Wow...it's really coming along. Fun to watch the incremental improvements until suddenly, it's all done. Would be fun to see a time-lapse video when you're all done from your first day rescuing Daisy to the final product!!
Brian your getting better all the time with her welding! My father with his 66 use to take a curved snow shovel and put a trouble light underneath it and put it under the engine so the engine would get some warmth which enabled the car to start easier on a cold morning especially since it was only a 6 volt system! I think Patina would like to hibernate over the winter!
Thank you for sharing. I think you welds are improving. You are so blessed to have Mustie1 to oversee your work. Daisy already looks better. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done. Daisy will respond positively to the love that you put into her repairs. Give Patina some skritchy scratches. She will continue her supervision once the garage is warmed.
Hey Brian I've been watching you and mustie 1 fixing the floor pans in your vw's my dad and I rebuilt some bugs too years ago...a little trick we use to do was to get fiberglass cloth and epoxy for fiberglass and put a couple of layers on the floor pan where the battery goes so the acid from the battery couldn't eat the floor pan away ....you might want to try that if your planning on keeping the bugs so you won't have to fix it again hope this is helpful for you .....good luck and just keep welding it's like everything else the more you do it the better you get at it
another great video. I must confess i have serious garage space envy my friend. You are lucky to have good friends and lots of space. count those blessings and keep doing these awesome videos. Best - mike
This series of vids will be a great help to me next year as i have to do the heater channels & floor on my daughters 72 . The 64 is coming back to be a good serviceable driver which is what i hope to do with her car as well. If you can find another bug which needs the inner arches where the bumpers bolt on replacing as well i could have a complete guide for reference. Her bug has also been at least 3 colours so waiting with baited breath to see how much metal is left. Definite improvement in your metal glueing skills. Good tunes too.
looking good bryan! she is coming along nicely. mustie 1 is a good teacher. its getting cold for driving my bus around but until the salt starts flying , I am still driving it once in a while.
You sure have an awesome friend in Mustie1 bro, he seams to have a heart of gold when it comes to helping others. The 64 is coming along just dandy. All the very best.
Hey Brian...just picked up a 66 that needs the usual....floors, heater channels, patches...etc...so this video of yours is very helpful...I’ll be posting my first video on the bug this Sunday! Come check it out! Steve Muller...
Thank you for bringing us along on your journey! I love it when your videos pop up and I watch each one. Congrats on the progress. Cannot wait to see what comes next!
I would call it a damn weld-a-thon... Excellent work sir huge thumbs ☝. The heater channel endcaps is exactly the area i have been cutting and picking at the last couple nights. Nice to see how you put it back together. Dreading the a+b pilliars.
Great editing in this video Bryan, I like the fast replay and voice overs. Just missing a few comical subtitles from Patina. Great to see that welding work come together.
first off , you know I made a comment about adding music to my vids . SO , I must say your music always has me toe tapping or be-boppin' along to your vids . Second , thank you and Mustie1 for this series on Daisy , great work !!! Oh and third , Voice overs worked well , like the transporter fest vid , good stuff !!!
You are doing great work Brian, keep learning from the "Professor" aka Mustie1 aka Darren, you may want to look up lizard skin products for some sound deadening insulation, it comes in gallon paint cans or more so that you can really quiet down the interior of Daisy. Patina needs a bone or a toy to chew on
Ahhhh I see you made it over to the super duper ultra secret auto motive Mustie1 man cave. Ok I don't know where I was going with that. So ummm you and Mustie were tag teaming Miss Daisy?. Damn that didn't sound right. You already had skillz, but Your getting better every day. Your confidence must be going up. Don't tell him I said this... But Mustie1 is a great teacher to have. Hahaha Stay warm. Laterz Brian.
Super secret location ? it's over at Mustie1's ..We know his location, He is very popular .... I 'll just say North ... Fixing the 64 is Coming along nicely Mr. B
To be honest ive not watched the majority of these because of the horrendous ear splitting, migraine inducing music choice, and I'd be suprised if i was alone in that choice, believe me i watch just about any mustie 1 related content but a lot of yours was just unwatchable due to non consumer friendly music, we'd much rather listen to the bacon sizzle and hear appropriate commentary about why doing like this or whatever the tips are, i actually unsubbed because your vids gave me a headache!
almost ready for fuzzy dice,
i agree thanks again Sir

hanks for watching granskare
Holy crap dude! You are wasting welding wire on them sausage welds. Try resetting your wire feed and your amperage. You are going too slow.
true. thanks for watching David
I enjoy Mustie 1 videos with no music. Why do people think it adds to the video? Just a distraction. If musti adds music I'll unsubscribe him also.
thanks for watching
