Tell you what mate, after looking at loads of other stuff on You Tube about droplinks, I'd say this is one of the best. Some great tips in there and excellent close ups. Thanks for posting.
Fantastic, my drop links need replacing before next year, and know the cheap garage is going to charge £40 parts + £50 labour... watching this, think it'll be a nice home job. Thanks for the video!
There in the U.K. (track rod end) here in the U.S. (tie rod end) . There ( drop link ) here (sway bar link) . Just in case people here go to an auto parts dealer and don't want to look like a lumpty!! You made it look as easy as it really is .
Thanks to your video Tony i did the track rods and drop links on my van , i bought a kit from e bay for £45 and it took me about 2 hrs to do it , i had got a quote from kwik fit to do the same job for £160 not inc re setting the tracking , so i am well pleased . Cheers mate and please carry on making great videos .
Great video Tony my combo van failed the m o t with failed drop links watching this it was easy thank you very much loved your video straight to the point.
Thanks for this video bro. Great advice, quick instructions. I noticed you didn't use a jack to hold up the arm when taking off the drop link which is what people do, but I was trying to look for a video where someone doesn't and you seemed to do it no problems.
My van failed MOT for anti-roll bar ball joint dust cover excessively deteriorated so that it no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (2.4.G.2) and Anti-roll bar has excessive play in a ball joint Offside Front Upper.I've got to try and do this over the weekend, thanks for the Video Tony... ps Looks like Twydall area..
Binksybouncy Castle Hire & Softplay Hire hi thanks for your comment and yes you are correct that is Twydall area quite a while ago now but hope it helps
Great vid.... ive changed dozens of them... they came off easy...often they dont and rust has expanded the threads so much its impossible to undo the nut... Worst case if WD40 has failed to work, Heat.... or strut or anti roll bar removal (depending on which end is buggered) if not enough access for an angle grinder while working on the car...
@@g4smo Deffo... just done two on a M3 Honda CRV today... Drivers side went fine... Near side, disaster ... Strut off but angle grinder persuaded it !!
Good video! Nice and short and straight to the point. I'd heard it was easier if you get both front wheels off the ground so your not fighting with the anti-roll bar - do you know if this true? Nice one - keep it up!
thanks for the brilliant feedback. the good comments have encouraged me to start making new videos. I'll put more up in the next few weeks. thanks again
I did this today on my corsa d 2007, using your video as a guide. I ended up having to cut the top nut off as the part where the spanner goes on, had rounded off. What should have taken an hour to do both sides, took me 5 hours. Thanks anyway.
Hi Tony. Mine's just starting to make that noise now and getting louder mate, I can't afford to get it done for around a week, would it be ok to run with it for that long? Thanks. I subbed.
Hi, wouldn't like to say either way. Obviously if its making a noise it shouldn't be drive. And in regards to the law the car is unroadworthy. But ill also say that in my younger days I've been in the same situation and risked it alot longer. Its your steering. Be careful
Probably one of the best instructional videos I've seen on sway bar link replacement. I'm ready to tackle mine now.

I have a 1989 ford contour. The sway bar has a bracket . Made on to the breack drum.can you show a vieto on this ?
1998
very helpfull thanks mate
when these go does it causing knocking when you hit bumps
anti-roll bar D-bushes can cause this too, and/or bottom ball joint.
nice video mate
nice one fella
Great, thanks mate.

Tony thankyou mate
cheers mate. good feedback
sencillo y rápido el si sabe 👍👍👍
cheers. thanks for the feedback
piece of cake. come down my way ill show ya how to take the motor
yes it can cause a knock. however it also could be something else such as the shock. or a number of things. best to get a second opinion
Wow I've never in my life seen brake discs that thin . Pause at 6.07
Make your mind up.
Is it a drop link or a track rod end!😂
just the camera angle. years ago now
no. you have to replace the whole drop link. the rubbers are permanent attached to keep Grease in the joint. if they split it's a mot failure. sorry
jobs a good one
That's how to make a vid. Take note all you vid makers
55studabaker thanks bro
The drop links was the first U replaced 😂
Drop links being called track rod ends and vice versa its all happening here.
Wasn't used to doing a commentary as working on a car
