I made a huge jump in my skill development by listening to Jason…I made a D3 club college hockey team by using his methods…I started playing ice at 17 and I’m competing with D3 and junior players and playing well against them. Every year I’m getting better and faster by using Jason’s methods. Don’t quit anyone, train smart and work harder. It will pay off!
Jason Yee is undoubtedly the leader in hockey skill development. I highly recommend you Delve into Train 2.0 for a deeper understanding. Becoming the best in hockey requires a growth mindset, but remember, this mindset and the actions to being the Best is not for everyone…Only The Best!
my off season training is my manual lawn mower on a .5 acre lawn it is really a great work out on my leg's and upper body and the lawn look's really nice l do it every 3 day's.
24:20 - if your team bonds over alcohol or drugs abuse, you're probably not in the best team. It's obviously important to be a team player and be part of the community, but drinking alcohol consistently can damage your muscles and your brain, so it's not really the smartest choice for athletes (hence its ban for pretty much all the college athletes).
Great Video! I just signed up to the course and i love all the videos and information that I have gained, but I was wondering where the 2024 off season would be located. Thanks in advance.
Inside the Downhill Skating System we offer a couple of different courses like Ruthless Strength Training and Downhill Skating Simulation. Also the DSS drills can mostly all be done on rollerblades. Any further questions please let me know! Happy to explain things further.
Any advice on how to plan and program on ice mechanics training over a long period of time like the off season. Is there any general structure to the programming of the mechanics training?
I’ll take a look. The mechanics videos I’ve watched are not simple and require ice. Not exactly off ice training, which I thought the video was about! Maybe I misunderstood that.

In the Standards section with Train 2.0+ my friend. Potentially will put something out for UA-cam at some point 👍

Awesome well first off welcome! You will find it under Train 2.0 Off Ice 👍
How can you train mechanics in the off season, besides getting on the ice?

Downhill Skating System 4 👍
As long as ur doing corkscrews 6 times a week u will be fine
If I have mechanics training/ skills in the morning but also a practice at night should I lay off of other parts of training
Yes you don't need the lower priority things as much, depending on how much energy you have/ how hard things are.
"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." 🙃
💯💯💯
Nice video but no info on which mechanics to focus on.
Litterally his entire channel is what mechanics to focus on
Inside the Downhill Skating System my friend. Also lots of free content on UA-cam 👍
