To everyone who is wondering why I don't buy boats at auction. I currently have 6 project and 2 personal boats that I'm storing and I don't have the room for more boats. I will have a boat restoration video posted this week. Thanks!
Where at in florida are you at? Every auction I've gone too has only been like police auctions or the school district stuff and hasn't had boats there? Is there like a web dictionary where you can find upcoming auctions?
ThatBoatGuy hey bro man I’m sitting here checking some of your videos out at work 😂 and wondering where are these auctions taking place if you don’t mine
Man, I’ve already been watching your boat restoration videos. Now I’m gonna start watching these auction ones. This is something I’ve already been interested in for quite a while.
auction vids are cool once in awhile, I'm here for restoration vids, it would be cool to find a good deal at auction and then restore it , and then auction it back off
The reason why I didn't buy is because I have 6 project boats currently lined up for restoration videos. I just don't have the room to park more boat. I do have a boat restoration video that will be posted this week.
For everyone saying he should buy the auction boats; he already has a full yard and I believe he's only trying to show the prices at the auctions. He says he does have plenty of projects on schedule to start soon.
I got sailboat from an auction and only paid about $6k for a 28ft Coronado but with that design they are more like a 32 though. I also paid 1k for a Johnson motor that only needed a tune up and a 4 person extra heavy duty inflatable for $40.. that was such a good deal a couple offered me 3 times that before I even left but I kept it.
I can't believe they made you stop recording. They are afraid of something... for sure. Great job on the prices follow-up. Thanks for all the editing and hard work bro.
Soooo for those of you that are late to this video here are the answers. ..... The auction is in Tampa, it is for the Salvation Army. If you go to their website they have them all over the US. You are welcome!
great video brother, thank you for doing the leg work on this stuff, very valuable info. i also like your reveiws you do on them. a true boater, it shows
hey man i just want to say how therapeutic your channel is i wish i found this sooner. with all that’s been going on with the world i’ve found myself working on motors more and more and loving it as you do. i’m just not savvy with the auctioning. how do i get my hands on a license? is there anyway you can share some knowledge?
Soooo ... how does the title work? How do you know that you'll be able to register these things before you buy them? You just bought a paperweight if you can't get it registered and titled.
On the Cadillac if they sent it thru the sale it had issues. Either a wreck repair or it was swamped. If it did not go through the insurance company there be no blemish on the title. We've done this for about 45 years and if it is to good to be true it probably is. Thanks
Gee they gave that stuff away. Add $2,000 to most of the boat prices and $10,000 to the caravan, (RV) here in Australia. I thought our tools were more expensive than your prices, but boats, vans and cars are out of this world. Enjoy it while yo can guys. They reckon Australia is the lucky country but it’s also one of the most expensive. 🇦🇺
i had a regal 19 in 84' that had a 150 Johnson that I took to Catalina. i loved that bat but it began to break up and even after regal fixed it so I sold it. I think 12,000.

Durangos are great, and most of the used 4WD Durangos have never left the road, so a great used 4WD to buy and build out for light trail use and over landing..... and if it was under 100k miles than you can expect to get another 100k before needing to do major work on it.... it looked well kept, easily worth twice asking if it ran.
@@Rick_Sanchez_C137_ Unreliable Durangos are cheap because theyre plagued with electrical and mechanical issues... as soon as the warranty is out, get your checkbook out... Might as well buy a BOAT...Bust Out Another Thousand
Every major city has impounded vehicle auctions. There's one each week in Dallas and they have a once a month police auction for things recovered in crimes, but never claimed. Dallas doesn't get many boats at it's auction, but I bet Galveston or Houston would. Call city hall for information. For private auctions look online.
Hey theboatguy, I live in tampa bay and im in the area to start looking for a boat but I don't know where to find some good auction sites. Google gave me one in thontosassa. Do you have any other suggestions? Im just trying to get into the boating scene. Your restoration videos and your outboard videos gave me some confidence on trying to take on a project and what to look for. Thanks in advance!

Pluckaiy some of them can be really junky and not run well at all, we used to have an old 1991 pontoon with a 1991 Johnson 70 vro. after 5 years, it only would start by full throttling it in neutral and it would die while idling through the channels and what not it would only run good at high rpms, so hopefully that answers your questions.
Too bad they didn't let you film that I never been to an auction but now seeing this video and me being in the The market for a new boat The market for a new boat I think I'm going to consider an auction thank you very excellent video

This auction guy talks nice and slow. There's one where I live where the guy will talk fast and try to get you to bid against yourself.
I need to go to that auction they gave things away.

That Regal that sold for $550 is worth roughly 10 to 20 times that in Sweden lmao.... Was there anything wrong with it??
