Can you do the dry test please Paul. As usual awesome. I think this is testament to a proven platform that has just gotten better. I’m really surprised how impressed you are at how good it is in everything except braking. If you could sort a dry run that would be awesome! Cheers
What functioned and was constructed in the days of our grandmothers now appears to be a stack of inferior electronic components. Honestly the Nissan is nowhere near as good as the Toyota in this regard, and if it weren't for the old V8 engine and traditional 4WD system that still doesn't lose its face, it would surely be swept into the dustbin of time. With Nissan's lack of progress in this area, you can imagine it won't take long for it to be beaten by something else, and even a cheap Chinese-built electric SUV could piss on its head.
Hi there, I own 2019 LC200 GXL with 60000km. I am thinking about getting a Patrol. 5yrs warranty, 24hrs roadside assistance and capped service seem attractive. However, I am confused with resale value after 5yrs or parts availability. Any suggestions guys?
Why produce the much better looking Armada and then spring this half arse attempt, you can make a GTR, a timeless classic, the Nissan Z, hell even the 370z, and then you throw Hilux quality interiors in the flagship 4wd
to expensive, v6 will do a good job, in 2025, v8 is too much petrol today when 1 L is 2 dollars it is shocking!! piano black is perfect, i love it, like s &c class Mercedes, best color
Could have at least blacked everything out that we have asked for since the first y62 series and go ahead and get rid of the horrible interior infotainment.... nissan really let the mark down here with the patrol everything else about the patrol is great but its let down by its ugly ass chrome junk and infotainment along with dash and steering wheel... lucky enoug that people like dash offroad exist to fix this but not something you want to think "hey i better go buy my whole new dash, infotainment and steering wheel" the same day you order the car.....
Looks wise, it has deteriorated; a Patrol with a aftermarket accessories looks better (bull bar - wheel arch cladding). Tech that is too dated, an interior that looks far too old and cheap (2019 Landcruiser looks like a step above) and average seats (but far better than a Grand Cherokee L which are too hard) have ruled out the Patrol in general for me. After looking for a proper full sized 7 seat suv (not after a van/mpv) i.e. where adults can fit in the third row for an hour get away, ended up at a used Merc GL 63 AMG (originally was planning a GLS 350) with certified Mercedes warranty and another 3 years of Mercedes Australia Dealer Network warranty. I would have preferred an off road three rower but the Patrol and Jeep (having previously owned a 3.6 JK Wrangler previously) were far too off and the Landcruiser too small. Fingers cross the next Patrol will fit this brief. For your reference, the Patrol is not efficient for even a V8 based on my experience with the GL 63 AMG; highway go down to the 13s and with urban driving can push into 20 but with 110kw more
Your paying all that money for piano black and no stopping in the wet . The 4wheel driving is good though and the V8 sounds great but still too much price for what you get . Paul , i dread the door closing part of your reviews because 9/10 an add starts to play :-)

Does it come with solid front axles, all the mall crawler bullshit stripped out and priced like 4x4s used to be? I mean seriously, the Patrol was 50k in the early 2000s or about 80k in todays money.
Paid $49,000 on road for our new GU auto in January 2017.
Took a lot of talking, but we achieved it. T'was an absolute bargain.
Aside from a great deal, we got a GVM upgrade (organised and paid for separately) prior to dealership registering it.
$49K on road, laughing 👍.
PLS REVIEW THE NISSAN PATHFINDER!!!!!
Can you do the dry test please Paul. As usual awesome. I think this is testament to a proven platform that has just gotten better. I’m really surprised how impressed you are at how good it is in everything except braking. If you could sort a dry run that would be awesome! Cheers
It’s ALWAYS raining
😢
Nissan patrol interior in middle east is insane
What functioned and was constructed in the days of our grandmothers now appears to be a stack of inferior electronic components. Honestly the Nissan is nowhere near as good as the Toyota in this regard, and if it weren't for the old V8 engine and traditional 4WD system that still doesn't lose its face, it would surely be swept into the dustbin of time. With Nissan's lack of progress in this area, you can imagine it won't take long for it to be beaten by something else, and even a cheap Chinese-built electric SUV could piss on its head.
19.6L/100km? How are you driving it? 😂😂 It shouldn't be this thirsty.
Hi there, I own 2019 LC200 GXL with 60000km. I am thinking about getting a Patrol. 5yrs warranty, 24hrs roadside assistance and capped service seem attractive. However, I am confused with resale value after 5yrs or parts availability. Any suggestions guys?
What a joke? Plastic, exhaust and a lift 🥴
No real performance upgrade at all!
Why produce the much better looking Armada and then spring this half arse attempt, you can make a GTR, a timeless classic, the Nissan Z, hell even the 370z, and then you throw Hilux quality interiors in the flagship 4wd
With that outdated infotainment system, might as well buy used Patrol, it'll cheaper too.
KO2s are terrible tyres
to expensive, v6 will do a good job, in 2025, v8 is too much petrol today when 1 L is 2 dollars it is shocking!! piano black is perfect, i love it, like s &c class Mercedes, best color
Could have at least blacked everything out that we have asked for since the first y62 series and go ahead and get rid of the horrible interior infotainment.... nissan really let the mark down here with the patrol everything else about the patrol is great but its let down by its ugly ass chrome junk and infotainment along with dash and steering wheel... lucky enoug that people like dash offroad exist to fix this but not something you want to think "hey i better go buy my whole new dash, infotainment and steering wheel" the same day you order the car.....
very good and great vehicle
For your reference, the Patrol is not efficient for even a V8 based on my experience with the GL 63 AMG; highway go down to the 13s and with urban driving can push into 20 but with 110kw more
Toyota or Nissan which one japanese suv is better...for ride experience
Love the simple style. Just perfect.)))))
What they think 1980's retro tech is going to appeal? like fake steam punk run by computers LOL
Your paying all that money for piano black and no stopping in the wet . The 4wheel driving is good though and the V8 sounds great but still too much price for what you get . Paul , i dread the door closing part of your reviews because 9/10 an add starts to play :-)
