The whaler is a special spec, it can handle up to about x2 250's on it as is and makes that thing reach 70-80mph basically indestructible, 28k is a steal for one of these i saw one go for 35K without engines
That may be (what you saw) but the fact remains the BW hull is worth 15k-18k. Throwing the dice on everything else on/in the boat. I do realize though that idiots, sorry, i mean people, get caught up in the heat of the auction, and often pay WAY too much for an item, such as this Whaler.
yea a normal bw sure i agree, look up what they did to the fire department boats, they reinforced them everywhere they could the 21 outrage form 95 was almost 1500lbs heavier then the normal version
5:00 when I was shopping for my current boat I purchased a Yamaha port reader so I could check hours, engine error codes, RPM history, etc. Gave really good insight and even more so with these auctions. Great $50 investment.
About 10 years or so ago, the state of Ohio auctioned off numerous vehicles and equipment. They still do, however at that time they were regularly auctioning off Boston whalers. They were selling between 10 and $12,000 including the aluminum trailer they were on.
I've been watching many of your videos and this auction tour is such a very enjoyable video, like most of your restoration videos, be it engine and boat hulls. I'm a new subscriber. Keep up the good work. 👍🤘
really enjoy following you on your auction walk throughs... give those of us that are always curious about these sales how they actually work. thank you.
Firstly, dude you stole that mower. That thing goes for INSANE money here in upstate NY. Also, LOVE these kinds of videos. Not only do you bid on stuff, but you show cool stuff at auction, AND what it sold for. Follow ups dont happen often. I appreciate the effort. Very well done. Keep that mower. Its a prosumer model mower which will last you for ever if you keep it up. VERY well done!
2:21, those John Deere 318's are one of the best JD ever built. They are built like tanks, I have one and it's a great tractor and is now 29 years old and still going.
Also the little Kubota Engine it your mower is gonna be one of the most reliable engines you’ve had. I’ve got gas and diesel kubota’s at my work and I’ve never had a problem with any of them and they get used hard.
My stepdad has that same exact mower and he’s had it for ever! The only problem he’s ever had was the Power steering pump went out and it’s starting to go out again. So I’d say that you got a good deal on a great mower!
Servicing motors and trying to get motors running are my favourite videos and these auction videos follow behind closely keep doing these auction vids it’s been to long I love it dude
Really cool to watch "your stuff" going on auction, compare to our auctions here..!! Btw, like your clean up boat videos.. keep on doing your thing. Chris from Sweden 😎👍🇸🇪 (IKEA and Volvo country)
Love that place bought me very first diesel truck there back in 06 and still have it and a work horse it still and she is ready to hit the 400,000 miles. It only had a 165,000 miles when I got
Auctions are very interesting. When I was a kid my brother and I needed something for our farm. New they were very expensive. The auction had a “lot” of the item we wanted, but we only wanted 5 not 25 of them. Did I mention we had $5 between us so we thought our chance of winning the bid was slim to none. We waited patiently. The lot came up for auction. We were the only bidders and got all 25 for 25 cents. New they would have cost $400-$500. Most of them worked and we had plenty of spare parts. A great day for us back in the early 60s.
That's a really good deal on that Kubota mower. New John Deere ones that are only about 1/4 as good are going for close to %3,000. Love the four wheel steering also and it has a great motor and transmission. I'd buy one for twice the price
I really like the auction videos. I’m curious what that rusty power stroke sold for ! I’m from MN and you’re like “oh it’s so rusty”, that’s about the average pickup up here 😂
I like these videos, if only to make me extremely jealous of the kind of stuff you have there. I found an older diesel Kubota on marketplace here the other day, every part of it had visible wear, the seller didn't know the hours and said it needed a starter solenoid. The price on it was $1200.
Yeah, I do like watching your vids to the auctions. Just interesting to wander around looking. Have done that at vehicle auctions in Texas. (I,m from Australia)
This is not about the posted vid... How'd the auction go this weekend? The little center console with the dolphin and tuna wrap looked just your style. I passed it being towed out on Monday. Going in for a vehicle purchase. Wish it was another boat for me, but I just cannot make myself sell a boat. Damnit. Good luck and looking forward to seeing the next vid!
It my dream to get a boston whaler guardian to fix up. But you're right that price is crazy. I have a 1961 13 foot and a 1977 17 outrage that I have restored myself.
Also, that medical equipment that said "AutoPulse" on it.... those are devices used to provide mechanical chest compressions during cardiac arrest. They are VERY expensive. Curious what they went for....
I have an old 1973 evinrude, for some reason when I’m out sometimes I’ll run it full throttle for a little bit and then it will slow down to half speed. Sometimes it will run full throttle and be fine, sometimes it will only get up to half speed at full throttle. But most of the time I’ll have it at full and it will randomly slow down and not speed back up. Have any ideas on what’s wrong?? Love you videos!
I Have a boat question since you’re a Yamaha expert. I have a 2007 60 Hp two stroke that I just installed a big tiller on but now my trim is not working and when you turn the switch on the sound horn does not stop. The big plug has to be put together right because I don’t think it will go together but on way. Looks to be just plug and play deal. When I the trim switch on the tiller it just makes a clicking sound a the back of the motor on the solenoid where there’s a blue, green, red, black wires and I know green is down and blue is up red is hot black ground. When I bought the motor everything worked prefect. It stopped working when I added the the tiller. And ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Wayne in Ga
That Whaler coulda been a neat project, but you know better what worth getting down there. The tractor though - great deal, great sounding engine, just wonder about that whine when turning.
Wondering if you can help. I got an 8hp Mercury outboard 2 stroke. Was running then won’t start. Had mechanic work on and can’t figure it out. Has compression spark and fuel. Has us all baffled. Is there something that could cause it not to start?they had the flywheel off too.
Some people get out of control with bidding, you go to a auction to find deals and buy cheap. You got a good deal on that mower. But the other items went for way to much. Nice video.
Buying used equipment is a gamble. Hour meters are easily defeated or replaced. Since video was posted a while ago I am wondering how the mower is holding up. I bought a Kubota L2900 compact 4WD diesel tractor. I have had nothing but trouble because prior owners didn't maintain unit.
At 1:20 that’s a Toro Groundmaster, believe it or not but that’s about a $90-100,000 dollar lawn mower. I wonder what that Lincoln welder sold for I want one.
The paramedic stuff (autopulse) is a mechanical CPR device. The patient is placed on the blue board with the white band across the chest and the band is pulled tight to provide CPR.
i like auctions cause its like a museum you get to see all the crazy or normal stuff people are selling the coolest auction ive been to was when i was 6 or 10 and there was a mini drivable gravedigger my family didnt win it cause it went bit high but that was fricking amazing
Just started watching and love your videos I would like to get a boat like in your videos, but don’t know where to start. What and how to check if it’s a good buy. Do you have a video on that talks about how to start and what to check for?
The tree service I worked for awhile used a big Carlton stump grinder like that. It uses a remote control. I believe he said one of them is like $80k an he had two of them. They are sick to watch in action.
This is what I hate about online auction because it’s used to be a real chance to win something but not anymore when you see people who have no clue how to check out the stuff they are bidding on 28’000 bucks for a used boat is insane 😅congratulations on getting a tractor
Hey thatboatguy. I notice you've worked on several yamaha outboards. I'm about to purchase a late 80s or early 90s 30 hp Yamaha. Got any sage advice to set me in the right direction of restoring it? Itll be my first Yamaha. Thanks again for the outboard mechanic videos.
Those auctions aren't as "great a deal" as most think. Back in the day of a government DRMO sale you could get a great deal, but now, people buy this crap at a high price, get it running, and ship it to central/south America at a high profit margin due to the fact that older equipment has old emission standards. No DEF, SCR, etc.. Best avenue of approach is being able to go inspect a piece. As a mechanic for my company my senior mechanic went and looked at a drilling rig with a Cummins 6BT and purchased it. When I went to service it I found a covered up hole in the side of the block filled with the old blown out pieces covered over with Bondo and textured with a sponge painted! Yes, he had egg on his face! Buyer beware!
Hey, there was a pallet behind the Kubota, and it looked like it had a bagger grass catcher on it for the unit, did you drive away and forget to load it?
The whaler is a special spec, it can handle up to about x2 250's on it as is and makes that thing reach 70-80mph basically indestructible, 28k is a steal for one of these i saw one go for 35K without engines

yea a normal bw sure i agree, look up what they did to the fire department boats, they reinforced them everywhere they could the 21 outrage form 95 was almost 1500lbs heavier then the normal version
Ya but if it takes on water then it probably won’t be worth much 😂
5:00 when I was shopping for my current boat I purchased a Yamaha port reader so I could check hours, engine error codes, RPM history, etc. Gave really good insight and even more so with these auctions. Great $50 investment.
I think that was a smokin deal on the mower. Should haul boats around your yard with no problem.
A liquid cooled small engine like that should last basically forever, as long as you take care of it.
About 10 years or so ago, the state of Ohio auctioned off numerous vehicles and equipment. They still do, however at that time they were regularly auctioning off Boston whalers. They were selling between 10 and $12,000 including the aluminum trailer they were on.
Sounds like a good deal on the tractor! Enjoyed seeing all the various pieces available, if you get a chance, more videos like this would be great!
I've been watching many of your videos and this auction tour is such a very enjoyable video, like most of your restoration videos, be it engine and boat hulls. I'm a new subscriber. Keep up the good work. 👍🤘

Really enjoyed this, as someone that likes to browse auctions in Australia its cool to see what you guys have. congrats on your awesome mower 🙂
That mower was a steal!
That whaler has double laid fiberglass and foam. It is rock solid, one of the best riding boats I have ever been on.
You did not buy that mower, you stole it, lol, excellent deal
2:21, those John Deere 318's are one of the best JD ever built. They are built like tanks, I have one and it's a great tractor and is now 29 years old and still going.
More videos of auction please. Nice buy on the lawn tractor!
Wow, that was an incredible transformation! Nice job and thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Slainte,
DC
Your content is gold. We need more. Please post more often. You got a black belt in keeping it real!
Love the auction's even if u don't buy anything love to see what stuff goes for around the country. Especially the airboats and regular boat's
Great buy on the tractor I think sir. Love all the videos you do but the auctions are fun to watch for sure.
Make sure you check the hydraulic oil in your mower. Sounds like the pump is starving 👊
I was wondering what that whining was
i think that's because the steering is maxed out.
Possible bc the throttle wasn't high enough..or a culmination of it all..
Thats the hydrostatic transmission. They sound like that until you put full forward or reverse.
Keep it coming bro 🤘😎. I love it. You working on outboards is by far the best and relaxing to watch.
Also the little Kubota Engine it your mower is gonna be one of the most reliable engines you’ve had. I’ve got gas and diesel kubota’s at my work and I’ve never had a problem with any of them and they get used hard.

Thanks For the vids I Really enjoy the auctions that you walk around and explain things about The Boats, etc. Keep "em coming!
Loving these videos!!! Make moar!
Also, sweet deal on that little mower! The 4 wheel steering should make it super maneuverable for moving boats!
Servicing motors and trying to get motors running are my favourite videos and these auction videos follow behind closely keep doing these auction vids it’s been to long I love it dude
Glad to see younger men with balls to make a go at it. Keep on doing what you're doing.
Great video. Love the boat restoration videos. Keep em coming 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Good buy on the orange machine. I wouldn’t have your luck. If I bought it wouldn’t run. 😂. Thanks for the video. Enjoyable.
Love to see whats at the auction. Keep doing these auctions.
Really cool to watch "your stuff" going on auction, compare to our auctions here..!!
Btw, like your clean up boat videos.. keep on doing your thing.
Chris from Sweden 😎👍🇸🇪

*buys double decker pontoon boat* also buys a *mercury 300*
“ I think you know where this about to go”
Love your vids keep it up 👍🏻
So many cool things in that yard and the Austin powers reference was spot on funny!
Love that place bought me very first diesel truck there back in 06 and still have it and a work horse it still and she is ready to hit the 400,000 miles. It only had a 165,000 miles when I got
Enjoy all your videos! Hope a boat comes up in auction that's the right price. Your restoration videos are my favorite.
Your auction videos are the bomb. Please make more
Good job on the mower!! Really enjoyed you sharing various things on the auction!!!

I love this type of video, it has different types of vehicles you can buy to fix up and it’s just overall interesting
Great deal on the mower. I like your auction videos, like seeing how much the stuff sold for too.
I really like the auction videos. I’m curious what that rusty power stroke sold for ! I’m from MN and you’re like “oh it’s so rusty”, that’s about the average pickup up here 😂

Solid purchase! I will be checking out that auction yard here soon.
Glad to see you back out there. Good luck on the mower!!

How much
I noticed that. I got to play with a different style of one of those at a training day with Parks Canada rescue. Very cool.
Getting on a Whaler Guardian and expecting to bid “for the right price” lmao 😂
I have an old 1973 evinrude, for some reason when I’m out sometimes I’ll run it full throttle for a little bit and then it will slow down to half speed. I dig that little Kubota-Tight turns, no problem 👌🏻

That Whaler coulda been a neat project, but you know better what worth getting down there.
The tractor though - great deal, great sounding engine, just wonder about that whine when turning.
The price for that tractor was a steal and the way the rear wheels turn that’s awesome 😎
you got a great deal on that tractor, change all fluids and keep a eye on fluid levels.
My favorite videos are you buying cleaning and driving the boat around
That was a very good deal congrad
general question . What do you use for a cleaner to get black off of boats ? I bought a 1997 Angler that needs a good cleaner . thanks
You got. Great deal on that mower!!! Nice job.
Love that place, bought a nice Hewes Redfisher there a few years ago on the cheap.
Tractor was a steel, great video showing how the auction works.
Handy review, I was only just pondering 🤔 about a modest excavator, even an ancillary from a PTO. 🍻 🦘🤙🏼
Wondering if you can help. I got an 8hp Mercury outboard 2 stroke. Was running then won’t start. Had mechanic work on and can’t figure it out. Has compression spark and fuel. Has us all baffled. Is there something that could cause it not to start?they had the flywheel off too.
Definitely like the video would love to see more just like that that mower is cool I’ve never seen one where the back wheels turn
@3:00, that's a battery powered "pusher" used to push cars at dealerships or car repair shops......
Motor on tractor is very clean, good purchase.
That mower was a total steal. Good job on that one for the win!
Some people get out of control with bidding, you go to a auction to find deals and buy cheap. You got a good deal on that mower. But the other items went for way to much. Nice video.

That micro mini ecscavator can be broken down and gotten in places you could push a shopping cart lol love them
Great buy on the Kubota. There was something on a pallet behind the tractor when you picked it up. Was it a bagger?
Hey. My name is Ty Kemp. Been watching you restore boats and wondered if you had any for sale? Would love to see what you have.
You absolutely stole it!!! Congratulations and happy for you. RS
2:58 That is a car pusher. Dealer ships used them to push cars that didn't run into the Mechanics shop bay..
Every transmission shop I have ever worked at had one of those, except one. That place used an old Ford Bronco with a pallet bolted to the bumper.
@@erice.1636 What a strange coincidence, I happen to own and drive an old Ford Bronco. LOL, True !!!.
At 1:20 that’s a Toro Groundmaster, believe it or not but that’s about a $90-100,000 dollar lawn mower. I wonder what that Lincoln welder sold for I want one.

Love old whalers, got one that I restored. The "Guardian"/commercial series shown have a heavier lay-up of cloth. Way tuffer/heavier
Good deal you got there nice. You can keep these video's coming bud i enjoy them.
Just started watching and love your videos I would like to get a boat like in your videos, but don’t know where to start. What and how to check if it’s a good buy. Do you have a video on that talks about how to start and what to check for?
At 12:16 you start up the mower. It looks like a grass catcher on the pallet behind the mower. Did that come with your purchase?
I'm UK based and find US auctions pretty interesting. More please!
I love it keep it coming. Especially boats. I want one to build one day
The tree service I worked for awhile used a big Carlton stump grinder like that. It uses a remote control. I believe he said one of them is like $80k an he had two of them. They are sick to watch in action.

I know easier said than done, but we REALLY want to see you buy a boat from one of these auctions
Very good deal on the tractor.
I think the AWS is cool.
Do the wheels have covers, or are those wheel weights?
Good for you. Looks like the tractor was a good purchase
That double deck pontoon boat 👀
Did you buy it? 🤔
you watch that boat guy
i didnt know that
I wish. Decided to put all my money on the overpriced police boat. 😂
@@ultimaterebuilds7127 did you win it? 🤔 Btw love ur vids. Never knew I watched this channel.
To Robin D further down : heat with torch , then Freeze it & soak by threads/ heads bolts crc ,wd40 ur similar
Those 300 series John Deere tractors go crazy high in my neck of the woods.
Good deal, great little tractor for the price
May I ask you where you might direct me to South American online resources?
You need to check the power steering fluid on there that's what that high pitch whine is is low fluid or it's been running low and the pump is done
You stole that lawn mower bud.
32 hrs. You stole that mower. Great job!
Auction videos with results are very interesting, thanks.
