Some background information about me:
I'm Lisette, 45 years old and i'm Dutch (hence the accent). Twelve years ago I moved to France with Mr A. where we converted an old farmhouse into a Bed&Breakfast. We love living in the French countryside together with our girls, Marie (9y) and Annick (7y). I'm quite new to crafting. In October 2020 I discovered Paint by Numbers for adults and quickly thereafter Diamond Painting. I was hooked immediately. This channel is a way to share my passion for crafts with likeminded people and take on some fun, bold and crazy challenges. I think I need both the women in gold and the kiss now 😍😂 I have seen them at the shops before but never seen them unboxed. I'm currently working on the Women in Gold, it's HUGE and I didn't realise there were so many shades of orange, I do small patches of it and then leave it for a while as it can get a bit over-whelming when you realise how much more there is to do. I'm currently doing a smaller piece which is fun and making progress on that but now you've got me excited with this un-boxing.. *trots off to Amazon to order.....
Hi Ninette -yes, Woman in Gold is HUGE..I got a bit demotivated at a certain stage, but...In the end it's worth it. I'll be cheering you on - will you keep me updated?
@@LisetteCraftsandTells WiG is currently a bit neglected, I keep looking at it, realise how much there is to do and go back to the smaller piece. I will let you know how I get on. 😊

I finished the woman in gold and it's a stunner. I got the woman in gold for Xmas present and just finished in April. I don't get to diamond paint everyday so it took me a while. I had hard time with getting the Kiss but it finally arrived. Hope Diamond Dotz does more Klimt and other old masters. Love your channel.

@@LisetteCraftsandTells I just checked and unless I am wrong (I just discovered this craft and am already obsessed!), it looks like its titled Lady with Fan. Will you be getting it? I'm a bit shocked at their website...many items are out of stock and barely any description to their tools. (Many are self-explanatory, but I am interested in their light pads and have no idea what sizes they carry, aside from the A3. How frustrating!)
Diamond dotz is coming out with another one of his painting around June or July I heard. He is one of my favorite artist.

Hi Lisette! How are you doing? I came back to rewatch this after ordering the Kiss. I am planning framing for my Woman in Gold about 1/3 complete. I like the original longer version of the Kiss with the flowers on bottom but gotta have the special drills & similar drills with this Kiss version. My question is how does this piece compare with WIG as far as hanging them next to or near each other symmetry wise? Have you put your two canvases next to each other or hung them? I could get a giant frame for WIG and center it on one wall area or have it and the Kiss on the same wall area. Anyway are you done with this yet? Love to see it side by side with WIG!
So sorry for not getting back sooner - It's a bit busy over here. The Kiss definitely is smaller than WIG. I do think it's possible to display them together though - since they are so similar in style. I never hang my canvases, so sorry - I really can't help you with that aspect. I haven't done the Kiss yet. After finishing WIG I decided to wait for a bit, before tackling a same kind of project.
How long have you been keeping this in the bag??? I haven’t watched it yet!!!
