Tina's skills at harmonics, timing in the wammy bar are impeccable. This is why at age 15 she was already considered one of the best in the world and was also spokeswoman four Frances largest guitar
Tina posted her video "For The God Of Love" on December 12, 2015, Steve VAI watched it on December 13, 2015 and tweeted congratulations to Tina and reposted the video on his page. And Tina S replied : "I am honored!! Thank you Mr Vai"
thank you again for the awesome reaction. I just wanted to add a little piece of information regarding the part of the "conflicting sound", because I think you did not exactly see what she was doing with her right hand at the moment. maybe take another look at that part and watch what she does with the tremolo bar at that moment. It is all the way open and she flicks it going backward... with that cat like sound being the result.
Yes, I agree, it is hard to put into words what she actually does, but Steve Vai regularly does this effect. Essentially, when the trem bar is behind the bridge, the player 'strokes, or brushes' the bar to create the 'wobble' effect that is heard.
I think he got it but was trying to describe the actual musical effect of the dissonance produced. He's right that when you bend a note into another note there are points of extreme dissonance if you're playing both at once. The bar brush produces this dissonance in a way but I think his overall point is that there's a kind of satisfying discomfort in the scope of these particular bends. Like, exactly the opposite of when you hear a singer warming up and they bend 'to' the notes. These chordal bends bent into one of the many 'in between' spaces out of harmony, yet still harmonious. That will make sense to some but will sound ludicrous to others I know.
Imho she does not use a pedal to change the sound during playing, it's all in her technique... And what you call the conflicting sounds she makes these by tapping on the whammy bar. You can clearly see that she prepares this by putting the whammy bar backwards for this some bars before. And let's not forget that the guitar she plays, Vigier, is one of the most underrated guitars in the world.
Tina’s amazing version of Steve Vai « for the love of god » is a rare display of sheer guitar mastery technic combined with soul and emotions. Her awesome reverse whammy bar cat purr technic climax, sounds awesome, angry and freaky. This famous Steve Vai guitar reverse whammy bar cat purr trick, mimics a demented enraged roaring and pissed off wild Bob cat freaking out. Tina was a total master of this guitar technic. But she was also just a normal French student who said, believe it or not, that her high school and university studies (near Paris) did not leave her enough time to practice her guitar. (actual quote from an interview). Imagine if she would have found the time. Oh my God!
I’m 56 years old and I’ve never reached this level of talent. I was so impressed. I bought a Vigier Excalibur guitar to put on my wall of fame. These guitars aren’t cheap either. Just a little bit over 5K here in Texas.
Thank you for your comments on Tina's cover of this song. She is back. Why not try and react to all 16 of her first set of covers. I would love to hear your comments on those too.
Tina S interview : "For The Love Of God is a very complex piece musically, technically, structurally," she said. "Playing was a real goal, I'm very proud of its success."
Conflicting sounds you’re hearing is that tramolo. Watch her hit it when she’s swinging her arm back and barely touching it. It has springs in it and that’s what makes the sound affect.
I think Herman Li said it was auto wah that was pick sensitive when she covered the Dragon Force song, might not apply here..however she did it it’s still incredible top tier playing. I’d like to see Vai react to it like Herman did when she covered his song.
shes not using a pedal if you were any good you would know that when you can play as well her then you have the right to critise but I doubt that will ever happen She is amongst the top five in the world male or female
Tina S has made songs that I did not like into real art. I appreciate her videos and those that do reactions to her videos, I learn so much more listening to reaction videos. Just Jen has a couple great reaction videos to Tina S along with Herman Lee’s
You are incorrect with your explanation at TM. 7:04. This sound is not mismatched frequencies while bending strings at all. This technique is referred to by most as Trem-Flutter. Only done with a Floyd Rose trem-system. By slapping the "whammy-bar" exactly right you get that chirping sound. Dude do your homework before explaining things WRONG. This video is a prefect example of .. "The; Dunning-Kruger effect", in psychology, The; Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias; whereby people with limited knowledge or competence in a given intellectual or social domain greatly overestimate their own knowledge, Or competence in that domain. Relative to objective criteria or to the performance of their peers or of people in general.
There is reason for « muted sound » it’s purpose is to not built the tension right away, hold back until she repeat the phrase and then used a more aggressive tone to built slowly towards a climax
Hello, it's unfortunate but you didn't understand the song at all because you didn't listen. This song tells a story, takes you on a journey through your emotional life. It takes an extraordinary artist and the most difficult techniques to convey these feelings and evoke emotions, as you can see in many videos. Some people couldn't hold back their tears. Me neither. Chewing creates its own noise and rhythm and you are not able to understand such fine nuances. In any case, as a musician you should understand that. It would have been better if you had eaten your meal to a song by AC/DC or Rammstein. It doesn't matter. Even if you interrupt too often to talk about techniques, it's not very helpful.
She's not on a pedal.....Its a bending and hammer ons while harmonics, with a delay tone setting on volume in the pickup. You are the only conflicting sound, what the hell, you have no idea.
Are you kidding me? You're complaining cause I ate a snack during a 3,5 hour long livestream?? There are far worse things in life to complain about, don't you think?
@rickkemp1 ok, this is making me kinda mad... First of all, imo you are making too much of a deal out of this, like I didn't pay attention to the video. Also, don't judge so quickly if you don't have any context about it. If I was on the road all day and had to hurry home to start the livestream at 10pm, then a little snack is not a sin. And btw, do you also think that it is rude to eat popcorn and other snacks during a movie in theaters? Cause that's basically the same thing. I'm at home, watching some fun suggested videos and have a fun time with my subscribers in the chat, a snack is not wrong i think.
Btw, Steve Vai posted her video on his Twitter and sent her his congratulations to which she responded that she was honored. Jason Becker also replied to her video of his song Altitudes. The guitarist from Dragonforce also reacted to her cover of they’re song and reached out to her for a collaboration, his reaction is on UA-cam. So for you to comment that she didn’t play well is so cringe, ignorant and futile. Genius recognizes genius. Nice try tho lol.
That sound was not from conflicting strings it was from her hitting the whammy bar backward.
Correct, whammy set into backwards position so that tapping it gently bends stings up.
She’s not using a pedal. It’s her bending technique. She’s literally that good.
SHE'S BACK!
She has no pedal, it's her bending technique
Tina's skills at harmonics, timing in the wammy bar are impeccable. This is why at age 15 she was already considered one of the best in the world and was also spokeswoman four Frances largest guitar
Those conficting frequencys you are hearing are simply her slapping the tremolo and it's vibrating.
SPIN TWICE "Band of Tina now"
7:50 that’s not frequency conflict, it’s a Floyd Rose trill.

yes correct, aka "The Pussycat purr" :-)

Excellent reaction, Tina's talent is breathtaking.
She did a lesser known cover of "Altitudes" (Jason Becker) which is also worth a look 😉
there is no pedal, bending and tremolo barre only
Imho she does not use a pedal to change the sound during playing, it's all in her technique... And what you call the conflicting sounds she makes these by tapping on the whammy bar. At 7:55 she was actually bumping/stroking the tremelo to make that sound. It's called something along the lines of a "cats meow."
btw , she is comming back soon ...
She didn't quit playing , she wanted to complete her studies at university .
Thank you for your comments on Tina's cover of this song. She is back. Why not try and react to all 16 of her first set of covers. I would love to hear your comments on those too.
Can't believe you never had the idea of checking out the dude who came up with this beautiful madness.

This is FLUTTER with whammy bar.
The man does not shut up. listen to genius instead, the girl burns.
She didn't use any pedals.

She is French and took time off to get her law degree. She’s back now.
LAW degree ??????? In her engineering school ?????? HAHAHAHA LOL !!
nice reaction! The most amazing piece she ever did, imo is Altitudes by Jason becker. Check it out, please, you won't regret it!
7:58 she's sliding her wrist back across the tremelo bar I'm pretty sure
she has been plaing guitar for a while but she is genuinely that good at japanese metal
She is fluttering her tremmelo she swipes her hand at it and that’s what causes that fluttering sound
I have never seen Tina S show emotion like she does on this song usually she stone cold killer but not on this one.
Go watch her cover of 'the loner" for true emotions...watch her face.
💯
Pitch harmonic that’s right
I stopped watching this, your insistance she is using a pedal is nonsense. Look at her technique. No pedal. Nope, none. Watch her fingers and hand.
Absolutely no pedal!!!
what....you didnt bring enough snacks for everyone???? WTH
good mars
no wawaw pedals

Oh hell no dude....she is bending the strings on the fret board...easy enough to see, there is no "foot pedal", she can make a guitar sing.
Do we really need to see you eat your lunch? Any one ever tell you not to speak with your mouth full?
Are you kidding me? You're complaining cause I ate a snack during a 3,5 hour long livestream?? There are far worse things in life to complain about, don't you think?
@@YBPlaysMusic No, I'm nor kidding, look at the video from a viewer standpoint. I couldn't finish it. It's too rude.

I don't know the song enough to know but I heard she mixed the 2 solo's and gave her own twist to it.
She plays in her style, if you wanna hear it like Steve just go listen to him. I actually prefer her version of this song.
Btw, Steve Vai posted her video on his Twitter and sent her his congratulations to which she responded that she was honored. Jason Becker also replied to her video of his song Altitudes.
