@@Zoethechoirkid Well with an epidural you don't have pain anymore but it's just SUPER intense, the feeling of pressure is very overwhelming and I felt like something was stuck down there. Like a bowl movement but x 1000 and like you are constipated but at the same time feel intense waves of pressure. It was extremely unpleasant and I felt very anxious and like I couldn't do it. I preferred the pain of contractions. That being said I got an epidural at 3 cm, not because I couldn't deal with the pain anymore, it was still manageable but because I did not want to "feel everything" later on. And I'm glad I got it! Would have been so much worse if I had had to handle horrible contractions at the same time as what I described. The pain of contractions when you are more dilated is horrendous from what I hear. I mean I never understand when people are surprised by how much pain they are in during labour, I'm always like "duh, you think women screaming as if they were possessed happens for no reason" lol.
Omg yes I gave birth July 23rd 2020 to my baby boy and I got the epidural because I could not handle the contractions , and once I got the epidural the pain wasn’t bad at all anymore ! And pushing wasn’t so bad either but I did get so tired I felt like I was losing my breath but it feels so relieving once you push the baby out lol
Oh I thought I was the only one. My first 2 were natural and soooo intense so I had the epi with number 3 thinking I was gonna have a kourtney K birth but I still roared like a lion during the pushing. I was not expecting to feel the ring of Fire with an epi. I’m on number 4 and I definitely prefer no epi because the pain is gradual, the epi went from zero to 100 sooooo fast when he was coming out.
Don’t know why I keep doing this to myself and watching these different birthing experience videos. Due in 40 days and literally bawling my eyes out! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and intimate experience with us! This definitely helped in a strange way calm my nerves! God bless you guys 🙏

aw thank you for the support mama! It took me a good week or two to get over the shock from what I went through but I wouldnt change it for a thing. Im so grateful for a safe delivery and great recovery. I dont think anything could have prepared me for that intensity though.. sheesh birth is nuts. I'm a sixteen year old girl who happened to come across this and I didn't expect to cry. This is so beautiful and I hope one day that I have a family with a wonderful husband like you do. Thank you for sharing this amazing experience.
I’ve watched this twice and cried both times. I’m 40 weeks 1 day, first time mom, and I still can’t believe this will be happening to me any day! Thank you for sharing your experience!
I'm a little over 23 weeks pregnant & this is my third. Due to complications during my first delivery my first & second became C-Sections. I wanted nothing more than to deliver my babies the natural way. Biggest regret of my life but I gave it everything I had. They tried the vacuum and forceps but he was stuck. Thank you for sharing your birth story for all the first time Mom's who are anxious. What a beautiful & selfless thing to do. Great job Mama, Dad, and Staff that assisted. Beautiful baby! 🥺😭❤

When you were talking about your period cramps i kind of chuckled to myself. I understand you were experiencing labor for the first time but i went in with that same attitude as well with my first so u found it relatable. Active labor is in a whole different ballpark, when you said "I'll never think my period cramps are bad ever again" i teared up, cause same lmao. I'm due with #5 any day now, watching birth videos really helps me mentally prepare for the intensity of labor again.

Just wanted to tell you how much this video meant to me while pregnant. I had a baby seven months ago and I had so many well intending people who shared their unfavorable birth stories and questioned me on wanting a natural birth. I kept visiting this video as positive inspiration as I did whatever in my power to try to prepare for birth and a positive experience. I had a very similar birth story to you for my first baby and I am so thankful for you sharing your story.
So so so proud of you Nikole. You did it. You’re amazing and this was beyond special and emotional. That little peach is so cute. I’m so happy you’re dream of motherhood has come true. I love these videos showing strong woman what they can do.

Congratulations! Good job mama!! I remembered I was in labour for almost 7 days... My cervix started to thin out a week before my son was born. Similar to you, when I arrived at the hospital I was 8cm dilated so I was too late to get any medication and was ready to push! I think right after he came out, my feeling was like, relieved, is he ok (he is), and then hungry. Treasure this precious time! They grow so fast!

The faces the father Matt made when he was holding his baby 😂 too funny! I'm a visitor here but you did so amazing in the labour! You were so controlled through-out the pain, you made it look easy! That really inspired me for whenever I become pregnant with my future husband. God bless you both, I pray Jesus continues to give you both peace and strength. Congratulations on a daughter straight from the Most High King! What a privilege and a blessing! Each child is born with a special gift so we will see what that gift is as she grows older!
You were amazing. I to am crying watching this. Thank you for sharing this intimate part of your life. I am unable to have my own children so to see this I felt like I was experiencing it as well.

I hope to labor at home, then give birth unmedicated at the hospital with a midwife, so this video is exactly what I want to see! Thank you for sharing your whole experience. It's so helpful for me as a first-timer to see what it could look like: loud, strong, empowering, humbling. I'm praying for a similar experience for our little family in a few weeks!
Its crazy. Most women in my life have gone through this, and I know many who are pregnant. I don't ever hope to be pregnant, but who knows how that might change in 13ish years. Every time I see women still doing amazing things after giving birth. Bringing a fricking other life into this world, aways makes me tear up in joy. To all the wonderful moms, or soon to be moms, your amazing. If you can bring another life into this world, like my mom did for me, you can do anything
She was born the day I found out I was pregnant with baby 2! I'm due in a couple of weeks now, and this is SO INSPIRING for me! I ended up with an epidural my first labor, and I'm really going to try hard for an unmedicated birth this time around. Thank you for sharing this beautiful vlog! I'm totally crying!

Oh my, you had me crying. Yes giving birth is so real, so painful, but when you see the results you almost forget about it. ALMOST LOL! Your lives will forever be change as parents but what an experience to bring another human into this world and be able to teach them good moral values and love. Wish the best for you both 🥰
Oh God! I felt this as if it were my daughter giving birth! I'm so glad to know I wasn't the only one sobbing and feeling every single good and bad feeling all at the same time. I felt so much remorse like I was the dad, resentment for the pain, the desperation of "just pull her out!" The happiness of knowing she was about to go through the hardest most rewarding experience of her life, the feeling of needing to save her, hold her., To just make it stop... And I've had 4 myself.
I'm 4 weeks, 5 days with my first and this video made me bawl my eyes out!! I know this is an older video but thank you so much for sharing your journey, even for those of us just now starting it!! You did amazing!
Thank you for not cutting too many of the contractions and telling how you were feeling it and where. Too many videos I see have them cut away from the contractions and I'm like " no how did you get through them!?"
I'm currently tracking just on 38 weeks and, honestly, this video made me feel so connected to my own experience and baby, and I just wanted to thank you for putting it all out there. It has been immensely valuable for me as a first time pregnant mom and I'm starting to feel more prepared to face my own natural unmedicated birth. ❤
I was induced with my daughter and gave birth without an epidural, and for whatever reason I feel so much shame (even now, almost four years later) about how I felt I didn't cope well with the pain, how distressed I was, how loudly I screamed. Watching this video brought tears of absolute admiration to my eyes and has made me rethink my labour experience. I'm 25 weeks pregnant with our son now and this has really helped me to feel empowered and proud that I've done this once (induction contractions are like NOTHING I've ever experienced and there was no time to prepare for them), so I can certainly do it again. Thank you SO much for posting the most raw and beautiful moments of your lives to inspire and encourage us all xx

You did it!! So amazing girl!!! Brought me to tears, reminds me so much of the birth of my two babies. Most intense and special experience at the same time! Welcome baby Sage!! 💛
aw thank you for the support mama! It took me a good week or two to get over the shock from what I went through but I wouldnt change it for a thing. Im so grateful for a safe delivery and great recovery. I dont think anything could have prepared me for that intensity though.. sheesh birth is nuts. Your little girl has strawberry blonde hair too, no?

Love the name Sage!
Do you want a third baby?

I’ve watched this twice and cried both times. I’m 40 weeks 1 day, first time mom, and I still can’t believe this will be happening to me any day! Thank you for sharing your experience!

I can’t fathom doing this at all let alone with out an epidural. This woman is a warrior mom most definitely.
I’m not crying, you’re crying 🥲 Great job, momma! You crushed your birth journey. I hope I’m able to stay as calm, collected and as strong as you did! ❤️
That was one of the most beautiful birth vlogs I've ever seen. To see her come out really made me cry. So happy for all of you. X
this makes me tear up! Thank you xo
Watching this at 14 weeks and suffering so bad from morning sickness 😅 but it gives me encouragement that I can make it through this and hold my baby in the end too❤
Hope you're doing well ❤
hope you’re doing okay!!
Watching this at 15 and a half weeks pregnant myself, already so excited to meet baby boy 🥹
My epidural was magical✨ I felt a tiny bit a pain. I can’t imagine how much pain you felt you are so brave girl!
Near the end drugs were looking pretty good haha I think you made the smarter choice!
@@HealthNutNutrition no! I mean either is fine but both have pros and cons so I wouldn't call one a smarter choice!
😇
Epidurals for life! I'm not sure I could do it without one!
Epidurals can leave life-long back pain where the catheter went in. Thats a side effect you don’t hear about.
oh my god im 6 months pregnant and this horrified me and moved me emotionally. you made me cry
Girl I'm 6 months pregnant too and I feel the exact same way!! Good luck with rest of your pregnancy and delivery

I know you’ve had Sagey girl for a while now, but I’m a 7month pregnant mama and I felt like I had to watch it! Every time you had a contraction I was crying and cheering you on and saying “you go mama! You can do it!”, “you’re a strong mama”. I cried every time you pushed and was unbelievably proud of you even though we’ve never met!! I cannot wait to meet my little boy in November/ December, this was just so beautiful. Congratulations again on a healthy birth, and AMAZING JOB to you and Matt 🤍🤍

This was beautiful from start to finish, I'm due to have my first baby in 11 weeks and seeing this amazing woman deliver her daughter like an absolute boss has put me so at ease after worrying about every little thing from day one. Congratulations mama, you Queen! What a beautiful little girl and a wonderfully supporting partner you have too. I loved this, made me cry 💜
Thank you for sharing this most intimate moment in your life, this was incredibly empowering to watch. I’m just so amazed, I totally cried when you were labouring in the hospital, how touching! Makes me feel much more comfortable with the idea of my own labour next year! Thank you! 💗
This is the most emotional video I've ever seen!! I started crying when the midwife said the head is out. You did an amazing job Nikole!! Sage i's such a cutie 😍😭. I'm 15weeks pregnant now and watching this video makes me even more stronger in having a normal delivery. Thank you so much Nikole for this!! Really helps. ❤️❤️❤️
This was so beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us. I cried for you when you were pushing and I cried with you when you held her. All the feels! You have the most beautiful baby girl. 💕
thank you for the virtual support xo
When you were talking about your period cramps i kind of chuckled to myself. I understand you were experiencing labor for the first time but i went in with that same attitude as well with my first so u found it relatable. Active labor is in a whole different ballpark, when you said "I'll never think my period cramps are bad ever again" i teared up, cause same lmao. I'm due with #5 any day now, watching birth videos really helps me mentally prepare for the intensity of labor again.
My mother's friend had her fifth miscarriage a year ago and now she is finally pregnant with her fist child

Its crazy huh?! I can imagine it goes fast.. Im trying to just soak up this time as much as I can
