As if I needed another reason to love/respect you…’it’s just a tool kit’. And in my opinion, a let-down. But that’s personal and others may think it’s great. I think it’s meh…if anything, it made me NOT want to buy from DAC. I actually went to my wish list and deleted 3/4 of it after I saw that tool kit. I got real ‘let’s do this as cheaply as we can’ vibes from DAC over that tool kit. Again it’s very personal. But I had zero desire to send DAC a few hundred more dollars just because of the pick’n place pen. Yes I did have a win this week. I packed up four kits and gifted them to the lady who introduced me to diamond painting, and mailed 5 more to my daughter. Some were budget, some were premium. Really whittled down my stash 🎉

Oh you are spot on. It’s just a tool kit. For once though I’m actually going to test it out. Can’t wait to hear the big announcement!

Hi Lizette, that’s for the extra motivation on doing a diamond painting detox. Have a lot to do to detox and will also limit myself to what number I’m not 100% sure to how many that limit will be.

Hi Lisette! I do love your system and I always look forward to see how you are doing. I know how miserable allergies are as I’m in Massachusetts (up north) and they hit me too. Never had them this bad before. Matter of fact I didn’t even have allergies until now. Just getting old I guess. I’m glad you’re having fun with your paintings again. Keep up this great system. I’m still working through WHIPs and have only bought 3 so far this year, so much better on control. Thank you for all you do to help keep us in line. Peace and love abide with you 💕

I been seeing messages with the New too, kit, people desperate to get one 🤷‍♀️ No i am still on a no buy have been actually for a year. Yes there are some stunning paintings Most of them sell out so fast ,sadly some don’t come back 😢 but i have told my self Its not meant to be ,i don’t need it ,got my own small stash to get on with. My hubby said it too ,he doing Amsterdam canal ( the symbols are too small print for my eyes) he too found a few difficult but he made fantastic progress 😅.I am enjoying doing Christmas cuddles ,so pleased i finished couch Dragon 🎉 . Thank you for making me feel less weird about not caring about the toolkit 😂 I've had so many conversations in the last couple of weeks where people absolutely freaked out because I said I don't care, it's just a toolkit. The standard reply was "oh but why would you not want to have one". I have this crazy idea of trying a six month no-buy from tomorrow (1 July) until the end of the year. I've made a little tracker for it, and I'm going to reward myself with either a Diamond Painting Deutschland or Jaded Gem Shop kit at the end of it. It's going to be hard, I realise that, but I really want to try. It's been too easy to ignore how many diamond paintings I have because they are all packed away neatly, and GemsFlow doesn't really show you how many you have since it's just a list. But since I've started using your system I've gotten a visual, and it scares me a bit 😅 I know I will eventually get around to all of them. I've just realised I really don't need to add any more (for now).

Hi Lisette - thanks for another video setting things into perspective. Every WE a little devil 😈 on my left shoulder tries to convince me that it is absolutely legit to select a kit in order to get my hands on the new accessories from DAC. But as for now I managed to get reasonable on before buying 🤪 as DAC wrote thr new kit came to stay so I will get one somewhen and give it a try… 😏 hope hay fever will ‘vanish’ soon. 😊

The new tool kit was definitely something that I wanted, but luckily DAC came out with a diamond painting that I HAD to have due to the imagery (and normally they’re only wish list worthy and “I NEED to buy this!”), so I don’t feel entirely bad. I can’t say I’m using the new tray all too much, due to my Add More Zest trays (of which I only have two), but I do love the new pen, as it’s perfect for ABs. I did also buy two more diamond paintings this week, but one I’ve been waiting to come back in stock for six months, and the other cost the same as tax and shipping (since I didn’t meet free shipping). Still, I don’t think I’d buy a DAC kit if they didn’t come out with stuff that I absolutely needed to have. Where I can store my stash and completed paintings is extremely limited, and the budget is a concern, so I have to be extremely mindful as to what I purchase.

Trying to get down to a year's worth, not there yet. I am doing a 'have to do two before I buy one' thing, so hopefully someday I will get it down. I did pass on two of my paintings to someone who couldn't afford any more, and also told a friend that I didn't want one painting she was going to send me. That being said, I have both of new tool kits, one I ordered with a painting that I wanted, and two from mini's. The two mini's have the smaller tray. I don't think you are missing anything. Still using my old pen and an old tray most of the time.

Not Lisette being the voice of reason! I just ordered some Diamond Art Club for the first time and i can see why its so addictive. The specials and drops that go on that can make overconsumption easy. i ordered 4 from the site and 2 from destash groups and THATS IT!

While your system makes sense to me, I could never do it this way. It's a very visual way of doing things, and my "want to" will give out before I update things. I like my method of using Excel to track all the information and gemflow as a visual of what I have. While I have an excessively large stash of around 580, I don't think I could ever keep it under 50. Now, I don't recommend going over 100 in your stash as I have found that my stash is unhandleable, not because I could never finish them. I'm in my 30s, so I have plenty of time, but it takes up too much space and is a money sink I regret on some level. And the tool kit thing is so weird. It's just a tool kit and honestly there a waste for most of us. I haven't used a tool kit since my 5 kit. I wish they would let us opt out of them.

I think I'm the exception because I use the toolkit that's included 😂 I purchased pens, wax, putty and washi tape from destash groups and small shops when i first learned about premium kits and shops. I don't use them. I've tried the new toolkit from DAC, but want to complete a full-size canvas before I form an opinion about it.

Definitely hard to resist the FOMO. I had the Mrs butterd kit in my card but didn't check out either will keep hoping it will stay on till next year so if I still feel the same way about it then I can get it.

Thank you again for this video that reminds me that I really do not need anymore DPs. I have not buy for a couple of weeks. I'm also trigger with the DAC New Pen. I know I will buy one but it's going to be one that I absolutely want, so I'm waiting. I am impatiently waiting for your tomorrow's vidéo. 😉🫶

I've been diamond painting for four years and I only use the toolkits that come with the kit. I feel like I'm an outlier because I haven't bought additional accessories.

Hi Lisette, I went through exactly the same musings about the tool kit! Just like you said, it is only a tool kit after all, and you can bet I probably won't even like the pen after all. It can most definitely wait. Have a good week, and I hope your hay fever gets better.

Great message. The FOMO is real and the excitement of something new can make it hard to resist buying another kit we don’t really need. During my 1st year of Diamond painting I purchased about 60 kits. Now in my third year I’ve only ordered 10. In that time, I’ve learned what manufacturers I prefer and what type of image I like to work on. Example, I hate working on big sections of color blocking so I avoid anything with a central figure and a solid color all around it. I can appreciate a beautiful image, but don’t really need to do it as a Diamond painting. P.S. it is a good thing you didn’t order Magic Arcade for the new tool kit, cause I did buy that one for the image not tool kit, and it came with the old toolkit. 💜

I bought a diamond painting yesterday (June 29). My first one since April 17. That is amazing restraint for me! And I think it will include the new toolkit, so I resisted a few weekends before getting one. Thank you for the update! Looking forward to your full review of JGS.

I'm confused Lisette. In my mind, it would make sense if you have to get back up to 24 total in your yellow binder before you can remove finishes again.

I bought two of the small food items and make up box to try them. I caved.

I'm still plugging away. Finished a few more.
