@AdamOBrien-e4p I use a SYNC, Laine curve, with a 4" extension. I prefer longer sticks, and it allows me greater leverage for my shooting. But I have heard that a rockered lie 4 is what McDavid uses. It's how he can pull in the puck and get more contact from the blade for better shooting.
So wait the reason why I was losing the puck when doing my strides and crossovers was because I had the puck to my side the whole time and should I only have my hands to the side when shooting ?
