The little bits you start and end with are called leaders and enders. You can use 2 squares or scraps sewn together for some other project, and save your thread, or your 4 squares for the coloured 4-patch? When you sew columns and leave them attatched, it's called web piecing. Brilliant for larger more intricate layouts too. Very versatile block. Thank-you. All the best.
Awesome!! I know the Bernina 570 qe has a needle down button you just press it if you need to do some sewing with the needle down and when you are done just push the button again and it will set your machine back to regular sewing with the needle up. Hope that makes since. That way you don't have to keep pressing that other needle down button😊..... or i can just mind my own business lol either way enjoy your new Bernina!
Love this design, I have lots of scrappy 2 1/2” squares. I tend to cut up all my leftovers from my quilts into all size squares and rectangles. Have several boxes. Now I know what I’m doing tomorrow, thanks.
I love making these kind of blocks I will save my two and a half inch strips up to 10 in and then when I'm ready to make a bunch of these blocks I use a clipped Corner ruler and you can get six two and a half inch clipped Corners out of each of those 10 inch strips
I’ve been doing this block thinking todo a lap quilt ,question do you think a sashing in between would be okay ??? Love the block. Love your channel! Thank you 🇨🇦
Brilliant demonstration thank you, love those ideas. I notice you’re using the oliso pop up iron. I thought this couldn’t be used with the uk voltage? Thanks, Vonney
