    Would you go for the Warrior, drop $40K more on a Land Cruiser GR Sport…or build your own?

    No need for tech out bush. Love it.
    Been up the Cape,all over the Gulf doing 4x4 tours & had a great time without apple,androids & whatever other yuppie stuff.
    Good job Nissan.
    Thanks Chasing Cars,great review.

      nah, need those creature comforts.
      Android Auto: No need to update offroad maps, you've got spotify and audible, you can also ask google random questions like "where is the closest auto electrician to replace the Y62 dash"

    The steering does have height as well as rake. There is two different levers for each. One underneath, one on the side, one for each purpose

    We love our Y62 in the Philippines. We only get the LE model and we have the upgraded infotainment however we pay 140k aus dollars converted. You can't get a Landcruiser in a dealership unless you want to wait for 2 years. If you want to get a Landcruiser on the spot you have to pay 200k aus dollars. So i find my y62 a bargain

    Interior doesn't bother me for what it is capable of. When I'm finished with long range remote touring, I would like to get one of these. Probably by then, this will be in six cyl version.

    what I see is the y62 is hard to fail and basically Bullet proof

    Proven tough as nails no BS patrol off the factory floor Aussie ready 4WD. I’d take this anyday over technology exploring Oz.

    As flash as it is its still a proper tough off road 4x4 unlike the landcruiser 300, i would be sorry to see the V8 go

    I would love to see how this version tows a 3plus ton caravan. As many buys get a nissan patrol for but I like the look of it as far!

    For a title mentioning 'sounding' there is an awfull little engine sound time in this video.

    This is not a-typical from Nissan, always hesitant to update their line-ups in smaller markets.

    Not worth it deadset. Just like 79 series owners throw a canopy on the back and apparently, it's worth 200k premcar has done the same here

    My uncle is a auto electrician he reckons those hybrids are dangerous if you go mucking around with them the amount of current going through them will kill you

    Diesel is more expensive than petrol now, swings and rounabouts. 40k buys allot of fuel

    i have always liked the y62 patrol 5.6L sure sounds good when you get into it the interior was ok in 2013 when my grandfather brought his accept for the stupid left hand drive center console and shifter but it has not aged well when other markets have had a refresh or two the R&D is already done and we get nothing that's dumb oh wait we got the series 3 refresh i think it was that used a right hand drive console and shifter great job nissan
    i drove it and my grandfather to pick up fire wood and the transmission hunts with an empty trailer but loaded with 3tons it seems to cure the hunting over all 270k kms later it still drives great but the interior is barely acceptable in 2013 let alone 10years later

    I'm interested in purchasing a patrol but for a 2024 model and the price premium this is a gimmicky bucket of crap.
    Nissan desperately need to bring the infotainment system up to 2024 standards and Premcar should be offering a harrop supercharger option. It's basically just a lifted ti...with a bash plate and ugly wheels
    No thanks.

    It's not a Nissan, it's Renault that's the main problem

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  Рік тому +3

      As far as Nissans go, this one is not related to Renault (but sure, they have been part of the Alliance for a long time, so I guess you can argue their influence is always there)

      The Patrol is still a Nissan only with no input from Renault, unlike the rest of the Nissan cars.
      The new Patrol will be a different story tho and it's why people like my self are buying these as this car does everything i need.(camping, fishing and touring ) The VK56VD is a damn good engine and it's a proven one with how many are taken around Australia.
      Also you can run 91 in it, but the ECU will bring the timings back down to compensate for the lower ron fuel and to avoid knock but and you will take a hit in power.

    The side exhausts are fake LOL

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  Рік тому +1

      No they aren't; at low rpms, the side exhausts are bypassed and the existing rear exhaust is used, at high RPMs exhaust is directed to the side outlets

    • @Stevegrande1
      @Stevegrande1 Рік тому +1

      Not fake at all. Above 3000 rpm or flick the gearbox to manual mode and it opens up
