35 weeks and very interested and excited to try all these techniques! I've had to tell people as early as 12 weeks to please hold off on the labor horror stories, it really is crazy. My thinking is that its a matter of perspective. I'm sure these women also had positive aspects of their birth story but the way their mind is, they are wired to only speak on the negative, like some sort of rite of passage. I can't wait to be the mom that shares a positive story (hopefully with some humor) to my younger cousins and other women in my life ❤
I am 4’9 and a skinny girl. I am wanting to have a baby and get pregnant and be excited about it but i am so scared of birth and postpartum and stitches. Also the first time you go to the bathroom. All these things take my excitement away! I want to build a family and have more than one kid. My height, weight and everything else I listed above is making me do fearful.
Thanks for your message and for being so open and honest about your anxieties. I want you to know that your height and weight does not mean that you're going to struggle with pregnancy or birth. The most important thing when it comes to having a happy pregnancy and birth is birth preparation and education as well as learning to relax and trust your body. Your body is strong and powerful❤
I'm 4'9 and skinny too and currently 36 weeks pregnant with twins. Let me tell you, your body was made to do incredible things. Yes, your belly will be huge compared to the rest of your body, but it's really not that bad 😊 I gave birth to my daughter 3 years ago and had 16 stitches, those were not that painful either! More itchy as soon as they started to heal, but nothing too bad
That's normal! Many women are not dilated or having contractions at 39 wks. My labour started at 41.5 weeks. Just relax, if you stress about it, it tells your body that labour shouldn't start because you aren't relaxed. Your body wants you to feel safe and relaxed. Only then will labour start. Good luck. Remember this affirmation "my baby knows when to be born" & "my labour will start at the perfect time" 💕❤️
