    This quilt has been on my to do list for soooo long, and now I’m about to start. Have a heap of bright scrappy fabrics in my stash and have just bought a few plains. Rewatching your instructions has been a joy, can’t wait to start cutting and piecing tomorrow. Thank you Stuart.

      Such a shame he doesn’t use this ‘Lovely Voice’ when speaking to retail staff. Witnessed him myself arguing with retail staff in one of my local stores, very aggressively and very arrogant. Pity really.

    I'm so glad I found you. Watched a few minutes, paused got my layer cake together. I put together 3 blocks, 8.5 onto another quilt trimmed down to 8 inches. Beautiful

    This would be a fun quilt to make over time, a block or two with fabrics from each of our projects, save a box until you have enough to assemble.

    Stuart, it is the middle of the night and I can't sleep. I enjoyed your video very much. The quilt in this video is just GORGEOUS, truly a thing of beauty! I just LOBE how it is all different colors but it is so cohesive. I also like how you explained your wavy lines quilting technique. I have never been one for stitching in the ditch. I aggree, straight lines are difficult, at least for me. Thank you so much for the video. I am very interested in the book!

    Thank goodness you're back! I was worried. Thank you for the great ideas in this one. I really love doing screp quilts and still have plenty having made a huge pile of 10 inch squares with strips of varying width sewn on the diagonal. Now for the bigger bits.

    Hi. I like your clear and simple explanation. I've subscribed . I am new to quilting and would have loved to see the back side of the beautiful quilt. In all the videos I have seen on UA-cam, no one EVER shows the back side of their quilt. Why is that? Would appreciate a quick video on how it looks like before and after. Thank you.

    So happy I came across your channel. I am a pink person and was thinking I should just sew them all together in squares, instead of some fancy pattern. Appreciate the tips! Only thing that bothered me is your sewing machine was in the way, making it hard to see what you were doing. Look forward to another tutorial.

      Nancy Miller, not everyone is so sensitive to those sounds. Perhaps a small roller or clean brayer would work better for you. I have a clean wallpaper seam roller I use.

    Hi Stuart. I’ve had an accuquilt go for quite a while. But I’ve only used it a few times. Since I’ve found your channel about a week ago, I started getting interested in it. So I started cutting out a bunch of scraps. Then I decided to make a quilt that used my 5 inch square die. The problem is they don’t turn out to be a perfect 5 inch every time. I measured the die, and of course it is right, but I can’t figure out why they’re not coming out perfectly. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

    • @debrastallings2892
      @debrastallings2892 4 роки тому

      Jo Ann Bishop It might be that your fabric isn’t ready for cutting. Did you wash it? Is it wrinkled even if it’s “just” wrinkles from the bolt. Those crinkled edges and crooked folds, too! I usually don’t have a problem with fresh from the quilt store fabric, but if it’s from my stash, I use a little spray starch to give the fabric more body and revive it from months (years) of sitting on a shelf. I really like the AccuQuilt system. I use the strip and the 2 ½ “ square dies the most, but have played with a Block On Board die. Seems like you get more cutting for your dollar when all of your shapes are on one or two dies!

    • @joannbishop892
      @joannbishop892 4 роки тому

      Debra Stallings I’m using unwashed batiks, and I iron it first so there are no wrinkles. ?

    If you wanted a bigger quilt you could add sashing between each block & a border all round it.Plus you could QAYG each row & join together after all quilted. Are you going to be watching g the GBSB?
