Just wanted to comment to say thank you! I found you pretty late in my pregnancy and in fear of labour and birth, your videos just made sense to me and I began practicing the breaths and read your book (so fast!)
When I came to be in labour I remembered everything I had read and did the breathing techniques. Initially I did take gas and air but quickly realised I didn't need it, the up breathing was far more effective! I went on to have a completely natural water birth and the experience was so magical.
My little girl is now three weeks old and I'm telling everyone about you!
Thank you so much for all of your advice xx

Finally a breath technique/guided breathing that lets me finish breathing out - I've always found people start counting to breathe in again way before I'm ready!

Hi. I just wanted to say your video helped me so so much during childbirth. I went in expecting a c section as I had planned for one due to psychological fear of a vaginal delivery. However my water broke early and labour progressed so fast in my case that the doctor recommended I try the vaginal way because a c section would be risky. I had of course prepared for both births, not thinking that I’d ever use these breathing techniques. 😅 during both stages of labour I was able to implement your up and down breathing. Up breathing during those frequent contractions was extremely difficult but I tried my best. It was so painful but I was able to be distracted slightly. Down breathing they way you explained (in the other video) was so helpful! I truly felt the progress I was making. I was mentally picturing your instructions during these phases😊
Thank you for a short and simple explanation.

I’ve had 5 labors (about to go into my 6th in 4 weeks!) your videos have been the best labor helps that I have found. Breathing DEFINITELY works and really minimizes discomfort during the contractions

This video was truly the main thing that helped me through my second birth. With my first I had gas, 10s machine, epidural. With my second, nothing. All mainly because I was just focused on breathing and managing through that. Also the knowledge of this video that gave me the awareness to trust my body. Thank you!

I’m so grateful for your book, videos and all the work you do. Whenever I have pain or tension in my body now I do up breathing and it doesn’t take long for it to disappear. Thanks to hypnobirthing I’m now more excited than scared about giving birth.

Trying to get my sinuses cleared from Covid… I’m close to 38 weeks and I’m praying I can get my breathing back before labor kicks in! (Watching this video currently with a nose bleed too… ugh.)
Breathing was a total game changer from my first to second birth! ♥️

@@agirlaguyandababy7555 thankfully recovered from Covid! Baby was due yesterday and I thought I was going into labor last night! Couldn’t sleep through contractions, so took a melatonin at 1am and everything stopped and I slept. :/ waiting for them to get back up in frequency and intensity…

This video and the other on down breathing are truly amazing and simple videos. I used the techniques shown in both when labouring and giving birth to my beautiful baby boy last week. I used gas and air in conjunction with the techniques for the last 3hrs of labour and that was it no other drugs or pain killers. Cannot explain how thankful i am to have found these wonderful videos and to have followed through with the advice given 🙂

Hi thank you for this. I can't breath out longer than I breathe in though as I have the same amount of air. I find when I try to extend my out breath for double of my in breath there is no air left after 4 seconds.
