Tina posted her video on December 12, 2015, Steve VAI watched it on December 13, 2015 and tweeted congratulations to Tina and reposted the video on his page. And Tina S replied : "I am honored!! Thank you Mr Vai" Tina S interview : "For The Love Of God is a very complex piece musically, technically, structurally," she said. "Playing was a real goal, I'm very proud of its success."
I believe that cover of Becker's Altitudes that she produced can;t be matched by anyone. She managed to infuse it with an added value of such intense emotional charge, that it really strongly affects me. Like a religios experience!
Like your reaction, she's back, she's huge, she has 205 million views! She's very profound private person..she doesn't need lime light, she's content with what she does.
Tina’s amazing version of « for the love of god » is a rare display of sheer guitar mastery technic combined with soul and emotions. Her awesome reverse whammy bar cat purr technic climax, sounds awesome, angry and freaky. This famous Steve Vai guitar reverse whammy bar cat purr trick, mimics a demented enraged roaring and pissed off wild Bob cat freaking out. Tina was a total master of this guitar technic. But she was also just a normal French student who said, believe it or not, that her high school and university studies (near Paris) did not leave her enough time to practice her guitar. (actual quote from an interview). Imagine if she would have found the time. Oh my God!
She has a chameleon like way of adapting to the style of any of the greatest guitarists out there playing their stuff as good as, alot of times better than the original! That's my opinion, anyways. Her playing is so good it can really hit your emotions.... so powerful!! It takes a MASTER to have her versatility, she can do anything technically! She is a gift, playing beautiful music for us to enjoy!
Yeah, I watched Herman Li's reaction to her playing through the fire and flames and he was totally blown away by her too. I think he said hers was one of the best covers of the song he's heard. When the original artist is blown away by you cover of their song, that's a major achievement.
Thank you for reacting to this..i had mentioned it in one of your other Tina S reactions.. this cover is my favorite by her..But whether my suggestion, or others contributed to your decision, it doesnt matter..its a Win !.. Shes a very gifted musician.. i'd even bet shes an accomplished pianist also..
She is a gift from god.imagine all the hard work it takes to use muscle memory you will and am the best guitarist in the world, totally blown away with your talent.keep at it. And make the greatest solo guitar album of all time.
She started playing on an acoustic guitar when she was 5 or 6, didn't start playing an electric guitar until she was 12 or 13. I think she was 15 or 16 here but am not sure. Her muscle memory is just mind blowing! This is the most emotion I've seen her exhibit and I like it, A LOT!
Tina S combines feeling, technique, speed, stamina and I would love to see take over from Jimi Hendrix to offer us a catalogue of classical music on the electic guitar. I could listen to that all day.
It was her own decision to stop posting videos when she was seeking her education and she is back now. Her playing Moonlight Sonata is the best ever in my opinion.
@@IA_Information_Paris - one of them is on her Tina S youtube page. She's playing lead with a band called Spin Twice. They've released an EP - sounds a bit grungy, and her contribution is fairly low key with very short solos.
Tina will take the path that makes her happy. She was very young at the time and I personally had the feeling that the sudden stardom was too much for her, maybe that wasn't what she wanted at all. Her guitar teacher pushed her a lot and also reduced her contact with him. You can also waste a talent
I don't think Ludwig van Beethoven would get much enjoyment from watching stuff like this on UA-cam...he was deaf after all...not sure how subtitles would work with guitar shredding...lol
I think she was not ready for it. A lot of speculation as to the possible reasons. No hard evidence for anything. Despite assertions to the contrary there is no hard evidence she went to university. I would love to have that proved wrong. It does not even appear that she has the Baccalauréat. One thing is clear, while she was doing these videos, she turn down (or ignored) all invitations that would have involved greater public exposure. Perhaps she is little bit more ready now. Hoping for the best.

Tina is a supremely gifted virtuoso. Her skills are second to none.

She is back and we are awaiting her new videos.
Her cover of Jason Beckers "Altitudes" is just as good 🙂

Altitudes is the one you're missing, to complete my favourite set.
great react... tina is one of the best.. and quite the mystery...
I agree 100 percent, she is not ready to be a rock god,but she has the skill to do so.

Tina?
Tina S (Tina SETKIC)
A Steve Vai composition is as great and sometimes greater than anything composed by the greatest composers in history.

The word natural is insulting, she worked like hell
