I noticed there’s no in built speakers but also is there no audio port to put external speakers in? If so is there no way to use any form of speakers? So what do you do for audio?
Thats a great point. This monitor would be more for the PC gaming user in that case. For example, I have my speakers plugged into my PC. And other than that I use headphones. For a playstation though. The monitor has USB ports that you could plug speakers into.

got this for $200 on amazon. has extra features for console such as it downscales 4k images somehow and its like the only 1440p monitor for ps5 that supports VRR over HDMI. tried the LG ultragear 1440p one and this one is better in everything, response time, vrr, colors, etc. Nice review
I'm about to buy a monitor - like sometime today - and it's been between this and the Alienware AW2724DM for me, which is on sale right now for just like $50 more. For whatever reason (and this is only 6 days after you posted up this review) the monitor is $299 when I check it out on Dell instead of the $269 you are showing here. I'd probably be going with this one instead if it were down at that $269 price. The only difference is the Alienware has 600 nits brightness vs. the 400 on this monitor, so the HDR looks a little bit better (a brighter monitor makes the contrast between the blacks and whites look better). But yeah this monitor is a great deal and Dell really kills it with their monitors in general. You're not really ever going to go wrong getting one from them. Appreciate the no-bullshit review lol. I've been told 165hz is the sweet spot.

I jumped on the alienware AW2724DM over this monitor because it's overall a better monitor and it had a huge rebate, I got it for 429$ Canadian vs this monitor which was 399$ Canadian, so yeah a no brainer for me.
I am buying this monitor. Freesync and G-sync are not gimmicks, they are a great way to reduce screen tearing by synchronizing FPS with monitor refresh rate for the smoothest experience possible. All of those extra features are always welcome. One thing this monitor lacks is a USB hub that the 24 inch 1080p version has, other than that, it's great for gaming and college work.

5:44 I agree on turning off Adaptive sync. When monitors refresh rate is already higher than the refresh rate that is produced from the graphic card, we do not need adaptive sync ! I do not understand why people use it ! It is so dizzy when playing with sync turned on.

The LG 27GP850 is a really strong competitor to the Dell in this video. Lots of the same specs. The LG has a different mount system, not a VESA mount, something to be mindful of if you plan on wall mounting or using a different type of stand. I'm sure they make mounts for them ones thougha as LG is a popular brand. I'd say its really u to you for price/looks. Maybe wait until one of them goes on sale and scoop it up? Either way you go I'd say its a good choice, although I have no experience with LG monitors, just looking at the specs.

The LG has a USB hub and an audio port - the Dell doesn't. LG stand doesn't rotate and takes more space - Dell does... The overall built quality is a tad better on the Dell. The Picture is also a bit better on the Dell. Slightly better colors and less hazy due to the thinner coating. Reflections are therefore a little stronger but not a problem. Subjectively, I'd say the LG has more IPS glow and is more fatguing for my eyes despite the fact it has some features to avoid that. And there is a difference in the DP/HDMI ports...2+1, VRR support on the Dell and 1+2 no VRR on the LG. I'd take the Dell over LG anytime - my personal recommendation in that priceclass.

Bought this today for $195 hoping it comes in for christmas. Said its gonna arrive on december 20th, but i've heard horror storries of people getting super long delays. HDMI 2.0. You won't be able to play at 4K 120hz but I doubt you can tell the difference between 4K and 1440p unless you have perfect vision and have the monitor literally a few of inches away from your face

Pretty awesome monitor, have one myself. The best part is the price $199 on sale. Although the new OLED are definitely the new kings. After I noticed the ghosting on the Dell I can’t unsee it. 😢
The real reason you may want to buy this monitor is because Gigabyte M27Q Rev 1.0 is out of production and this one is the only other monitor with high refresh rate compliance (low motion blur) that doesn't cost >$500 and isn't OLED, at least according to info on RTINGS website. Also, it seems that despite it not being mentioned in specs, it supports FRC, i.e. artificial 10 bit. That being said, it has shitty HDR: shitty colors in HDR and shitty local dimming that can't be disabled (ugly vertical line thathighlights some bright objects...). Edit: Oh, and like M27Q Rev 1.0 it may have single overdrive mode applicable to all refhresh rates with enabled VRR, at least according to review by RTINGS.
I recived my monitor. I have never payed more than £350 in my life for any monitor. I have to admit its not as good as my previous asus tuf vg27AQ, reason being the build in crosshairs option on the TUF were much better, The built in crosshair in this monitor only has 1 option and its horrendous, even worse the the defualt CSGO crosshair. However the monitor for the price is absolutely solid. Well worth the £300. If you can pay a little extra the TUF vg27AQ at £330 would be a better option for sweaty FPS players.

No mate it has no audio port or any USB port which socks as the spec is perfect for console. I use my galaxy buds paired with a Bluetooth connector on the PS5 so that's my only option for sound. Thanks
He is god damn right. I hate 21:9. It looks like a movie and you're not a main character. Also this monitors are terrible for any text working, web browsing, coding, writing. You can't do that comfortable with looking from one corner to the other one.
Bought it and got disappointed with it and i just had to return it, the display is so orange and dim no matter what i tried to calibrate it, i have a hp x24ih thats half the price and its brighter and more vibrant than this one ( rtings rated the hp at 330 nits, the dell is rated at 430 nits yet it looks dimmer ), and i also have a lg 24mp60g thats a quarter of the price and its even more bright and vibrant than even the hp x24ih Moral of the story is dont buy monitors based on online reviews, seeing what you're buying with your own eyes is an absolute must if you dont want to be dissapointed later
Literally bought one after this video. Although I would complain about the fact that you said that there is no monitor that offers the same specs. There is literally a Xiaomi mi 27" 2k gaming monitor and LG 27850GP-B that I can think of at the spot... but those two are going for over 350USD or EUR right now... It doesn't but since it's not 4k you wouldn't need it (HDMI 2.1 is for 4K 120Hz). You'll be able to do 1440p/2k @ 120Hz.
HDMI 2.0. You won't be able to play at 4K 120hz but I doubt you can tell the difference between 4K and 1440p unless you have perfect vision and have the monitor literally a few of inches away from your face

The real reason you may want to buy this monitor is because Gigabyte M27Q Rev 1.0 is out of production and this one is the only other monitor with high refresh rate compliance (low motion blur) that doesn't cost >$500 and isn't OLED, at least according to info on RTINGS website. Also, it seems that despite it not being mentioned in specs, it supports FRC, i.e. artificial 10 bit. That being said, it has shitty HDR: shitty colors in HDR and shitty local dimming that can't be disabled (ugly vertical line thathighlights some bright objects...).
Edit: Oh, and like M27Q Rev 1.0 it may have single overdrive mode applicable to all refhresh rates with enabled VRR, at least according to review by RTINGS.

I recived my monitor. I have never payed more than £350 in my life for any monitor. I have to admit its not as good as my previous asus tuf vg27AQ, reason being the build in crosshairs option on the TUF were much better, The built in crosshair in this monitor only has 1 option and its horrendous, even worse the the defualt CSGO crosshair.
However the monitor for the price is absolutely solid. Well worth the £300. If you can pay a little extra the TUF vg27AQ at £330 would be a better option for sweaty FPS players.

No mate it has no audio port or any USB port which socks as the spec is perfect for console. I use my galaxy buds paired with a Bluetooth connector on the PS5 so that's my only option for sound. Thanks

He is god damn right. I hate 21:9. It looks like a movie and you're not a main character. Also this monitors are terrible for any text working, web browsing, coding, writing. You can't do that comfortable with looking from one corner to the other one.
Bought it and got disappointed with it and i just had to return it, the display is so orange and dim no matter what i tried to calibrate it, i have a hp x24ih thats half the price and its brighter and more vibrant than this one ( rtings rated the hp at 330 nits, the dell is rated at 430 nits yet it looks dimmer ), and i also have a lg 24mp60g thats a quarter of the price and its even more bright and vibrant than even the hp x24ih
Moral of the story is dont buy monitors based on online reviews, seeing what you're buying with your own eyes is an absolute must if you dont want to be dissapointed later

There is literally a Xiaomi mi 27" 2k gaming monitor and LG 27850GP-B that I can think of at the spot... but those two are going for over 350USD or EUR right now...
