It's a shame so many have hardened their hearts, they hate a caricature they made rather than know the True God. Pray for them. God is a loving God who offers hope.

so be it....many claim that we have some internal goodness, we all must develop. Paul says we are ALL desperately wicked, accusing, and accusing ourselves, comparing ourselves. Stop promoting your own righteousness, and turn to Jesus, for the righteous life, you could NEVER live. There is no "good" version of your life. You don't want to stand before Jesus, clothed in your own righteousness.
For the sake of the argument, I’ll grant both total depravity and biblical inerrancy. Everyone *still* has to interpret the text for themselves, and obviously, these vary widely.

@@paulkathysauer I'm certain neither god nor divinity in general exists. But if I'm wrong, it doesn't conclusively follow that yahweh is the god of our universe. So if I'm wrong, it also doesn't conclusively follow that I have everything to lose.
Perhaps we're both wrong, so my lack of religious beliefs and your following jesus may in fact be aggravating to some other god...
