's '60 Corvair 700 coupe aka Caroline! I wore my Team MORRVAIR shirt, and drove my '65 Corvair 500 sedan roughly 60 miles today (and saw a car in town with Utah plates, which made it feel more complete!)
"...I'm gonna lubricate these gears with your tears." That's pretty tall shop talk! Also very funny.
Assuming the spud truck will operating on the highway, are there any plans for a fold-down rear bumper with warning/brake lights to minimize the chance of idiots driving under the bed? Love your channel!
That is a good point, that bed is a bit of a guillotine.
I agree, I’d love to see a fold down under-ride bar.
I do not get sea sick from watching this❤
Neither do I
I am not sure why, but your builds on this channel have been my favorite. Bombee being my favorite build ever, and I have 0 interest in owning a snow cat. I grew up in Utah, joined the military and have not lived there since. So that may be a bit of it too, it is great to see great people from home on the tubes. Thanks for your videos, I always enjoy them. Unless something drastic changes I will be watching as long as yall put out videos.
My father's day gift was to actually come see the shop and all the vehicles in the yard! it was a shame it was Sunday morning at 630. But I got greeted by Lady and Max. Still very awesome to see my favorite (the Banana) up close after watching all the videos. A shame I didn't get to meet any of you and the crew on our journey back to North Dakota! Keep up the great content! Matt Houde!
Such a Dad move, taking the tires Rhett was saving for a project and making him put them on his Mom's car. 😂 Rhett is a good son.
He’s actually really annoying!
@@jcpole hold a mirror in front of yourself when you say that.
wow this just poped up for me!
i think that door damage can be pounded out by someone who knows what they are doing, might still need some fresh paint but dont you know a guy who is all about paint?
Use the original gas tank as a fresh water tank. You could drink it, wash off dirty broken rigs, get the mud off your boots... Other water related stuff too!
yeah drink water out of an old fuel tank that was filled with fuel for years... do you eat a lot of paint chips too?
🤦🏻♂️ Setting aside the issues of toxic contamination, gas tanks are not treated for water. They would start rusting out immediately.
Or as a storage bin for another idea.
Who would want to drink water from an old nasty gas tank?? I can't even believe that got 6 likes.
@@diyfferent they are DIYing VERY different 😆
I watch you guys from Kenya ... that statement you said " I GOT GOOD KIDS" its because you are an AWESOME Man and have an amazing wife who brought them up to be GOOD... its not car related but your personalities are a BIG part why we keep watching you and your entire hard working and awesome team, because they come through the videos on each Job you post. KEEP WINNING 🙌👍Better Late than never .. I watch each week..Missed this😳
Man I am really loving the spud truck project. Idk if anybody else builds projects that I really dig more than Matt. They’re pretty much all just my style. I love this truck already and I can’t wait to see it finished.
It’s 4:19 in the morning and i need sleep, darn summer. And I don’t like starting up late this sucks
Kollin's face injury?
“Hey siri, what’s a Monet?” 😂😂😂
Enjoyed hearing all your explanations. Its nice to see the ideas that go into a build designed for a specific purpose, versus having to compromise for an all purpose. When it comes time to paint you might want to check with good ole Cleetus as he might be able to squeeze you in at Hibachi auto body 🙄🙄
Thank you for reviewing your own videos. I hope you do it with always. Thanks for the video ya'll.
Depending on your overall maximum height. Build your front bar and tie the headache bar to it with roof rails. Add a cage on top for storage of gear. The rails give scrub and roll over protection. Also, the roof rails will give some extra support to the winch. Love the content.
Colby, there's nothing wrong with your filming. I happen to think it's incredible! I'm a scuba diver and I've been bad sea sick at least a time or two. No need for Dramamine here. Keep up the great work buddy!
